Best driving car in its class.
Drove the GLE 350 and it was underpowered always operating at high revs, once trying the 450 it was the sweet spot of comfort, power, room and safety. Had a lexus RX450 and BMW X5e and like this better for its power comfort roomy interior. The back seat is just too small in BMW and Lexus. Can comfortably seat 4 adults without adjusting front seats and a car seat is no problem. Same car seat in the X5 and kids legs are hitting the front seats. Plus plenty of space this the rear cargo area. The car sounds great and is incredibly planted and just king of the road on the highway not too soft/ not too firm- perfect. Mileage has been good and love having such a large gas tank. 500+ highway miles on a fill up. Purchased CPO+ extended warranty had an issue with radar cruise control and replaced the front facing camera under warranty. Tech takes about 3 weeks to adjust too and is way beyond others. Wish carplay was full screen like BMW rather than a square on display. We’ll see how it holds up through the end of the warranty. Lexus overall did have better fit and finish, but didn’t have the tech, drive feel, mileage range or roominess the Mercedes has for an equivalent vehicle at the time of purchase. And again have never been in a smoother riding vehicle than this.

BMW is better
Too many distractions and voice command works intermittently. Overly complicated layout. The start button placement is odd and so is the steering heat button, they might as well put the steering heat button in the rear seat! ME Connect app is a joke. Ride quality is good but the V4 does show the lag during start times. Same HP, BMW does a fantastic job.
