Watch out for the "GRILL"
I bought my brand new 2023 Telluride in January, went to turn on my AC for the first time this May and it did not work. Took it to the service department at the dealer who said "we will take a look, but if a rock pierced the condenser it is not covered" (strange that would be the first thing he says, has this happened before????) to which we replied "we don't drive with the hood open" and "don't work on our car until you call to say what is wrong" (we didn't want to get hit with a huge bill unknowingly). After a few hours the service department called back and said "a rock pierced your condenser and it will cost $2400 to repair and it is not covered under warranty" Turns out the grill has a designed flaw and allows rocks to pierce and break the air conditioning while driving. We called Kia Corporate, still waiting a week to hear back. We called back the Sales Manager who after discussing our concerns stated "I don't design cars, I just sell them, and if you don't like it, take your car and go somewhere else" So we had to pay $265 (Kia's fee) to diagnose that a rock pierced the condenser on a brand new car that never once had the air conditioning used. BTW, this is my 4th Kia that I have purchased, but never again. Do better KIA!!
2023-2024 Telluride Buyers Beware (caveat emptor)
If you are looking for a grocery-getter, school taxi, beach valet, the 2023-2024 Tellurides are wonderful vehicles. However, if you think you might need a trailer hitch for the slightest reason, stop and move on to another vehicle. Despite purchasing their top of the line X-Pro advertised for towing and marketed with a tow hitch displayed, there is no OEM hitch available. I have been back and forth with KIA corporate for months on the availability of an OEM hitch and wire harness. Their latest response basically stated, there is no solution, no ETA for a solution, but you can have your dealer install a third-party product. The response to the warranty question was frustratingly vague and based on my limited experience with KIA I would expect them to deny any warranty related work related remotely to towing or the hitch once installed. Let's not even mention the fact that third party hitches either hang below the bumper (compromising ground clearance) or require cutting of the facia trim since KIA doesn't supply one. The warranty document referenced in their reply basically states they will not warranty a third-party product (normal warranty exclusion), which is what I expected. Given their track-record with electrical fires I'm more concerned about the wire harness, which the warranty does state: *"****What is*** ***not covered****: Damage or corrosion due to such factors as accidents, negligence, improper repairs or adjustments, misuse, alterations or collision."* They key part of this phrase is "*Damage due improper alterations*" A third-party wire harness (even the palisade one) could be construed as an improper alteration. So. This will be my first and last KIA product. ***caveat emptor***

DO NOT BUY ANY KIA
Bought the 2023 Telluride in April. Good for one week. Back gate started opening on its own WHILE driving. Dealer has tried to fix it 4 times but can't figure out the cause. The dealer has tried to work with Kia corporate and so have we. Kia corporate is of NO help. Engineers are unresponsive and so is customer support. Lemon law has been enacted but they won't send us the paper work. Once we sell this car back to Kia we will be looking for a new car, because Kia customer support has been so terrible. Update: Kia is now saying they will not issue Lemon Law...however, the dealer has had the car for more than 30 days, attempted more than 4 times to fix AND it is a safety hazard. A lawyer will now be involved!

2023 Telluride Instrument Cluster
Under 7000 miles on my 2023 and my instrument cluster went blank (blinking blank). Dealer is helpful, but I cant say that I am thrilled to pay over MSRP AND lose my vehicle for an unknown amount of time so my instrument gauges work. Of course this is my rating for now, I will follow up...

UPDATE
Update: my transmission was fixed & Kia was great. They listened to my concerns & also my dealership was great. Telluride is fixed and is as great as my other Kia's have been. It took approx two months to get it back. I recently brought my 6th new Kia. Never had an issue until my 2023 Telluride SX Prestige X-Line. Transmission is out at less than 300 miles!!! Starting lunging when it was trying to shift. Needs a new transmission, was told 2 to 6 months!! I'm paying for it and won't have it for months!! Kia customer service is absolutely NO help whatsoever & rude! That's after you hold for over 2 hours to talk to someone!! Asked if I could defer my payment until it's fixed...NOPE! Kia you've lost a long time customer!

2023 Less than 150 miles and it needs repairs
2023 SX-P XLine. All of the warning lights are going off. I took it to the dealer and was told I needed to wait over two months for an appointment. No one besides an authorized dealer can work on the car. I was told by multiple Kia employees that this is to be expected. I believe this is unacceptable. Buy a different car. It’s a crap shoot on whether you get a good car or a bad one.

Not worth the effort or trouble!
KIA will not stand by their warranty and try their very best to shift off the cost on to the customer. We had numerous items go awry on our new 2023 Telluride and some even covered under recalls. KIA did not stand by their vehicles and their dealership wanted to charge a fee to determine if a warranty should include grills falling off the vehicle, a rear bumper cover coming loose, and electrical issues. Walk away from KIA, no run away from KIA. After 4 calls to KIA customer service and getting no where, I'll be trading in my new KIA on a Toyota, I never had any issues with Toyota on warranty issues.

Tow mode but no towing available
KIA has indeed created a wonderful SUV with the promise of towing power, cooling, and weight up to 5500 lbs. Maybe. Unfortunately they have not (cannot?) design a wiring harness which allows you to legally hook up a trailer. 8 months after selling me a very nice vehicle with Tow Mode, KIA still cannot make the part that allows owners to legally use any trailer. KIA is well aware of the issue. See, for example, — https://tellurideforum.org/threads/the-2023-telluride-towing-saga-adding-some-data-and-pictures-and-its-not-great-news.13276/page-14 Buy one if you don’t care about being able to tow.
Pretty darn good SUV but poor service and support
My previous car was a Lexus GS350 F-Sport so transitioning to the Telluride is an adjustment for sure. Researched for two months thinking about the Highlander, Pilot, and RX350. Found the Telluride beat the competition in terms of price vs what you get. I've had the Telluride about a month now and it's a solid vehicle. Not as solid as the Lexus although it weighs an additional 400 pounds. Quiet and stable handling, more than adequate power. I like that the 3.7 engine is naturally aspirated and conservatively rated, that gives smooth torque curve and should bode well for reliability. I got the EX but am missing the front parking sensors, you have to move up the trim scale and pay more $$$ to get that safety asset. Tech is good but would like to have wireless CarPlay, you have to plug in to make that work. Not too expensive to get an aftermarket device for wireless though. Kia Connect mobile app is woefully slow, nice gimmick, have to subscribe to continue using that. Seating is really supportive and plenty of adjustment. Surprised that I can easily get about 24 mpg around town driving. Still clocking interstate cruising mpg but looks like 28 is in the cards. Second row seats are really accessible for a child seat or for our codger friends alike. Not regretting this purchase. Update: I've had the 2023 Telluride EX since February 2023. Great car all around and no problems. Good thing it's been reliable as getting service is incredibly frustrating. Both my local dealer service phones don't get answered and both have full emails. What a coincidence. After numerous attempts to call and schedule a routine service without success I finally drove to one of the dealers and guess what -- you have to call and make an appointment. Paid dealer retail for an oil filter and will do it myself. Wrote Kia corp asking how I should get service and they responded the dealers are all independent and Kia has no authority over them. Recommended I call the dealer. Great car if you are DIY person.

X-pro can’t tow anything
I just bought the upgraded 2023 Kia Telluride Xpro because of the increased towing ability. This model is designed specifically for towing. First it doesn’t come with a trailer hitch. Apparently I have to pay to get that added. Ok. It’s a small expense, except that they changed the design so there are no trailer hitches that can be added. So this vehicle that is designed for towing doesn’t to anything! In addition the electrical towing harness has been recalled on the Tellurides so there isn’t any electrical hook up either. Second, they advertise a self leveling rear suspension. The vehicle doesn’t self level at all. When I asked about that at the dealer I always told “that’s not what you think”. It’s just a stronger shock and spring. So it doesn’t self level either. They advertise a gas consumption of 24/18 My Xpro only gets 19 on the highway and 17 in the city averaging a little above 18 overall. I have mostly highway driving. Pretty poor gas mileage. Maybe because it is geared for towing which I cannot do because of no trailer hitch.
If it breaks, you're screwed
Kia is stealing my money. In March of this year, our 2023 Kia Telluride (3rd Kia in a row), that we lease through Kia, was involved in an accident. Since March, our Kia has been sitting at the repair shop awaiting parts that Kia cannot provide. 6 months later, no parts, no eta, and the parts can't even be ordered yet. This is unacceptable. This should be criminal. We are leasing a Kia, through Kia, paying Kia, and Kia refuses to provide the parts to fix it. Kia has told me there is no one at Kia that can help me and that my issue is with my dealer. They want me to lease a near totaled car that I can't drive for 3 years because Kia can't provide the parts to fix it. You crooks have blocked me on social media, you delete my posts, and hang up on me. You are a disgrace, no integrity, no morals, no ethics. I am going to quit making my lease payments to Kia for the Kia vehicle they won't provide the parts to fix. Kia can come repo it from Sonny's body shop in Traverse City, MI, bring a flatbed. Thanks for nothing, former loyal Kia customer

No towing capabilities
Even though Kia says it comes with a 5500lbs towing capacity with self leveling suspension and trailer bread controls. What they don't tell you is there isn't a factory trailer hitch or bumper cover available. If you reach out to customer service they will tell you there is no ETA on when it will be available. Even if your like myself that just need a hitch to haul a bike rack.

No trailer hitch/wiring available!
They advertise this car as being able to tow 5500 lbs. but do not have a hitch or a place to wire in trailer lights! Kia has been having issues with fires in trailer wiring of other models and now have no fixes available for hitches/wiring for 2023 tellurides. If you plan to use it to tow stay away! If you don’t believe , do your web search. I bought this car to be able to tow my boat and jet skis but not anymore. Other than the lack of towing capability it appears to be a great car at least after the first couple months of ownership

Oil thirsty telluride
We got this car last year I was very impressed with this vehicle, however after having it for 15 months it’s seems to be consuming oil , I have put 4- quarts of oil in with only 12000 miles, the Kia dealer I take it to insists this is normal which I totally disagree, they had a class action lawsuit that was dismissed, this is very concerning, most owners don’t even check there oil levels. Some of these people are now have law suits because Kia is blaming them for a damaged engine, buyers beware this is a great vehicle and performs very nicely however , Kia knows very well about this problem and has yet to do the right thing to fix it, I personally had 2- sorento (2017-2020) which never needed any additional oil…
The Tech is Glitchy
Purchased new about 10 mos. ago, and about 4 mos. in started having weird tech issues. Mildly annoying that the sensors get dirty and pretty quickly shut down the safety features. More annoying that the suv frequently won't start when I jump in on my way to work because it can't perceive the key, which is in my purse, inside the vehicle, where it always is. That's not a super fast fix either, it refuses to start persistently some days, even after it makes me dig out the key and touch it to the start button, etc. Most annoying, the user profiles get randomly corrupted and have to be deleted and created again with all the settings re-done. So when I least expect it, I jump in and my profile is suddenly not working, seat won't adjust into place, and in fact, won't move at all on that profile any more, forwards or backwards. Or it repeatedly jumps to the wrong profile when I keep trying to set it to mine, or stops connecting to my phone, etc. Or the pedals won't depress. I find myself often having to restart the vehicle several times in a row to get it to stop glitching. Now, this is not a glitch per se, but have also discovered if you barely hold down the unlock button, the vehicle will chirp twice and immediately roll down all of the windows. So I'll be walking away from the parked suv when the button is suddenly pressed inside my purse (I guess?) and I have to go back and put all the windows back up.

Back and fourth no body take care. Brand new car how could window just crack without driving, it was park in our driveway. Save your money and go somewhere else. Please stay away from Kia. There have the worst customer service in the industry’s.

If you want to tow, don't buy; otherwise very good
When you read the professional reviews, they tell you it can tow 5500 pounds when you get the X-Pro or X-Line models. However, no wiring harnesses are available, so you can't even tow 1 pound. Other than that, the vehicle is wonderful. I was driving for about an hour and all of a sudden, the lower lumbar support started inflating by itself, it deflated it. Turns out it will give you a back massage using the lumbar support every hour (or half-hour, or not at all). Here I thought I needed to take it in for service. Even the salesman didn't know anything about it, I had to google and tell him that it does this.

Never again!
I bought a 2023 telluride. Loved it but it was towed two times within the first month of ownership. Traded it. Done!
Great SUV
Purchased a 2023 Telluride, the SX Prestige Package and added the X-Line.Just turning 8K miles and it's running great no problems.I also requested a hitch, but it was taken off the order because KIA wasn't providing the wiring harness due to fires, so no hitch. I start digging and find out that a new hitch and wiring harness is now available from KIA plus fascia for the bumper where the cutout should be, Also there is a replacement power latch, which will not allow the tailgate to open by itself, I tried to get the new latch but was told that it was included with the new wiring and tow package and you cannot buy them separately. I was quoted $798.00 for the complete tow package and abou 4 hours of labor, so installed its close to $2000.00 and the dealer wouldn't budge on price after buying a $53K vehicle. So i contact a dealer and told them I would buy the wiring harness,if they threw in the replacement power latch for a penny. so I'm currently out about $148.00 which is no big deal, mission accomplished. So now all I need is to buy the hitch and my body shop will gladly install everything. While parts are very expensive it takes a little more digging to find a dealer who pricing products about 1 third of the cost. KIA part are marked up from the dealers at a whooping 50 percent.

Flawless
I have a 2023 XP pro. Vehicle currently has 22,000 miles. Had in for two oil changes and absolutely no problems at all. Rides like a dream has plenty of space and is absolutely fantastic in the snow. I really question all these negative reviews, and if these individuals actually own the vehicle, Kia service has been outstanding as well. Great build quality and warranty.
Plastic seats
In many ways this seemed to be a wonderful car. The main drawback was receipts, They are very hard And made out of a synthetic plastic like material. They are advertised as having a leather Is trim. The only leather part of the sheet covering is a strip approximately and 2' long

Exactly what they said
Love the smooth ride, acceleration, and luxurious interior. I have an 2022 BMW- m- x5 however I enjoy driving my Telluride for family trips better. The only area that needs attention is the MPG. Over all - one of the best cars for money providing you pay MSRP or less.

Take the Telluride for a Ride
Smooth and comfortable ride, good gas mileage for large vehicle, surprisingly nimble, third row of seats actually accommodates adult passengers. Electronics are superb and up to date. Don't overlook this vehicle.
Horrible instrument panel you can't see.
Two things keep me from buying this vehicle. Very hard to find one like I wanted and ordering one would take months. Second, and this is what did me in, the entire instrument panel was blank until you started it up. Everything digital. On a sunny day you wouldn't be able to read it very well if at all. I know because we have some Hino trucks at work like that and hate them. I ordered a new Chevy Blazer which has all dial gauges and it will arrive sometime in April. These manufacturers may think these panels look cool but in real life they are horrible. Did the designers take this into consideration. Apparently not.
There is a hitch available....
These crying owners are upset Kia didn't include a hitch on the vehicles. Should it have been included, yes. These owners didn't fully research before they bought it, if you did you were well aware it was not available at the time. However the good news is it is available now as an OEM part and aftermarket depending on what you want to pay. I tow with my 23 it is an awesome vehicle. I sold my Palisade to get the 23 Telluride since they redid the interior with the dual screens. Game changer! My only complaint is the gas mileage it's a little lower than my Palisade with the same configuration but I only have 6k so maybe it is still breaking in. The car drives smooth, has plenty of tech, looks amazing. Nothing else compares in this price segment. Another complaint was the stereo system, adjust the settings, do the update, turn on QLS and it too needs to be broken in and it sounds great.

The reviews were spot on!
Bought this car based on having the highest ratings 3 years in a row, lived up to its expectations, very happy with this purchase.
Midnight Lake Blue
Very comfortable car. Drives very nice. Smooth ride. Love the self dimming headlights.
Meets all the requirements except one
There's really nothing to not love with this vehicle. The one shortfall, in my mind, is that there are no hybrid options available for the vehicle. Beyond that, it's gorgeous, comfortable, and has all the tech you'll never need (and then some).
Mediocre at best
My mother bought a loaded 2023 Telluride. I just visited her for 2 weeks and drove it extensively. Came home with an actual bruise on my midback/spine from the driver's seat. Had several 6+ hour trips driving it. I adjusted the seat the best I could. Just sitting in the car causes injury. I am 6'2, 230. Athlete.

I have the X U Line edition of the 2023 Kia Telluride. I traded in my 3014 Mercedes Benz GL 450. I also previously owned a 3017 Range Rover. The Telluride is a mixture of them both. Giving the sporty feel of the Range Rover and the luxury of the GL 450. The new technology is amazing. I love everything about this SUV.

I found a gem!
Decided to buy used after leasing and owning new vehicles for years. I was a bit nervous about the condition but I was pleasantly surprised. The Telluride was in excellent condition and the price was great! I got a Prestige XPro in excellent condition and low mileage for a great price. My car search took 5 days and the process was smoothe. Edmunds.com is a great resource for buying a used car you will love!
