Used 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 4dr SUV 4WD (2.4L 4cyl 9A) Consumer Reviews
Do not buy or lease
I leased a brand new 2015 jeep trail hawk. More recalls than any other car I've owned. Constant problems transmission number 1. Doesn't shift right, accelerates on own, turns off when foot not on brake , in 4 times . lift hatch fixed 4 times twice with new parts. Just got it back and they replaces lift hatch and said nothing is wrong with transmission. I called Jeep to complain that I've done research and there are currently civil action law suits for the same. My husband received a call from dealer and it needs new transmission. REALLY YIU JUST SAID NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT. I DONT WANT TO DRIVE IT. I WANT THEM TO TAKE BACK. We pay a lot of money for this top of line lemon.

Look before you leap
I have 10,000 miles on mine. I would be very cautious before purchasing. The transmission is more of an issue than they are admitting too. The poor shifting makes this car extremely dangerous. The hesitation in downshifting makes everyday driving very deangerous. If you get the sunroof prepare for it to rattle and creak every day without a solution to fix it. FCA calls both issus operating as normal.

Great car, bad transmission
Not only was my trans replaced in less than 3000 miles, I have been back to the dealer a total of 6 times now and they act like they have no idea that the trans has had problems all over the country. The internet is littered with people complaining about this car and the trans. It lags then jumps, you never know what you are going to get when you press the gas. The service trans notification lights up the dashboard regularly. Recently the key fob was not recognized while I was sitting in the car, so I couldn't start it. The air pressure on my wheels goes haywire. According to the sensors, my tires magically inflate as the car warms up...logical I guess as that air is probably warming up and expanding..(my attempt at humor). So my 4 tires start at (from front left and clockwise) 34, 31 (in red) 33 and 34. 20 minutes later 36, 33 (still red), 33 (not red) and 35. HUH? with a gage they are all 36. It's a real shame because all the gadgets in this car and the overall appearance, really make me want to overlook the fact that I'm not confident pulling out into traffic. Lastly, Chrysler Corporate are super nice, but they will not actually help you get anything done. I have my 7th appointment at the dealer this week. My 8th will probably be next week or the week after. UPDATE: Since having the trans finally fixed 2 years ago, the car still has the same problem, but I have learned to adjust. Sometimes when I go to pull out into traffic the trans acts as though the gear never settled down into first at the stop, leaving me with a lack of power out of the hole. The car is really so great in the other areas though (appearance, towing and interior functionality) that I am dealing with the trans issue.

RUN
I have had my trailhawk for under a year. RECALL, RECALL, RECALL, RECALL, .... The check engine light came on with less than 11,000 miles, took it to dealer, they FIXED it, less than 24 hours later the check engine light was back on. Coasting down a hill the tachometer was bouncing all over the place. sounds like the rear axle or transmission is about to fall off when it down shifts. Problems trying to turn off the Jeep, put car in park, foot on brake, push button to turn car off and car still runs, try it again and again, cars still runs. While talking to corporate office customer service, trying to resolve these issues, they were rude, hung up on me, and would not return phone calls. That was the last Jeep I will ever buy. Even the dealer I bought it from didn't want to take it back as a trade-in.

TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS
I bought this vehicle for my daughter (age16.) We don't let her drive it anymore. It has gone dead in the middle of the highway with myself and her dad in the car. We have only had the car 4 months currently has 5000 miles on it. We are now experiencing problems with the transmission. It is my daily driver at the moment. I have been stranded on the side of the road twice. I carried it to the dealership. That claimed they did an update this past Wednesday. On Friday morning, the car would not go up my driveway.
