A great little Wagon
A simple, quite reliable and very economical Vehicle. Able to haul a large amount of luggage or anything. Will run with any traffic on any highway, all day long.
My second Tracer
My first tracer was a 1992 wagon and very reliable for the six years I owned it. I junked it at 165,000 when the trans broke but that was totally my fault when I bottomed out in a large pothole. I believe I could of had up to 200,000 miles on that car or more. My second tracer, a 1993 model, bought in Nov. 2003 is a 1.9L engine and I have 140,000 miles on it (I bought it at 99,000 miles). I drove from Michigan to Florida and back a few years ago and I got 35-40 mpg. I get about 25 mpg City. For an old car, that is really good.
Good little wagon
The only major problem I've had with this car after 9 years was a cracked valve seat at 140,000 miles. It's had other minor problems throughout, so I've probably spent about $2500 in 9 years of repairs. However, it's always started up and run, never left me stranded. Even with the cracked valve seat, it limped 60 miles home on 3 cylinders. It's not a performer. It'll get up to 100mph but I'd turn the A/C off before trying anything more than half-hearted acceleration. On the other hand, fuel economy is excellent. The fold-down seats and roof rack come in handy.
Great Car
Just bought it less than a year ago, and there have been no problems. My friend that I bought it from owned it much longer and it didn't give him any trouble either! It's definately fast and fun to drive, good compression even after 120K! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
93 tracer wagon
been a good car with very little upkeep, only real problem has been the brakes pads wear out fast
