C240 is a classic understated sedan

I bought mine new in July, 2002. Generally, with over 16,000 miles on it, my C240 has performed well, especially on long drives, where it is really in its element. The one thing I do not like is there is very weak pickup on it, which is dangerous if you need to merge or drive into traffic from a standing idle, especially for a U-turn across multiple lanes. Otherwise, the quality and design of the car, and its solid performance makes it an operational dream pleasant to behold. Mine was manufactured in Stuttgart.

A great car but got some bad stuff Engine is powerful and awesome especially when you reaches 65 70 miles/ hour you'll be flouting on air! its cool classy car you would enjoy it if you can spend 1000$ each month on it because of the Very expensive original parts it got very good mileage on the highways it can exceed 250km/20L ( like 30mpg) on long rides . in the city it may range between 13 to 17L/100km top I face some Air Mass sensor troubles it AC compressor is went down when i spilled a drink inside the AC Oil change each 3000 km for like 50 60$ top .

Rock Solid with Slick Design

The exterior design and the Mercedes brand are what first drew my attention. This is an aggressive, muscular wedge of a car with thoughtful Mercedes design cues throughout. I've loved the safety features and it's a blast to drive. I expect this car to last me a while. I chose the brilliant silver exterior with black leather interior. Although the smallest Mercedes, it has all the looks of the bigger Benz. Just a few complaints. Lack of a CD player is astonishing in this day and age. Lots of brake dust on front rotors. Front cupholder is a little overwrought. But, I'm picking at details. This car has class and character. I get more comments about this car than any other I've driven.

I have had my new 2002 C320 for 7 months now and no repairs needed yet -- at all. The power moonroof occasionally gets out of sync, but by checking the manual, I discovered that I just have to hold the rear pop-up button for a couple of seconds to resync it. Other than that, no glitches at all in 7 months. Amazing! It's an absolute joy to drive. Amazing power, tho not quite as agile as my '75 MBZ, which had a tighter suspension

After more than two years it is still exhilirating to get behind the wheel of this vehicle. Quality, look and respect are tops in its class. Although some competitors may offer more features and higher rated horsepower - I've had no regrets. C- 240 has more than enough acceleration and speed. Now that I have a toddler its a bit cramped with the baby seat, diaper bag and stroller though. I would buy again, but go for E class or a minivan/suv if you're starting a family.
