After falling in love with this car at the auto show back in February I spent all year convincing myself I needed to buy one. With a 191,000 miles on my 10 yr old Park Ave, I figured it's only a matter of time before it died. Taking advantage of year end close out sales I found myself a 2.5 sport package in British Racing Green. What a beautiful car! I bought the car thinking I would still drive the Buick until it's death. I now have almost 6,000 miles on the Jag and spend no time in the Buick.

The lines of this car make my heart palpitate, and the Phoenix red makes it one of the sexiest sedans on the road. Took a demo home for the weekend, went out to dinner that evening, as we waited to be seated everyone in the restaurant was talking about the bright red Jag in the parking lot. Two weeks later I picked up my "arrest me red" kitty. I have yet to have a problem with the X! Now for the bad, Jag service is abysmal. I own two Jags, have had problems with my 2000 XJ8, if you have a problem, expect to get to KNOW your service advisor.

Quality midsize performer.

Although classed as "Midsize" it's quality seating makes the interior seem small. Should the driver require all the available seat adjustment, it gives very little room for the rear passenger. As a drivers car, it has few equals. The All Wheel Drive gives great confidence in all weather conditions. The superb road handling can give the impression the car is on rails! Powered by the zesty 3.0 litre engine it can leave you with the impression that you are behind a turbo charged V8! Take your foot off the power and you are driving a luxury limo. Put your foot down and the smooth powerful engine puts you in the Ferrari class.

If you buy this model in the 2.5 liter engine, you can keep the price at around $33K with ABS/dynamic stability, heated seats, &c. You won't be able to accelerate fast enough to burn rubber from a dead stop, but jeez - grow up a little. If you can afford the car, you probably are old enough to have a family, and the trunk size is very good. The 2.5 gets up to highway speed very easily (5 speed automatic) and it corners really well, with a quiet solid feel under all conditions, especially on bumpy roads. Also, the all-wheel drive gives you the option of the dynamic stability pkg, which is a must.
