Used 2015 Mazda 6 i Touring 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 6M) Consumer Reviews
Owned CX9 for 10 years,loved it.Not so much for M6
I purchased a new Mazda 6 in 2015. I was impressed by the car's handling during initial test drive. Exterior and interior design is very elegant and sporty with 19" wheels and high quality interior materials. However, during the 3 years of driving this car too many things overshadowed my first impression. While the car still handles corners very well, accelerates and brakes just fine, the overall ride quality is very poor, suspension and low profile tires are very stiff, so unless the pavement is perfect the ride is very choppy and very tiring over long hauls. Engine is noisy. Sound insulation in general is bad. Road noise and wind noise are almost deafening at speeds over 70 mph. The car sits very low and is somewhat difficult to get in and out. In a touring version you get a power driving seat but no lumbar support adjustment. Bluetooth connection is lost every time you exit the vehicle you have to reconnect the phone every time you get it. The infotament screen isnt very intuitive. Hood, gas tank and trunk release buttons are all cluttered in one hard to reach place, below to the left of the steering wheel, they are small, barely seen and you almost inevitably push the wrong button. Trunk is very shallow. Heat distribution is poor: when its supposed to blow only at your feet, front vents blow about equally strong. Its not uncommon to have a half frozen windshield when the heater is at windshield/feet position and i its below 25F. I purchased a new Mazda CX9 in 2007, drove it for 10 years and had over 260,000 miles on it when I sold it. I had zero complaints about this car. While Mazda depreciates much faster that Toyota or Honda, if you keep it long enough its worth it. With Mazda 6, however, Im counting the days until my son gets his driver license so I can give him this car and move on to something else. If I sell it right now I will probably loose close to half of what I paid for it 3 years ago. Major disappointment.

6 years old and still going very strong
I've driven about 25K Kms per year on this car, it's been almost 6 years and I've had almost zero problems (1 recall on the e-brakes). It bought a loaded manual car and never looked back. At the time in late 2014 this was pretty much the only family sized sedan that I could get which was fun to drive and had a manual transmission with all the bells and whistles. Can't say enough good things about this car, it has aged really well. I hope to keep me car for another 10 years as it's getting increasingly difficult to find a manual car for a family man like myself.

Great car with costly glitch
I love the car and all its features except when the side monitoring system failed at 39000 miles and dealer wanted $1200 to fix. Mazda corp wouldn't help out. As a result I will never buy another Mazda and have told my story to dozens of prospective buyers.

Second 6
This is my second Mazda 6 - my first was a 2005 iSport that I drove for 267000 miles. I loved that car. However, when other reviewers talk about that the 4cyl engine is sluggish and slow on the take off, the 2015 is a VAST improvement over previous versions. I find my new 6 to be very responsive and quick compared to my old 6 (and a Toyota and Hyundia) . Plenty of "get up and go" for pulling out in traffic, passing and highway driving. It's much quieter and handles beautifully. It's still fun to drive. zoom zoom
