A great car.
My E320 has been a great car so far. The ride is really smooth and street bumps can hardly be felt. The six cylinder has plenty of power even when the car is full of passengers. The am radio had terrible reception because of a loose antenna but was fixed. Another problem initially was a malfunctioning alternator sensor but again was fixed. The fit and finish is excellent. I traded a 2001 C320 for this because the C had many problems.
The E-Class
I enjoy driving my E-Class Sedan. When we drive through neighborhnoods with new homes people wave at us because in our Benz - they can tell that we really do belong there. If I park in front of a business and go in, I am shown much more respect than when we drove our Buick or Ford. I feel important when I drive our car. My only regret is that we can't afford the S-Class, Yet! Or that we may never be able to afford the Saloon!

The worst benz ever made
This car is the worst peice of junk that Mercedes ever made. So far it only has to things going for it the Mercedes badge and the slick exterior styling. I should have got a lexus I would have paid less and still have luxury.
Whadabout da paint chips!
I've only had this car for about 4 months now but this car is great. I love the way it looks from the outside, but the interior could be better. The V8 is just right for me, but that doesn't mean that the E320 is weak and slow. I love this car. But am I the only person that notices how easily this car gets paint chips? This is my biggest problem with the car. I think the older models had more durable paint.
E55 - The "Q" Car
Love the power and few know what you are really driving. Needs more leg room for really long drives for those of us over six feet tall (your right foot will cramp). Handling is great, love those "g" forces in a rock solid corner at high speed. It was the first delivered in the SE and I have put 10K miles on it this last year.
Great family car
Considered LS and 540. Chose E430 for good blend of performance and luxury. It's perfect for our family of 4.
2002 E-320
Well recognized and respected vehicle.
Great car, Bad service
I love this car!!! However, there are a couple of cheap points, the plastic driver's vanity mirror has broken twice, the cup holder has broken 3 times, and my catalytic converter 2 times. The material bottom of the door would be better like my 190e as plastic, the material gets too dirty. Service seems to send it out with problems it didn't previusly have.
Great Car
This is my first Mercedes. I am not disappointed! The car looks great, drives great and is built great. I test drove them all, the 5-series, GS300, A6 and Infiniti, and the Mercedes-Benz had by far the smoothest of rides for my taste. Highly recommended if your looking for style, ride comfort and dependability.
Could be Better
The looks and lines of the car with the sport package is outstanding! The engine is peppy while not a gas hog. Steering is heavy at times in turns. The turning radius is great in tight spots. The ride has been disappointing for a luxury $50k+ car. Frankly, I have driven cars costing half as much that ride better on rough surfaces. The single wiper is an issue as it never seems to clear the windsshield very well. The ventilation never seems to adjust correctly. It blows cold air in the winter and warm air in the summer.
MB at its best
Long time dream of driving a MB finally came true. Very sophisticated drive, smooth, but not overly soft suspension. 430 engine is excellent. Feels tank- sturdy despite being relatively light- weight. Bought and plan to drive it for 10 or so years, will serve me just fine and will look just as respectable as today - they hold value and prestige very well.
We love it!
This automobile has been exceptional. I have been a Cadillac owner for about 20 years and switched to Mercedes because of a bad dealer experience. I was not thrilled with the Mercedes at first, because it was different. However, the longer I have the car, the better it gets. For the first time in my life, I am seriously considering keeping this car for more than 2 to 3 years. It has truly been a pleasure to own. The service is exceptional, and the attention the car gets is unbelievable! Everyone knows what it is. Everyone thinks that it cost much more than it did. The gas mileage is fantastic, and the comfort is outstanding. If I trade this year, it will be for another just like it
I expected the best and I got the best!
My 2002 Mercedes-Benz E430 is an xcellent overall sedan. It has great performance, great handling, and has been trouble free.
Dreamboat
Not too big, not too small. This car is perfect...
Elegance, power and prestige
A great car to drive if you enjoy driving! Power all around. At start, when passing in tight driving areas, and superb handling. All at a very reasonable miles per gallon. Average city and highway about 21 mls/gl. One of the best Mercedes I ever drove.
Power Plus Quality
Has all the power you could want and transfers it to the pavement well. Absolutely no mechanical problems in nearly 2 years.
Wanders on the road
Car will hold a straight line. I have to constantly move the steering wheel to keep it between the lines. I have not driven drunk in 30 years, but I could hold a straight line in my old Ford drunk than I can the E 320 sober. I am VERY disappointed.
2002 Mercedes C-320 Wagon -37,000 miles
I purchased this Mercedes with 37,000 miles from a dealer whose wife had been driving it. Mileage is 21.5 to 28 MPG. It is a joy to drive on trips and around town as a daily driver. The sport package is worth the cost. It handles great. The 320 engine is strong and has good acceleration when passing or entering interstate on ramps. The car would be fun to drive with a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission. As it is, it is a sleeper and will jump any 3 series BMW. Room in the car is more than adequate with the storage space being a strong point. Interior is comfortable. The Bose audio system with the disc changer is a real value and is superb in sound and function. At $16,000 it was a great value.
E 55 born to drive
I first drove a Benz a couple of years prior to owning one, and I never thought I would have so much fun! I looked at and drove BMW's, Audi's and a few domestics, but the E 55 blew them all away! With 355 bhp (according to factory specs) you'll be attaining 0-60 in just under 6 sec. It's a true rocket ship that I just have a lot of fun driving. True, a bit expensive on repairs, but this thing is worth the effort! Go get one and enjoy! BCR
Best Car on the Road
Hands down the best I've driven. Classic car with high tech engineering.
