Used 2017 Lexus NX 200t 4dr SUV (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6A) Consumer Reviews
2017 Lexus NX200 Turbo
Update: Jan 2025. 155K. still going great. It's starting slower. A few creaks but it's the best car I've ever owned. Update Jan 2024: Incredible car. The only thing I have done is change the oil, brake pads and rotors. I updated the battery since I ski and did not want to take a chance. 134K. Absolutely the best car I have ever owned. Update Jan 2023: Same 6 years old, 120k and the only thing I've done is change the oil consistently and service the brake pads last year. This car is amazing. I am going to do some preventive maintenance this year. Update: Jan 2022: Car is five years old. My only maintenance has been brake pads and fluid changes. Incredibly reliable, washed and waxed its still looks great. It does not drive like a BMW 328 but the reliability just kills any German Car. Update: July 2020. Car is 3.5 years old. Absolutely no issues. I’ve only changed the oil and added a new set of tires. Car is excellent Great interior, ride comfort is excellent and the 4 cylinder turbo in sport mode far exceeds my expectations. The sound system is adequate. Only complaint is fuel tank capacity is only13 gallons. Different ride than a BMW sedan but a great SUV. Plenty of room. Awful info system. Very difficult to figure out. No issues at all with maintenance. A very reliable car! Compared to BMW or Mercedes I'll never go back. Reliable, great in the snow and a great riding vehicle.

Very Happy
First of all,I'm not a "car person" so I usually don't give cars a second thought. Having said that,I love this car ! It's comfortable, easy to get in and out and to park.

Edmunds was right - the touchpad sucks!
Overall, this was a well built car. However, the few deficiencies really diminished the driving experience. Let's start with the touchpad - why Lexus is sticking with this over the years is beyond me. The navigtion interface is so bad, Lexus had to offer the call-in assistance service free (initially for a year, then indefinitely). The odometer reset button is hidden behind the steering wheel. Gas mileage is terrible in city driving. What I liked most about the NX is the fact that it is so roomy inside for a compact SUV. It's too bad Lexus continues to use the touchpad technology.

Love it
I have had this car for 6 months now - the 2017. I haven't had it maintenance, yet. So I don't know about the cost. I reviewed many crossovers: Kias, Honda, Acura, Toyota, BMW, Audi, Cherokee. Based on comparison and just the car itself, the NX was just what I was looking for. I delayed purchasing a car for many years because nothing had appealed to me. At the time of purchase, I had my Camry just shy of 13 years. Only one non routine repair. But it was time for an upgrade. I have to admit all the technology in this car is a bit overwhelming. My last car's best feature was the 6 CD changer. I opted out on the AWD because the reality is I will never take this car out to the snow. It is a not that type of car...it's a luxury after all. But a couple weeks after buying the car we drove it up to Muir Woods. What a smooth drive. I can't believe how I whipped up that mountain. The price was a bit of a sticker shock for me...considering what I paid for my Camry but I have no regrets about this car. I love it. My sister has a sporty Mercedes - not too old. And she doesn't have even half the features the NX has. I spoke to a Tesla owner recently who paid over 100K for his car. Aside from the energy efficiency, he can only brag about his large screen. He was bit envious of the features the NX offered. I get compliments on this car all the time. For a little engine, it sure is a great car. My last car was a V6 so I was concerned about giving up my V6 but no regrets. It handles beautifully. Also, my friend loved my car so she went and bought herself the 2016. And she loves it!

Air conditioner
While I love the car, I do have an issue with the back air vents. They don’t do justice. I need to close the front air vents to get them to blow more air for my backseat riders.
