Used 1995 Land Rover Discovery SUV Consumer Reviews
Great Vehicle
This thing tows trailers on the weekends and commutes me to work on weekdays. Regular maintenance seems to be the trick to keeping it healthy. I wish it had a little more power. It offroads with the best of them and is a great bargain when buying used.
Excellent Off Road Vehicle
I've owned my 1995 Discovery since it was new and have not had any trouble with it. It is a perfect off-road vehicle and, as long as you can stand some body roll, it's on-road manners are good. I was pleasantly surprised with its build quality and the V8 is rock solid

A solid machine but a real P.O.S.
just becouse a Land Rover is a unique machine doesnt mean that it should be so poorly engineered and built a small collision will cost u dearly. The transfer case had to be replaced at 50k along with the cam & lifters. Along with various steering problems. The worst is the front wheel bearings have become loose and even after tightening by the dealer and cause strong vibration & violent shaking of the steering wheel when going above 60 on the freeway, it could very possibly result in a collision I wouldnt want this poor example of British engineering to become a leathal weapon !!!!! They are only good for scrap, and this is comming from a Brit..
Where do I start, Never Again
Stay Away..For those that Have not had problems Yet SELL SELL SELL! Here we go, Brakes ABS system, Radiator, Several Thermostats, Exhaust system, Boots, Head Gasket 2x, Valve Job, Paint (for rust) power windows 2, Brake switch (car stuck in park). So many tows that GEICO droped my Road rescue towing coverage. Brake cylinder. 2 times car broke within a week of leaving dealer.
Our 1995 Land Rover Discovery
We purchased this vehicle when it was 2 years old. Aside from constant minor power steering leaks this SUV has been awesome! Its comfort and dependability have been top notch. Personally, when the time comes, we would gladly purchase another.
