Used 2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Consumer Reviews
Could be Better
The looks and lines of the car with the sport package is outstanding! The engine is peppy while not a gas hog. Steering is heavy at times in turns. The turning radius is great in tight spots. The ride has been disappointing for a luxury $50k+ car. Frankly, I have driven cars costing half as much that ride better on rough surfaces. The single wiper is an issue as it never seems to clear the windsshield very well. The ventilation never seems to adjust correctly. It blows cold air in the winter and warm air in the summer.
GOOD BUY

The E-Class
I enjoy driving my E-Class Sedan. When we drive through neighborhnoods with new homes people wave at us because in our Benz - they can tell that we really do belong there. If I park in front of a business and go in, I am shown much more respect than when we drove our Buick or Ford. I feel important when I drive our car. My only regret is that we can't afford the S-Class, Yet! Or that we may never be able to afford the Saloon!
MB at its best
Long time dream of driving a MB finally came true. Very sophisticated drive, smooth, but not overly soft suspension. 430 engine is excellent. Feels tank- sturdy despite being relatively light- weight. Bought and plan to drive it for 10 or so years, will serve me just fine and will look just as respectable as today - they hold value and prestige very well.
The worst benz ever made
This car is the worst peice of junk that Mercedes ever made. So far it only has to things going for it the Mercedes badge and the slick exterior styling. I should have got a lexus I would have paid less and still have luxury.
