Mazda CX-5 is worth a look

I took the AWD utility of our Ford Explorer and the sportyness of my Mazda 3 and combined these 2 styles into my purchase of a new 2013 Mazda CX-5. The CX-5 hasn't disappointed in having these combined characteristics. It's both a capable SUV in bad weather and fun to drive. It is well equipped for this class. On board computer consistently record 32 MPG combines gas mileage.

Great Family Car Super Fuel Efficient

Great car all around for the money. It's not going to win any races however I love the fact that I get 30.1 MPG in town. 32 MPG HWY. Rear view is a bit of a challenge when backing up. Everything else on the car is great. Really needs more cup holders. Rides very well. Sits up high. Very nimble. Great handling. I bought mine used with 28,000 miles. Now has 50,000 and is going strong. No major repairs at this point. I replaced a Mazda 5 with this vehicle I do miss the 3rd seat. I think my next upgrade will be the Mazda CX-9.

Great Car but climate Control does not work correctly

My only real complaint is the Automatic Climate Control is not automatic. If the outdoor temperature is 85 Degrees and the temperature is set to 62F on the automatic temperature control the blower will run at 50% and slow down in 5 minutes to 25%. After 30 minutes of driving the temperature in the car is 78 degrees. The dealer said this is normal. I sent an E-Mail to customer care, a week later they repeated what the dealer said and would not take any further action on behalf. This causes me to have to manually maintain the temperature by varying the fan speed and switching the air intake. I can only assume all of the CX-5's (Possibly all Mazda's)will operate the same way. Be AWARE of this.

Hi, Got my Silver metalic CX-5 sport model two months back. Ride quality is very good. Acceleration feels slightly under powered as it feels little sluggish while changing lanes or moving after a stop light, the brighter side it's fuel efficient. No regrets. Love it so far.

Overall this has been a great vehicle for me - only downside is paint quality on front hood - after only a few months, there is a penny sized paint free zone; but this car has been reliable, dependable, fun and easy to drive.
