Best sport sedan on the market!
I drove the BMW 3 series, Acura TL, Lexus IS300, Volvo S60 but none compare to the 2005 C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan. I really thought I wanted a BMW, but the dealer was awful and the car was plain with no options. The Mercedes dealer was WONDERFUL and the 2005 C-class is beautiful and feels much more expensive than it is (vs the BMW that feels cheap). My wife immediately said "this is the one" when we went on the test drive. The console lid was broken on delivery but the dealer offered to come to my house the next day to fix it. I'll be a Mercedes driver for life!
Best Value in Sport Sedan
I drove the BMW 325i, Lexus IS300, Saab 9-3 Arc, & Acura TSX, before buying the C230K. BMW was great at everything, but adding 17" wheels and sport pkg made it more than the MB, which came standard with 17" wheels & sport susp. Also, could get lthr-faced seats w/o high- cost lthr pkg. Added sunroof pkg which gets you the cool power rear sunshade and rain-sensing wipers. Lexus had smaller backseats and trunk, Saab had low resale value & turbo lag & fr wh drive. TSX is value leader, but fr wh drive hurt handling & interior too much like an Accord (which it is). C230 is very quick, point-&-shoot handling, AWESOME exterior styling w/AMG trim, incredible stopping power, fabulous gas mileage-32hwy!

Happy First Benz Owner
The truth be know everyone knows me as Mr. Frugal. I have to say that my Mercedes-Benz C230 Sport Sedan is one of the best non-investment purchases that I have ever made. Besides the heads that turn every time I pass anyone, this vehicle is a real treat to own. It has good low-end torque, its braking is exellent, it handles nice, and gets great gas milage. Let's face it, when it comes to performance the Germans are tops. This car should be on you must test drive list. The only complaint I have, is that I'm 6'1 and I could use a little more leg room, but other that that it's perfect...and it fit into Mr. Frugal's budget. This is a great car.
Feels Great
I traded in my '03 G35 for this little gem. Not as fast as the G35, but a wonderful, solid feel. Extremely well made, great handling, and MUCH better gas mileage. I'm much less likely to get speeding tickets, yet I'm really enjoying driving this exceptional car. The "Tiptronic" manual shifting is much better, quicker, than in the G35.
A car named Desire
Excellent driving pleasure with pleasing exteriors. Responds to control very well. Superior acoustics and a 6 change CD player make driving fun. Besides, the dealership is excellent with tremendous post sales follow up. In fact, that was the major deciding factor as the Lexus and BMW salespersons were so lacklustre in their sales pitch that I was apprehensive if they would have any post-sales interest in me at all. However, still feel I was slightly overcharged for the car so go with the invoice and don't budge while bargaining.
