Really like this car
I bought my 2024 AMG GT 53 C4 new after Porsche was unable to find me a new Panamera that would be available. I traded in my LC500 Convertible, which was a nice car but I wanted something with 4 doors that still had some zip. The 53 has plenty of grunt for me. In Sport Plus mode, the acceleration is impressive and the exhaust note is SWEET. The "soft hybrid" system kicks in with authority between shifts providing a satisfying kick in the pants. This is not a sports car, its big and its heavy. It excels on the highway. I drove Alligator Alley from Naples to Miami and back, this thing is a highway BOMBER. It felt totally planted, I'm not going to divulge the speed I was driving, lets just say I would love to try it on the Autobahn. The interior is something special. After a year of ownership, I still enjoy getting in the car. The rear passenger bucket seats bring raves when we take people out to dinner. The only issue I have, and it is not a complaint, is that I cannot take the car to the carwash. The tires are so fat that they do not fit in the carwash tracks because the tires / wheels rub and scrape all the way through the wash. It isn't the first car that I had to wash by hand and I love the look of the big fat meaty Michelin Pilots.
