Used 2019 Jaguar XE Consumer Reviews
Still a gorgeous cat
Had it for 6 years now, and certainly not trading it, selling it, or anything else. Let's hope it continues as well as it has so far. It's a 3-liter supercharged (aka 35T) AWD. Wonderful handling, and the supercharger totally avoids the dreaded turbo lag. (Yes, I did once drive the 2L turbo version...ugh.) Certainly it's short, which is a good part of what makes it so attractive: no long dangling trunk (the XF), and this cat definitely sits back on its haunches. Of course that means the trunk is small. Definitely not for a family of four. Two adults are fine in the back for drives of a few hours, but no long road trips. It's basically a 2-person car. In that role it will eat up the miles, super-smooth, but able to manouevre its way out of any problems with the instant power and the handling. The handling is a superb balance, and adjustable. Most of the time, it's rear wheel drive, which is good, but when the road gets wet, or there's ice, the magical XF gearbox comes instantly into play to distribute torque where it's needed. Buy one! (But you can't have mine!) PS Mine is the very rare metallic green. Go to the Car & Driver review for a pic. Get it if you can find one. (JLR discontinued the colour that very year, for the boring old staples of black, silver, etc.)

The v6 is a steal. Far more reliable and fairly ra
The reliability has been as good or better than my Infiniti or cadillac. The power exceeds expectations that would be expected out of just 340 hp. Power is very very linear and always there if you need it, especially in dynamic mode. The ride is far softer than the type, but handling and performance is very similar. Reliable tunes are available up to 450 hp for $2,500. These are great bargains for someone wanting a sporty sedan.

2018 XE
I bought the 2018 XE new. 3.5 trim, 3.0 liter, supercharged, AWD. Drove it five years now. 56K miles. Very nice. Super performance, even in the eco mode. A real beast in the dynamic mode. Still handles well and drives just as smooth at 20 MPH as it does at 120 MPH. Minimum maintenance put into it so far. My only issue is that many of the parts are only used on the Jag so when buying parts, even oil filters, plan on spending a few dollars.
GREAT PROBLEM FREE CAR
This is an aluminum body, 50/50 balanced car that encourages spirited driving, everytime behind the wheel.. The garet turbocharger lag is not perceptible as it is specially designed to come on at only 1700 rpm, and that coupled with the 8 speed ZF transmission, produces great performance without using the paddle shifters ( I use these only in bumper to bumper stop and go traffic to allow engine braking ). I purchased used with 5000 miles on it in 3 years. In the last 2 years, I put on 13,000 more miles on it and it used only 1/2 quart oil in 10k spirited miles! I also own a ML Mercedes, and 2 Suzuki motorcycles. I am 75 years old. This has been the best car I've owned to date. It is the 2.5T Premium version. There is an option to increase the HP another 50 HP, just bolt on electronic, which I might do, but first I'm going to make the exhaust sound a little louder (I can't take the super loud cars, trucks, motorcycles) only because the engine is so quiet sometimes I can't hear it running. It just came off the 5 year warantee this week.
