Love it!
I traded up from the previous model IS250 (model year 2009) and I couldn't be happier! While the cars may share an engine and drivetrain, the 2015 model is a significant improvement over the previous model. Lexus has really changed the dynamics of the car with the chassis and steering; the car feels incredbily sharp, if not overwhelmingly powerful. 204 HP may not be tops in this class, but it has always felt sufficient to me for what I require. Forget the AWD and save weight and mpg, you aren't going to drive this car in the snow anyways (the ground clearance alone won't allow it). In RWD the IS250 has enough power to satisfy, and you will always look better next to a C class or 3 series!
Wish I would have kept the BMW
This car doesn't have acceleration nor the power of the BMW 328i. However, it has the feel of a luxury automobile. The styling is great inside and out. I love the fighter jet cockpit feel. The seats are wonderfully comfortable. Of course the heated seats are great but the ventilated seats are divine. With the Lexus you get BMW quality and Lexus reliability.

great job Lexus !!!
previously owned a lexus is AWD 2008, exchanged and bought this one, truly love this car, nice lights with very good illumination at night, cabin feel is very good, seats are very comfy even on long rides, lay over / interior is very good quality, road noise is unnoticeable, accelaration very nice and sound rewarding, back seat space better, electronics very nice, sound system is basic but has everything, nuluxe seats are fantastic, steering feel is great. favourite part is the F sport front grille, simply adore it.

Nice job Lexus!
1st time lexus owner, extremely happy with our purchase. Don't let the 206 hp rating discourage you, the car is quite quick and responsive. Power is very linear with strong pull all the way through the rev range. It feels much faster than it actually is, which is a huge plus in the fun factor. Steering is very precise, and the car stays flat through the corners at high speeds. Ride is firm, yet forgiving over small bumps. You quickly see where your dollar went when you drive it, Lexus has this suspension dialed in. Road noise is minimal. Great visibility. Base level stereo is great. Would recommend this car to anyone who can see the value in a performance oriented car. **Update** Have had the car for 2 years now. Mileage is not good. Averaging around 21 mpg with an even mix of city/highway driving, with "ECO" mode selected. Have really focussed on driving it extremely conservatively to try get the best possible mileage and it just doesn't seem to ever get any better. I chose the smaller V6 rather than the IS350 for better mileage and am very disappointed. Our old Accord V6 which had much more power, averaged around 5 mpg better, I don't get it. Otherwise, car has had no issues.

IS 250 F Sport Better Than Expected!!!
I bought the IS to replace my '09 TL SH-AWD which was getting long in the tooth. And yes I lost over 100 hp but the engine and transmission work so well together that the IS 250 is deceptively quick and very responsive. So far, I don't miss my TL. I chose the Atomic Silver with the Red interior and it is definitely one of the best color combinations Lexus has to offer. Based on how I drove my TL, the IS 250 F Sport has plenty of 'real world' power. The IS 350 is nice but the additional 102 hp not necessary to enjoy the features of this sports sedan. 1/13/17 Update - my IS is still rock solid. I now have 26k miles and is a joy to drive everyday. I replaced the tires at 19k miles with Michelin Pilot Super Sports and it handles much better than when I 1st purchased it.

Love it, wish it had more room
My biggest complaint is the amount of usable space knowing full well that I bought a "sports" car. The console design leaves something to be desired and the usb ports would have been better on the dash or nav area as opposed to where they are in the console. Car rides quite nicely and maneuvers really well. It sometimes hesitates when you try to get some needed speed but knowing that you can work around it. I am currently researching new cars for my next purchase and without bursting anyone's bubble, you can get the same features from other brands without the overhead price you pay for the "lexus" brand. I have to say that I am quite disappointed with the gas mileage that I get with this car. They could put in a turbo 4 cylinder and get the same response while getting better gas consumption.

Amazingly reliable luxury sedan
Literally the perfect uses vehicle.for anyone. I've drove my Lexus to 110k, zero issues and still drives better than most brand new vehicles. My friend has a Lexus is250 AWD as well, 1 year older (06) and has 239k miles on. It is still his daily driver and has zero remorse, or consideration to sell.

if you can afford it
Car looks good, handles like a sports car, the interior is nothing special and no room in back seats . Trunk space is average . Lexus cusomer service is the best and umatched . All that being said no way is it worth the payments. I even worked for the company and it was expensive. Id really do my homework and drive the car . As well get a IS300 OR 350 haggle make it worth it. Its a great car an even better company

I would buy it again!
Bought a 2015 IS 250 F-Sport. The F doesn't offer much for added performance but it does look and feel better than the base model. The best thing about this car? RELIABILITY! No issues whatsoever to speak of. Maintain the basic tires, oil, filters and you're set. Acceleration is surprisingly swift for only having 204 hp. Sport mode revs higher for added acceleration. The handling with AWD is very solid. The F Sport bucket seats are so comfortable and I love the benefits of having heated/cooled seats and heated steering wheel for the cold winter days. Overall, very positive feedback for Safety, Reliability, Value, Interior and Comfort. My biggest gripe is the dated Technology. Unfortunately, Lexus has always been way behind standards on their Tech. The "mouse" on screen operation is sloppy and dated.

Love My Lexus
Great car. Handles well, very comfortable, awesome technology, high quality materials. Maintenance is too high and the warranty should be no less than 100,000 bumper to bumper.

It's Neat, But...
I got this car because it was neat and got pretty good gas mileage, but the front and rear tires are different sizes and every time you need brakes, they have told me the rotors need to be changed... So, this offsets any gas savings from my hummer and makes it much more expensive to drive on a yearly basis, tires every 28-30k miles, and rotors have been change 4 times in the last 3 years...

f-sport RWD looks sportier that it is
I had the car for 1 year and bought it used with only 10K miles on it. The car handles great and the performance is fine for the most part. It certainly leaves you asking for more which makes you wonder why you didn't get the 350. The interiors are the best I've experienced in its category, pretty cool actually. The paint in this car is my biggest set back. The front bumper started pealing with every small pebble that hits it which was super annoying taking into account my other cars were older and didn't peal at all in the same roads. The car overall is good but not great. I was expecting much more for my money. If you want to get the f-sport, don't waste you time on a 250, go straight to the 350 and you'll thank me later. It's just not worth to know you paid for half a car.

Replace Tires every 10k miles!
Purchased this vehicle after owning a 2006 250 IS. I absolutely LOVED the first model and was saddened to surrender it for this vehicle. Not a bad car but the dealership didn't disclose there is a suspension defect that causes the rear tires to have significant premature wear. What was worse was they blamed ME for overinflating. It's 2022 and let's face it, no one takes responsibility anymore for anything! They should feel blessed I ran over a nail that deflated the tire resulting in a service call. I owned this pre-owned car for a year, put 8k miles on it and the tires went from a '7' tread to a '2'. These Michelen Tires are guaranteed for 35k miles and I got 8k! I will never do business with this Lexus dealership again. They care more about making a buck than they do about the safety of a passenger and telling the trut about a vehicle
Best decision ever!!!(just a little more power)
