Decent value for money
I used to lease a 2023 Mazda CX-5 select. The vehicle was not but also wasn’t great. I will start off with my dislikes with the vehicle. first Mazda invested in a wonderful entertainment system with a large screen but you don’t have the option to touch the screen to interact with the entertainment system and our forced to use a dial in the center console, which is not really a great thing because if anything, it is a distraction because you have to turn the dial in order to get to the application that you want to select it would be so much easier to have the touchscreen option available on all trim levels and not just on the higher trim level. The second thing I disliked about this vehicle was the fact that Apple CarPlay was unavailable wirelessly you had to plug your phone directly into the car and have it charge in order to use Apple CarPlay. Which ultimately I had to purchase a third-party adapter to allow me to use, Apple CarPlay wirelessly. The third thing I disliked about this vehicle was the breaking power on the car. It was so terrible that many times you had to be really careful to not be close to another vehicle as it could be possible that you could get into an accident because you did not have enough stopping power in the brakes . Definitely it should be something that Mazda should have installed Better brakes on the vehicle. The next thing that I dislike about this vehicle was the fact that the auto collision sensor sometimes would apply the brakes, even when another vehicle was not in close proximity of the vehicle in order to be a hazard for an accident. I had reached out to Mazda to resolve this issue and they were unwilling to fix it. By stating to me that I would have to bring it into the dealership and pay for them to do an evaluation, which I don’t think was fair being the issue I had was a huge safety issue. The next thing I dislike was the way Mazda customer service would sometimes handle my request. They would take days just to respond to my one email that I had sent with questions regarding my account. Now for the things that I liked about this vehicle was number one the storage space in the trunk. It was so large that no joke you can fit a brand new dishwasher in the back no problem. And also, the seats were very comfortable, and it was nice that I had the option to have leather and suede. Also, the next thing that I liked about the vehicle was the fact that you had the ability to remote start the car from the app, which was very nice and came in handy during the winter months. Overall, I would say this is a great family car and a decent bike but just beware that Mazda is unwilling to fix a lot of the issues and you have to resort to fixing them yourselves.

Not 100% happy
I bought the 2023 CX5. It’s a beautiful white with white and black interior. I’ve had several problems starting with the vibration between 40 and 65 miles an hour. The strip in the roof between the passenger door and the sunroof came off twice! They told me that I shouldn’t go through a car wash because that can cause that to happen! In all of my years driving I’ve never heard of such a thing! I also wonder why the headlights won’t turn off when I turn it to off!🤔 First and last time buying a Mazda.

Mazda CX-5 bad experience
Mazda is not great Cx5 is horrible drive Car feels shaky when drive like you are riding horse cart Worst car ever, I am going to trade it in with best cars Toyota or Honda nothing else I was mistaken about this car and how cheap and poor is. the market lies about it so don't make same mistake as i did, you may pay little and not much more to buy Toyota or Honda or any other car but Mazda, when you drive it in busy traffic, you will hate the car more and it shakes like horse cart. hope i give people my advice and it is a struggle and will end up losing money because of it. NEVER AGAIN.
I Still Love Mazda
Nice driving experience, fun to drive.
Rented a CX-5 for a week - what a MISTAKE
We recently returned from a trip to New England area. Flew into Logan Airport. Had reserved a mid-sized SUV from Budget. Got to the counter, and was told "sorry we don't have your car, but we can give you a minivan". After complaining about what we had pre-paid, we wound up taking a Mazda CX-5, a horrible little compact SUV. Either a 2021 or a 2022 model. I am only 5'-9", but was cramped because the seat would not go back far enough. Infotainment system was not intuitive and much worse than Toyota or Honda products. Seats uncomfortable for longer than 10 min (hard as a rock). Most key fobs have buttons on the main face, but these are on the side, and hard to figure out. Tailgate would open fine from the rear, but not from key fob. Burned a quart of oil in 1500 miles. Not ever renting a Mazda again.
