A few problems
At 5 1/2 years and 52000, after light suburban driving and regular maintenance, the car needed a transmission rebuild and a new front end at a cost of more than $3300. The mechanics seemed not to be surprised, and I know them. Our kids play soccer together, and he is an honest guy. I can only imagine how much this would have cost at a dealer! The biggest problem is that it is the ideal car for our needs.
sable=good
The sable is good. It reminds me of a Ford Taurus. It should be driven by more people.

my review
good family and shopping car
I Went Broke Driving One
I got one as a trade back in 2000, and keeping this car on the road broke my bank. It is, by far, the most expensive-to-maintain vehicle I’ve ever driven. It had electrical problems galore. I replaced it with a 1983 Saab 900 with 386,000 miles on it, that a friend gave me if I could get it running. That was a step up from the sable. I couldn’t afford to keep fixing that sable. I hated that car. Biggest piece of junk I ever had.
