ride, fit, finish, is great!!! Cost of general mantenance is high, but a necessary evil . Dealership reps. sales, ect are very personable and answer all questions Front end sets low as a result you must watch out for the tire bump stop in parking lots, not to drive over them I did and it grabbed the lower spoiler tore it up, bent left fender bolth needed to be replaced. So now I turn on the camera before I drive up to the stops

Lease end on 2014 E350, like the car and decided to purchase the 2016 E400. Love the E400 for the speed and all the options, love the massage seat. Solid car and no problem. Go for the E400, the price difference to E350 is not much.

Enjoying our E400 Cab around town or on road

Face it, most people, if they can afford it, purchase based on exterior styling. We loved the look of the e400 Cabriolet. Having had an earlier Mercedes convertible sedan, we knew what we were getting into. In this kind of car, you trade off style and fun for a certain amount of constraint in the sizes of the passenger compartment and trunk. Still we can seat four fairly comfortably and the trunk can be packed full if the ragtop stays up. With top down, the system for sheltering passengers from wind is very effective, and the "scarf" neck warmers really work. This is our first turbo V-6 and both its performance and fuel economy have been pleasant surprises. So has the near-instant response of the paddle shifters for changing gears. The car handles quite well, with suspension just stiff enough to yield both cornering and comfort. Steering feel is also pretty good, but slightly over-boosted for my tastes. The car is built at the minimum legal ground clearance, so we have to watch it when parking near curbs (long, low nose) or going over speedbumps, drainage, etc. Our biggest complaint is the interface to the entertainment and (especially) the navigation systems. If your standard is iOS or Android, the touchscreen and voice recognition of the Mercedes will seem overly complex and clunky. Who wants to spend that much time learning the interface, which is far from intuitive? After almost three years, the car has been trouble- free, only requiring routine maintenance. Mercedes changed the e400 Cab body style a bit last year, but fortunately for us, this refresh did not did not significantly outdate the appearance of the 2016 model.

I've been driving my E400 for several months. If the regular maintenance is taken care of this car has absolutely no issues. I've noticed several of the reviews for the 2016 E-Class docking the safety of the vehicle, which I would quickly like to say is not true or fair in any way. I recently got into a head on collision where a Chevy Silverado decided to jump the median. The cabin stayed in tact, the front end... not so much. I was going around 40mph, and I walked away from the incident. From the inside of the vehicle you can't tell there was an accident apart from the airbags having been deployed. If you are looking for a safe vehicle, MB has always been an option, and the E-Class has always been my go-to. The only place I would take points off of this vehicle is the price, as maintenance is obviously expensive. If you purchase this vehicle and are not prepared to pay several hundred, if not thousands, in service fees, you probably shouldn't be buying a Mercedes. As for the ride, it's a little bumpy, but definitely and improvement from my 2014 E350. I'm not sure why you wouldn't be satisfied with the acceleration of this vehicle, as it really has some jump, even in economy mode. I think the interior is very comfortable, even with a tight set of back seats. The back seats fold down to allow for extra storage space, so I've never really had a problem hauling around bags and groceries; when the back seats are folded there's enough space to lay down in the back... I would not purchase this vehicle anywhere other than a Mercedes dealership, or without a maintenance package. My local dealership has been extremely helpful. Never had the car break down, but it has had an issue with the cooling system and the air conditioning, which was fixed at no cost within a week. Even with a coolant issue, the car was still driving, displaying a warning of reduced power. The display system in the interior is not easy to figure out on your own, so I recommend having the sales rep show you everything there is to know about the car or finding an in depth youtube video and taking the time to learn the car inside and out. Overall I think Mercedes has done an excellent job with this model, and I will be continuing my loyalty to the mercedes line.

It takes a couple of hours to become acquainted with all the technology features but after the dealer familiarization coupled with the online videos at MBUSA.COM..it really a snap! Very impressive car; looked at several luxury sedans by various high end OEMs but came back to MB.
