Used 1997 Jaguar XJ-Series Consumer Reviews
1997 Jag VP
This is my third Jag. I was pleased with all aspects of this car, enough so that I now also own a 1998 Jag VP. THe '97 has never had one problem and is still a pleasure to drive.
Exhilerating Driving.
My wife and I thought so much of our first '97 Jaguar XJ6 that we bought a second one 3 months later. One Antracite Pear, the other Gray. These cars are a world above anything we have ever driven. From Cadillac to Lincoln etc. I highly recomend this model year, perhaps above all other Jaguar model years. Both cars deliver 26-27 mpg on the road and 16-18 in traffic. Problems? Don't expect too much out of the "memory seat".

Surprisingly good
After hearing all the stories about Jag reliability, I still couldn't keep myself from buying this beautiful car. It has been a joy to own. Reliable, comfortable, and fast -- and every head turns when I drive by. Nothing wows the crowd like a Jag. Much more satisfying than my Mercedes 300E.
Jaguar VPD 1996 good car
Love this Jaguar. Great road car, and family car. Added 20 inch rims, and tires. I could not drive this car without modern rims. Looks too.dated. Had a few bugs to iron out, electronics, starting issues. Perfect family, business car.

New Baby
Newly acquired for my wife. A huge car for the money. Only signs of wear were the tires (2nd set of Pirellis) and some paint scrapes and marks - It is after all 8 years old. We intend to baby it for the longer term and doubt that it will ever go out of style.
