Just as expected
This was a jump from what we normally buy. It's our first into the luxury market. Wish we did it sooner. Make sure you buy from a dealer you may service with. The Lexus relationship so far has been above expectation.

Great cross over SUV, not for everyone
I'm writing this review because I leased the 2018 NX300 F Sport for mostly my wife to drive a safer vehicle that can handle the winter months as well. I see the same complaints from many consumers, too small, bad infotainment, poor fuel mileage, and other minor issues. So far, we do city driving which is mostly stop and go traffic averaging 17mpg. On the highway I can average 32mpg at 60mph, 27mpg at 75mph. It is a great small SUV for anyone who wants to lease it. I know Lexus has really good reliable cars and that is why I leased mine. Pros: F sport styling, two tone red interior, really good safety features, fuel consumption depends on how you drive, decent storage, long distance driving on the F Sport seats were actually comfortable, ride comfort is very good, perfect for a small Family, compared to the competition I think this is your best bet. The NX has done really well in the snow for those who are looking for a good winter car, the heated and cooled seats are very nice as well. Cons: Terrible infotainment system, we only use our phones GPS, a bit of torque steer, I would recommend the non F sport model for better comfort and more options, slight rattle on the side view mirrors, tight cabin, remote start features are limited. Summary: I have not seen any major problems from other owners about reliability, so if this is a car you intend to keep then buy it, if not lease it. I am considering buying if after the lease is up. Even though I feel Lexus can do better with their electronics, I leased this car with an option to buy because of the Toyota/Lexus reliability. The 2015 nx200s had some issues but they were addressed in the 2018 and up models. It is a lot to pay for a small CUV but the car offers a well rounded driving experience. Those who complain that the NX is small, why didn't you buy a bigger SUV? I already have a bigger SUV, this is my second smaller SUV for my wife which fits us well. It's all about user preference, and I think you may have to sacrifice certain quirks when it comes to reliability.

My very first Lexus and I LOVE IT!
I have been wanting a Lexus for the longest time and finally at age 61 1/2, I was able to finally afford to lease one. I originally wanted the 350 but settled on the 300 because it was in my price range. I have to say.. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT! I love this SUV.. The luxury of the ride, the interior design, the sound system... Everything just feels top of the line! And the size is perfect for me!

Thumb up
The car is a quality vehicle. Nice ride. The only negative I have is the navigation system. They should leave it out all together I use my phone on most trips. The mouse pad should be replaced with a touch screen
Excellence Again!
I have owned over 6 Lexus vehicles and have been satisfied with each one. It is worth the premium over the Toyota brand. Very reliable and reasonable maintenance costs (esp. compared to other European brands; which I have owned as well).

NX300 is not the SUV you think!
I just returned from a 2,400 mile road trip in my new Lexus NX300 AWD SUV. The car delivered a respectable 25.6 mpg combined city and highway driving. I found the NX300 front seats were exceptionally comfortable and the NX delivered an overall tranquil smooth ride; but, the NX interior falls short on being a practical SUV. Four adults going on a long trip are hard pressed due to the hemmed in cabin and cargo space. Four standard 30” suit cases (the largest case airlines will check), will not fit in the back cargo space, “Upgrading” from a 2014 Toyota RAV4 Limited to a 2018 Lexus NX300 has been a disappointment. Both cars are built off the same platform, but the NX300 has less cabin room and cargo space. The Rear seating is tighter in the NX 300; especially, in the middle seat. The NX is basically a four-seat car. The Rear visibility and head room is less in the NX, and driver seat entering and exiting is a head banging experience. The NX has a power seat easy access system (the driver seat automatically lowers and pulls back on ignition shut off), but it crushes the rear seat occupant. Also, the center console is overly wide, giving the driver a hemmed in feeling. This car is not for six-footers. Cabin road noise is about the same in both the RAV4 and NX thought the Lexus does have a slightly smoother ride and beefier engine. Though the peppier engine comes at a hidden long-term cost: it uses premium gas (91 octane) which isn’t openly presented. Premium gas can cost an extra $.70 to $.90 cents per gallon in most areas. Most of the control buttons on the NX are an ergonomic mess. Some are below the steering wheel level that are hard to see; while others, on the dashboard center cluster sit directly in the sun light. The greenish yellow LED lights on/off positions cannot be differentiated on sunny days. The NX300 touch pad infotainment/ navigation system is a challenge to learn and use. If you’re cell phone or computer “challenged”, this is not the car for you. Be prepared to spend hours reading the owner manuals. It’s interesting Toyota has moved Lexus to extremely computer-type controls that may appeal to the younger driver, who generally cannot afford a luxury car; and, has abandoned simplicity preferred by the older driver who can afford a luxury car. Be prepared to increase your monthly car payments, in the future, if you want to keep your “LEXUS EXPERIENCE”. Besides the free trial subscription period for satellite radio there are three other free trail subscriptions for 1) remote start, 2) navigation system and 3) Wi-Fi (Verizon only). The remote start feature works off a downloaded app on your smart cell phone. Each “advanced “ feature will cost $8.00 a month if kept. This isn’t openly presented either. I feel The NX300 interior kills this car on being considered a luxury car. The interior falls short on being engaging, innovative, unique, spacious or practical. Four people cannot take this nice riding vehicle on a long ride trip, or even to the airport, because of the hemmed in cargo space the exterior design creates. SIT IN THE DIFFERENT SEATS FOR A LONG TIME BEFORE YOU PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE! It is not a family vehicle or SUV, or a personal use vehicle for a large person!

Good Ride; Terrible Infotainment
There were a lot of things to like about this car. It's smooth, quiet, handled pretty well. The seats are really comfortable. The downside was the infotainment center. I did not get the Navigation option, and I would recommend getting it, but it still wouldn't solve some of the issues. First off the infotaiment was controlled by a touchpad (not touch screen -- touchpad). It was nearly impossible to do anything precise. Selecting something was a chore, because you couldn't get it to center on the right option. Next, when going through your radio presets, it would go randomly go back to the beginning. 1->2->3->4->1 (instead of 5), you could skip directly to 5, but then you'd have to use that wonderful touchpad. Finally, my biggest issue -- the navigation. I didn't get the navigation package preloaded into the car, instead I used Lexus' custom app -- Scout GPS. It was supposed to connect via USB and pull up a map. It never pulled up a map (saying it needed to be connected via USB, which I was). It only sometimes loaded anything at all, much less text-only directions. Even if it did load up the directions it would sometimes be 3 to 4 miles behind. Most of the time, my wife would pull up the directions on her phone and do it that way. I would use my own phone, but there isn't anywhere to actually put the phone on the center console. In short, I would highly recommend the Navigation package (it was an extra $3-4k when I bought), if you can live with the terrible touchpad. Everything else was pretty good.

First and last Lexus
We were ready to downsize and gain all the latest safety technology after years in a Nissan Armada which we dearly loved. The Lexus has underwhelmed in the following areas: 1) luggage space is very impractical. We knew it was small before we bought it but were surprised that we can't even fit a normal family's amount of groceries without either removing the luggage cover or folding down 1/2 of the back seat. 2) the feature to wave your foot under the rear bumper to open the hatch only works about 5% of the time 3) the "beep" that sounds when you open the hatch from the key fob or from the button on the dash is much too loud inside the car; we now never open it when we're still in the car because the beep is so obnoxious 3) the angle of the accelerator pedal is awkward, leading to ankle pain on a drive of more than 30 minutes - this definitely wouldn't have shown up on a test drive. 4) the car rattles at 5k miles much more than our previous Nissans did with tens of thousands of miles 5) the infotainment system - which we read about before test driving and tried out during the test drive -- is just maddening in real-world use; the mouse pad pointer is very distracting when you're actually operating the vehicle versus using it when parked; it's just about impossible to easily view and respond to a text message that comes in while you're driving 5) the built-in Lexus navigation is absolutely worthless compared to Waze or Google Maps on our phone 6) the angle of the steering wheel - while adjustable for reach and rake - is at an awkward angle with the top of the wheel further away than the bottom to such a degree that it's difficult to find a good position that doesn't obscure part of the instruments 7) the climate controls are awkward to use and it doesn't maintain temperature very well in the auto setting 8) the gas mileage is very bad for this size of vehicle especially when driving in the city 9) the sound of the engine is not refined, it sounds strained when first accelerating. The only things we really like about the car is the overall proportions and styling - minus the horrible grille that is on every Lexus, and the fact that it has a real with gears transmission - not a CVT, which we will never own from any automaker. Shame on us that we didn't notice some of these items before purchasing, but shame on Lexus for not sweating the details on many of these. We know for a fact that their competitors do most of the things that irritate better as we also have a 2018 Honda Accord 2.0T with the 10 speed automatic which is just about perfect, except for being too low to the ground. If Honda would put the 10 speed auto in the CRV instead of a CVT, we would have bought that instead of this Lexus. Thank goodness it's a lease.

Lexus NX 300 2018
smaller SUV than the RX 350. Handles well. Better priced.

My NX 300
I had the RX350, great car, wanted something a tad smaller. My NX300 is also great, I’m enjoying it.
Great car
Just purchased a certified pre owned NX 300. This is my second Lexus. Most recently I drove a Jaguar XF and honestly, I’m glad to be back in a Lexus. The NX is a bit smaller than the RX which is perfect for me. It drives like a dream and has every bell and whistle I can imagine. I have no complaints. I also test drove the VW Atlas cross sport and the Cadillac XT5. The Lexus stood out on luxury and “feel”. If you’re looking for a luxury small SUV this is your car.
Great little Suv but 2022 is major upgrade .
Had 2016 f sport 3 RX 350 . Loved it but wanted to downsize for easier parking and didn’t need the big one since empty nested. Went to 2018 nx300 f sport 3. Happy with it with few buts . Power is bit weak compared to the upgraded 2022 model In turbo form or the new 450 h . Would say power is 7 /10. Handling with f sport adjustable shocks to me is 8 /10 on highest sport setting and I drive mountain roads . Brakes not bad not great . 7/10 Interior quality is 9/10 love my two tone red interior with silver exterior . Comfort 8/10 overall front and back . 9/10 front . Quiet ride and smooth . 9/10. That touchpad setup is not great the 2022 goes to touchscreen much better . But I adjusted to it the 2016 rx350 interface was worse than the 2018 nx300. I do plan to upgrade to nx350 in few years it was too far above my budget for now but I don’t feel like the nx300 is too much of a step down from my rx350 . And think tech rating is not like an 8/10 I like the lane departure warning like radar cruise blind spot monitoring collision detection 360 view camera . Auto headlights usually work pretty good . Anyway decent comfortable quiet smooth vehicle . Overall to me a solid 8/10 . Even 8.5 . I am happy with Lexus much more than my German cars . And will stay brand loyal to Lexus I am pretty sure .

No 300f sport
Great suv should come with leather seats standard in this price range. Needs to get better gas mileage. Trainer said automatic braking / pre collusion only works when in adaptive cruise control mode. Not sure if this is true and not sure how to test. Unfortunate if this is true.

New Lexus Lease
There's some road noise that enters the car cabin, wind noise isn't notice. The biggest complaint is the entertainment system, there's a large learning curve. It took me a week to get know the system. I'm not able to give a complete review, because I only had the car for two weeks.

2018 NX 300 - just the right fit
Smooth, comfortable, quiet, roomy and reliable. Cons: Not the most powerful engine, but you won't miss it. Small cargo but if cargo is what your looking for then you go up a class anyway. Remote start would be nice to add.

Love it but would prefer a 6 cylinder
I really like my NX300. I would have preferred an Rx350 but a car accident sent me to this vehicle unexpectedly. It rides nice and mine is very sporty. Lots of bells and whistles but also lots of really good safety measures.

Solid Investment
This care is a smart buy for anyone jumping into the luxury market, especially if you are single. This might not be good for a family of 5 at all but if you need something to pack camping stuff in and go on a long road trip in a bit of luxury it’s great. Tough things about it include the need to fill tires with nitrogen. Topping the tires off can be done at any dealership for free but if you are in a tough spot and need to fill the. With regular air you can but should have them deflated and freckled with nitrogen as soon as possible. Premium gas is needed as well but running it in eco mode helps save on gas. The interior is amazing, and the entire car feels solid and looks beautiful. Lexus really pays attention to the details, everything from puddle lights in the door handles coming on automatically when you approach the car to auto folding mirrors when locked. This is definitely a single or childless couples ideal car. Or an older car but type. Nobody in the middle with a lot of kids would find any use for this car at all. Especially considering you have to take good care of it, with nitrogen in the tires premium gas and yes car washes. One thing about this car is that it can rust pretty easy so if you live in a hard weathered area like me (I live in Wisconsin) where there is a lot of precipitation and salt on the roads, you are going to want to wash the under body of the car every couple of weeks and try and have the thing garaged. Again, it’s a single person or childless couple’s car so you gotta take care of it like that. But if you are considering it and have the time to take care of it then it will take care of you. Maintenance cost is low because of common parts with Toyota and flawless reliability so it won’t give you issues if you keep up with it. Finally, I’d say with snow it is good especially in the forced all wheel drive mode but you gotta be careful depending on the type o snow. If you want to keep up with the 4x4’s on the road you are gonna need some super grippy tires. It is ultimately OK on snow but I wouldn’t drive it like an SUV.
Stunning Lovable Lexus 300NX!
This Lexus NX fits me perfectly since I am all of 5 ft 3 in tall. We were involved in a complete rollover and landed upside down in our 2010 RX. The RX never collapsed even though all our weight was above us while I pulled my unconscious husband from the vehicle. Which is why we have a 300NX, especially with all the safety technology we now have in our 300NX.
No problem
Good car. Good mileage. No mechanical issues except me scyratch the car eminent white color is outstanding.
