Used 2016 Kia Rio Consumer Reviews
horrible customer service
Car is so so, but the dealer service and quality is horrible, I took my Kia to 3 different Kia dealer and they have no customer service. My car purchased came with wrong battery installed. after 2 years the battery died, I took into the dealer to have them provide the correct battery the dealers refused.

Great Little Car
My Rio hatchback was the perfect car for me. I bought this car at 40,000 miles and put 60,000 miles in on it in 5 years. I had zero issues. I drove coast to coast, hit 343 curbs, and the death of my Rio only occurred becausel I went too long without changing the oil and shot a piston thru the motor. It was slow to accelerate on the highway, but once I got up there in speed, I would zoom. I loved my Rio and my Rio loved me. This is a great car for the girls.

Oldie but goodie
Bought this vehicle in 2024 when it was 11 years old. It has 180,000 km on the clock. Took it on a 3000 km road trip and it's been a charm. Seats are comfortable after all day at the wheel and the sound system is better than most cars in its price range. The hatchback allows room for my folding ebike plus luggage and camping gear. Only complaint I have is the mileage-- it seems to get about 8 l/100 km, even on eco mode, much worse than my older Prius which got around 5-6. Engine sounds good but there's a slight ticking noise under acceleration. Mechanic says that is normal. Check-engine light comes on from time to time but my mechanics says it's nothing but air leak is the fuel system-- nothing to worry about. Car is a tiny bit noisy with all-season tires but is very quiet and well behaved on the highway. Clicks along at 130 Kmh and feels much more stable than my old Prius. I don't generally bother writing vehicle reviews but this might be helpful for another low-budget buyer.

Zippy
This car amazed me with it's power, and speed. It shifted perfectly, and drove like a beast.
