LX-570 Review - I Love This Car!
It has been 3 years and 60,000 miles since I purchased my 2010 Lexus LX 570 brand new from Lexus dealership in Santa Monica, California. The more I drive my LX, the more I am convinced that I made the right choice! When I did my search for a new car, my only requirements were to drive a large luxury SUV. As an owner of 2 companies that drives approximately 20,000 miles a year, my needs were "Luxury" and "Utility". I test drove BMW's X5, Mercedes GL-450, Land Rover, The Audi Q7, Cadillac Escalade, and the Lincoln Navigator. In my opinion, the LX-570 had many advantages over the others. It's ride was the smoothest and quietest. It was COMFORTABLE! (Extremely comfortable in fact) Ergonomically, none of the others came even close. It's navigation with Destination Assist was by far the most advanced and easiest to use. (I use it all the time and love it). Fit and finish and especially reliability are second to none. It's size was also very appealing to me. It's not too big such as the Escalade and Navigator, and yet it's still big enough for a 3rd row seat. It's also very wide and roomy inside which I really like. The European SUVs on the other hand, felt very narrow and tight and many lacked the 3rd row seat. I have had the opportunity to drive my LX in various driving conditions. From day to day L.A. traffic, to a 300+ mile drive in stormy rain and snow thru windy mountain roads and even driving all the way to Montana and back with 5 adults and fully loaded with gear. (5500 miles in 19 days to visit all the major national parks in the western states, including, Yellow Stone, Teton, Glacier, Olympic, Mount Rainier, Mount Saint Helen, Redwood Forest, etc) I have also done several day long trips to various other cities such as Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson and San Francisco to name just a few. (I do several trade shows each year) In all my travels, whether I'm driving thru the desert at 120 degrees Fahrenheit or in inclement weather, I find the LX comfortable, luxurious, quiet, smooth and reassuring.

Best SUV I've EVER Owned
I started with a 4Runner in 1999 and was sold on Toyota quality. Later traded in for a GX470 and loved it even more due to the move to a V8 which the 4Runner then didn't offer. Left Toyota for a GMC Denali, too big and poorly crafted, but looked great on 24"s. Bought wife a MB GL470 and love it, and thought of buying another for myself until I found out the LX570 was available. By far the best thing out there. The Range Rover is close, but the quality and ride outshine the RR all day. The RR gets you Valet credits here in the OC, but the car is for me, not them...and the LX570 does not ever dissapoint. Power 3rd row was a very nice improvement. Air suspension and towing is top notch!!!
The velvet beast
I traded my land cruiser which I love for the lx570. This vehicle has everything the lc had plus more! The ability to adjust the suspensions firmness and the auto height adjustment helps my wife, mom and kids get in/out is what sets this vehicle apart. When driving it immediately feels like a solid highly engineered and reliable machine. I see why a lot of people never sell these vehicle once they own them.
2010 LX 570 - The Best
Look no further. I've owned other generations of the LX and this one is even better. Looking to buy a new 2019. Reliability, comfort and resale are second to none.

Best SUV I’ve Ever Owned
I bought my 2010 LX 570 three years ago with 44,000 miles on it. I now have 118,600. That’s about 24,600 miles a year. It has required a complete brake job as well as a new Alternator and Battery. I expect to have to replace the Starter and I’m told maybe the fuel pump before long. That’s to be expected of a car of this mileage & age, so no complaint there. The car is large, comfortable and great for long highway miles in west Texas and New Mexico. Four wheel drive will go trout fishing with me and then dress up and look nice for in town. I was looking for another one just like it, only later model, but I think I’ll hit just another 20k & then see how I feel.

Ultimate of the Ultimates!
This is simply the ultimate, go anywhere do anything with class luxury SUV available on the planet. Our family owned the 2003 LX 470 and that was great, but this is beyond great. We looked at the best from Land Rover, Mercedes and even the Cadillac and there was no comparison. Value for value, reliability for reliability and capability for capability there is no other SUV that compares. Own one and you will understand!
Third owner and HAPPY
I’ve had an Acura MDX, Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota Landcruiser, smaller Lexus SUV GX and an older Lexus 470. Loved them all but the Acura and Nissan. This has the tightest steering and overall comfort. My entire family loves it. Drives like a tank so I feel we are all as safe as we can possibly be. Purchased 12/16

Palace on Wheels
I looked hard for a comfortable, 7 seat, safe, luxury vehicle for family and work. RangeRover, CayenneTurbo were the competing vehicles if I could work with a five-seater. Benz GL and BMW X5 are not as plush with reliability. However in the seven seater range, there is no other competition for this vehicle. It has excellent power for its size, comfortably able to pass rapidly at highway speeds and good torque at take-off. It has more body roll than my old LexusGX470 with KDSS. However, when you push it on cornering and challenging courses, it is sure-footed. Ride is quiet. The interior is lexus high end sedans plush. Technology and off-road features are impressive
2008 Lexus LX 570
The new Lexus LX 570 seems to have every luxury feature you can want and more. The built-in HDD sound system is very nice. Although, I wish you could access the album list will driving. The new blue tooth and navigation system is much improved from my 2006 GS 430. I could not be happier with the purchase.
The Land Cruiser of a King
This vehicle is the 4th LX we have purchased. Following in the traditions of our LX 450 and two LX 470s, the LX 570 continues Lexus' trend of building quality vehicles that will endure the abuse of winters in Upstate New York, while also continuing to perform at a high level. The ride quality is excellent, with active height control and driver-controlled suspension. The Adaptive Front Lighting System finally makes its appearance on the flagship Lexus SUV, which makes navigating the winding roads of the Adirondacks that much easier in darkness. The styling is reminiscent of the LS 460, carefully lifted and placed upon an LX chassis. You will not be disappointed with this vehicle.
Six CD changer, enough said.
I don’t know about you, but next time you can find a 2011, 89000 miles car with a six (6) CD that still works like new, call me. I don’t care about radar cruise control, lane departure, cross traffic, four cameras, I have eyes and hands. I have an iPhone so don’t care for GPS, but Mark Levinson sounds amazing. The leather seats are very beefy, don’t mistaken these with the soft leather on other Lexus, those will rip in no time. The land cruiser and LX leather are very beefy. Only thing that’s wrong for me is the wood veneer, for this price please use thicker but cheaper wood, who needs a Yamaha piano wood VENEER?? Summer heat inevitably will bake it and warp it. It’s veneer glued onto a plastic base, then clipped into the dash. Increase the weight of the wood and use cheaper quality ones or just use plastic through and through. V8 power and transmission smooth as silk. Simply incredible driving experience. Steering dead centered with a hydraulic weight, but not tiring for the shoulders. The steering and wheel coordination is so consistent and accurate it’s effortless to steer despite the initial impression of a “heavy” steering wheel.

Amazing Vehicle
This car is incredibly quiet yet powerful. The fit and finish is unparallelled.
Awesome
I will never drive another SUV and I have never been more happy with a purchase in my life. Power, comfort, ease of driving. A true machine.
Best vehicle
This is my third Lexus, the first two were LX 470's and after I sold the last one I decided to get a two year old Rang Rover Sport (supercharged) for a change. And what a change, overheating problems, brakes binding requiring new pads and rotors after 30,000Km and a leaking sunroof that caused a wiring short inside the passenger side quarter panel. Looked good and was reasonably comfortable and was incredibly fast with that supercharger, but horribly let down by reliability issues. I then decided that for that kind of money I should get something I know would be reliable like my two previous Lexus's. I wasn't disappointed and have found the LX 570 to be many times nicer than the the 470
Nice, Very NIce
Traded in a Mercedes GL450 for this car. While the Mercedes drove more like a car vs. a large SUV the LX570 is much more of a luxurious ride. There is also much more interior space. My three kids noticed it before I did. We have much less issues with "Stop touching me!". We had a road trip in the car and found it to be very comfortable. Very pleasurable to drive. Lots of extras on the car. The Navigation system was outstanding and easy to use. The sound system is great and the kids loved the built in DVD. Overall a very nice car. We liked it better than the Mercedes, and the Range Rover.
The Rolls Royce of 4x4's!
WOW! WOW! Ive owned a MB S class and several BMW 7's and in any weather this is what I want to be in as it's the safest and has the best build quality of any vehicle Ive ever owned.
168K miles and drives like new
Take care of this vehicle and it will last a long time. Very reliable. Mine still looks and drives like new. I upgraded from LX470 as I needed the 8500lb towing capacity. The extra power and acceleration is nice. It does drive more like a truck than the lx470, but it soaks up the bumps very well, better than the 2010 F150 4X4 I had. No comparison, this is a much smoother ride close to a car. Build quality of materials is second to none.

Best Truck I ever had !!!!!!!!!
I own a 2009 LX570 I bought off lease with 39,000 miles It presently has 73,000 miles & gives me no problems . The only things I've replaced are tires , brakes & the hydraulic line at Lexus for $1,000.00.Every power option still work great . 6 C.D. changer ,7 keyless entry no problem . I've owned a Rodeo ,Forunner , Escalade ,Highlander, X-Terra & Tahoe prior to this LX . This is by far the best roomy ,smoothest ,maintenance free truck I've owned . It does drink gas but no more than my escalade or even the 6cyl X-Terra . I highly recommend this truck if you want a maintenance free truck . Plus a truck you won't see everybody driving !

LX 570 THE Luxury SUV
I traded a 2007 GX in 2009. The LX is the finest automobile I have ever driven!!Have had Navagator and Escilade! The LX 570 beats them hands down!!! After one year of driving I have had NO problems!!! I would purchase a Lexus again!! Furman Walter
Very Pleased
Almost purchased another G55 AMG but am glad I didn't. The Lexus is far better for on road comfort then the Benz, and the off-roading is about the same. Its also far better looking in and out and boast more amenities. Very Glad I made the switch.
Smooth rider
People who buy Lexus want the reliability and quality of a Toyota but the luxury of a German SUV and the maintenance of a Japanese car. That is what I get in this SUV. Great amount of technology, decent ride. Seats could be better and the ride and handling needs to be improved by a long way when compared to the range rover which feels more sturdy. For someone that has owned range rover, bmw x5, merc ML I have to say this does compete with them but it too has its shortfalls like the other SUVs.
Perfection
Very Happy with my purchase. Test drove Range Rover, LR4, and H2, none of with could come close in any category. Center Consul Cool Box is convenient.
Another Fine Lexus You've Got Me In!
This is my 7th Lexus and my second LX (1st was 1998). This vehicle is SO much more than the previous model - and not only in price! I have physical limitations and this vehicle makes entry, exit and driving easy, easy, easy. Yes, the gas mileage is poor, but you just have to know that up front and move on. We also have an '07 GX which I would say is the better vehicle for the price. But I have trouble getting in and out of it. Still a great car. My LX has ALL the options. Some seem absurd (i.e., unnecessary), but we are learning to use them all. I love the no key function (again, an ease of entry issue), AND especially the air cooled seats. Anyone will enjoy this if you can get over price.
Dont buy or lease this SUV for this PRICE !!!!!!!!
I'm SO glad im leasing this LX. I got out lease on MB GL 450 on Nov. 2010. Me and my wife loved it. My wife wanted to lease new GL but I wanted to something diff. We were almost got Range Rover but with 3 children (5, 3yrs, amd 6 months) it was little small. Only 2 reasons to lease this - got pretty good deal b/c I knew the GM at Lexus dealer and never had Lexus SUV. After 3100 miles, I really dont like this SUV for THIS PRICE RANGE !!!!! If this is $50k range then it's acceptable. AGAIN NOT OVER $70k SUV !!! Here is why - 1. doesnt feel solid as GL 2. Horrible connectivity on bluetooth - other person can not hear well 3. ROAD NOISE compared to GL. 4. Doesnt feel like this $75k Luxury SUV
Not what I expected :(
I was SOOOO excited when I heard that the full size Lexus was getting redesigned. Everyone I know who has the LX470 simply LOVES it. I had a baby in August and waited for the new one to come out. I was really disappointed. The interior is not very comfortable. I have had many issues with the electronic system (it seems to have a mind of its own). The built in blue tooth is difficult to set up and once set up, the receiver has a VERY difficult time hearing you. For some crazy reason, I did not test drive any other SUV. This, I feel was a huge mistake. I am not sure how long I will keep this car. It is a shame, because I was very excited to have my own LX570.
Outstanding Vehicle
Most recent vehicle was '04 LX 470. While this was as dependable and quality of a ride you could ever want, it was lacking in several important ways - most of which were totally worked out with the new LX 570. The 3 greatest improvements go to my pet peeves. 1) More power. The 470 was grossly underpowered and that is a thing of the past. New Tundra power plant & transmission work perfectly. Mindful of the seamless power of SL500 Merc. 2) 4 Zone heating & a/c controls. Old system seemed to have a mind of its own. New design again seems to have "nailed" the problem 3) At 6'1", 240 the 470 never was completely comfortable. Again new interior design is right on.
Smarter Than Your Average Ride
Took delivery in Janurary 2008. Available color was starfire, my last LX was also white, but that is where the comparison ends. More power, great highway acceleration and smooth ride. I have only mastered about 50% of the features this ride offers, but it is fun to experiment. Gas mileage is in the 15 MPG range around town, which is better than the old model.
Animal power
I have put 10K miles in driving on my LX 570 in 3 months. This truck reaches its zone at 70+ miles an hour. Passing on two way rural roads at that speed, you have to watch it as it crosses 100 MPH in blink of an eye, feeling solidly stable, quiet and effortless at 120 MPH. I had to install a K40 radar because this truck loves to sneak up in speed. Although peppy, it is not geared for low speed torque but has plenty of headroom at high speed.
Disappointed
Drives ok not near as smooth as the LX 470. Seats are hard seems like you feel every bump in the road. Audio system doesn't sound as good as 470 and it has more speakers. As far as the redesign body it looks like a nice looking Toyota highlander. Why fix something that's not broken!!
A Graceful Hippopotamus
This car was bought for my wife; I drive a Porsche Cayenne. I think it is wise to point out a few differences in the vehicles. 1. This Lexus is really big and bulky. It does everything you want, but there is no escaping the fact that this is a large truck based SUV. The acceleration and handling is not as good as our other vehicle. The interior is quiet, but not as quiet as a nice sedan. I read one review that described it as a graceful hippopotamus and I think that sums it up perfectly. If you are looking for a capable, big, strong SUV, then this is the one for you. If you are looking for performance and agility, then I think the Porsche Cayenne beats it hands down.
