I've owned my Infiniti I30 for 12 years and it just turned 331,000 miles! Just oil changes and maintenance. Never any transmission or engine trouble. Still gets 25.3 mpg. Best car I have ever owned, and I've owned Mercedes & Lexus.

Bought used in 2002 with 88k miles and now has 160k. Still looks good with new wheels and spoiler. Bullet proof engine, still does not use oil. Why can't they make them like this any more? Leather still looks new and only regular maintenance on service.

Ten years old and nearly like new.

Ten years now, 100,000 miles, and NO breakdowns and it never left me stranded. Drivetrain still smooth & the rich torque of the V-6 engine very satisfying. Interior still sharp - no wear on leather. Design is uninspired but it holds its entry-level-luxury look with still excellent paint. Mechanically solid. No repairs to engine needed except the starter now "growls" when cold, and the idle regulator recently replaced. Fuel mileage 18-20 mpg around town, and 24-26 on the highway. Downside: Twice the sunroof has jammed and failed. Replaced under warranty first time - second time cost me $1200. Radio display now intermittant. I highly recommend this vehicle! Just watch the sunroof...

I purchased this car from a private owner. His grandparents owned it before him and decided gave it to him. They had two cars and decided to get rid of the infiniti. Needless to say the car was in mint condition inside & out with a 163k miles on it. I feel like I got a new car with a 163k miles on it. So far no problems at all. I have the I30t with the spoiler, Black. Just like the picture on the site. It still turns heads when she's all cleaned up. The transmission's smooth and the Bose system is great. I love it and plan on keeping it for at least another year, I might give it to my son in college he loves it to.

Got this car at 159k. Now, at 205k (and just getting broken in), it has been 'totaled' and I must give it up. I loved it so much that I planned on keeping it till 300k, as it has been incredible! Even the leather has held up and the car can't feel much different than it did new. Only repairs were front axle seals and a minor electrical issue.

The car has not been in the shop once in almost three years. I have put 85,000 on top of the 29,000 that the car had when we bought it, and it still runs like new. I have been in two fender benders and the damage to my car was virtually non existent while the other cars had extensive damage. It feels so solid as you drive it. When we buy again, we will likely look to stick with the Infiniti family.

I bought this car in 3/02 with 95k miles and it is a great car. I have a 5 speed manual and enjoy every drive I take in this vehicle. This is a smooth driving and reliable car. No problems whatsoever with this car and with proper maintence this car still runs as good as new. I have changed out the clutch in mine and the rear suspension because on was leaking but everything else is quiet as ever. Great purchase and well worth the money.

This has been an excellent car. It is reliable, fun to drive and gets 30 miles to the gallon on the highway. I have a rare, manual transmission, which gives the car a sportier appeal. There are also many after market parts to improve the performance. Infiniti has provided the best service of any car I have owned, with loaner cars, car pickup for service and a great, friendly staff.

Ive owned two infiniti i30s. I bought a 97 in 2013 w 134k and drove it until it got totalled at 175k in 2016, changed the starter twice, had an oil leak and it ran and drove like a dream! Super smooth and extremely reliable! Then bought a 96 infiniti i30t w 97k miles I still own it and it currently has 137k and running very strong, changed the starter, rotors, brakes, tires, oil changes. The air/fuel ratio sensor needs replacing ($200 fix), affects gas mileage, and it idles kinda weird but stills drives like a beast! This car has treated me verrrryyyy welllll. Drove it to Vegas and back several times. Despite a couple of minor things, this car will certainly take care of you!

I have had two '96 I-30t's. Got the first one with 45k miles on it. Five speed transmission. I drove that one to 132k miles. At one point, a transaxle pulled out of the transmission with no warning. No other problems other than a knock sensor replacement and the speedo stopped working because of something in the transmission. First car was totaled (but the car kept me safe, accident not my fault). I found another black '96 five speed 500 miles away, flew there to get it. That's how much I like this model. At 160k miles, new clutch and clutch cylinders, CD player kaput, plus the CV boots and transaxles had to be replaced. Giving this car to my daughter soon.

If you want a car that just makes you smile at the mear thought of taking it for a drive...this is it! After 6 years of ownership, the beautiful lines of the car and the smooth response of the engine are a joy to experience. I drive a 1996 5 speed manual I30 (which are no longer available). The amount of torque is incredible...the responsiveness of the throttle and engine are smooth as silk. This alone saves anxious moments when trying to merge onto freeways and scooting out of the way of tractor trailer trucks. Six years...and still counting!

We purchased our 96 I30 with 50,000 miles on it 3 years ago and have had no problems with it. It now has 150,000 miles, and runs like a champ. The interior, exterior, and mechanics have held up nicely. We enjoy the amenities and quality of the Infiniti, and will purchase another one this year to replace this one. Our Infiniti has made us another loyal customer.

Great car and very reliable. I've just passed 208,000 miles and plan on keeping this car for at least another 100k to 150k miles. Maintanence has been limited to consumbables except for the struts that I just replaced at 180k and the radiator at 190k. Brakes have lasted around 50k miles between changes. I've had everything done by an Infiniti dealer, while it may be a little more I feel that they have done a great job. Use of a loaner car for any work over 2 hrs is great. I had a transmission leak that took several days to track down. It was due to a bad seal that should have been replaced during previous service. This was fixed at no charge. The loaner car was mine for 6 days.

I have had my car ('96 I30) for less than a year. When I bought it, it had approximately 83k miles on it, and now just hit over 100k. It was under warranty until 100k, and has had the starter, and an automatic window belt, replaced while I have had it. But the car is an amazing combo of sport and luxury, and to me, drives like it is new. It also looks pretty new, and people always think it has many fewer miles when they drive in it.

This is an excellent car with one only trip to the dealer for a heat sensor replacement ($192)in 40,000 miles. The gas milage is an excellent 26+ mpg and the comfort is exceptional. It is the we drive to go anywhere. The I30 is a great road trip car, you can drive 650 miles and still feel refreshed. The brakes are super and it is very quite. Also the Bose 200 watt systems rocks! I picked this car up used so much of the depreciation was already taken out.

This is the best car I've ever owned. After 108,000 miles, I've only had to do routine maintenance, replace a starter and an oxygen sensor. I'm ready to buy a new I35, but am having trouble letting go!!! I've got several friends who want to purchase my car when I decide to sell. It still looks like a much newer car than most 1996 models on the road.

I have enjoyed this vehicle since I bought it in 1999 with 32,000 miles on it. Roomy and comfortable interior. Quiet ride. Bose stereo still sounds great. I just hit 120,000 miles and everything works as well as when I bought it and the paint and finish is still clean. Regular maintenance and tune-ups at the Intfiniti dealer, which is expensive. One problem that happened two years ago; the stereo stopped working. It just went dead and I had to replace it. Had to do replace it three times. Only paid once because the replacements all failed within the twelve month warranty. That is the only problem; cost was $450.00 for the replacement radio. Answer? Awesome car (knock on wood)!

I've owned 10 cars and recently I purchased a I30, This is my second nissan. the car is so smooth, quiet and powerful. I love the bose stereo which is clear and balanced makes all my cd's come to life. My home 6.1 system doesn't sound as good. My I30 has great features like climate control and power everything which is not availble in my price range. I drove the car once and fell in love with it at the dealership. I have had oil changes and replaced the spark plugs with NGK iridiums. i get great fuel economy. It has 108k and I plan on keeping it well into the 160k range. If you want a inexpensive but lexus/acura TL quality buy a I30, for half the price you get the same car.

I love my car, it's absolutely wonderful! My kids have enough room in back and it's easy to get them in and out. Very reliable! Never had any trouble with it at all! Less trouble than my husbands 2000 Jeep, and it's older! All I've had to do is get regular oil changes and the car runs perfectly. I'll never buy a car that's not an Infiniti ever again!!

This car continues to turn heads, even though it's now a 6-year old model. It has a classy, timeless look that won't fade with the next new "thing" out of Detroit. I bought it used, fell in love with it immediately, and my affection hasn't waned over the past year. The price of a new Hyundai or other econobox was comparable to what I paid for this car--a no brainer, in my opinion.

I bought my I30 used with 75,000 miles and 30,000 later all I have done is change the oil and kept the tank full. Leather interior is top notch and the factory BOSE stereo is fantastic. I have a 1+hour commute and comfort is not an issue. Engine is superb and it's the reason I bought it - and it's supposed to be quite durable. I expect 200,000+ miles should'nt be a problem. Trunk is large enough for all my goalie equipment and then some, and the pass-thru is good for skis and sticks, but I would like fold-down seats just in case.

I bought this car used about 4 years ago and have put on 80K miles without any major repairs. The only real problem I have with this car is that it is a rather boring drive. Sure people who previously drove Honda's and Camry's will think this is a great performance car, but compared with the great handling cars from Europe ... there's no comparison.

I love this car, i learned how to drive in it, and have been driving it for a year now. I absolutely love the interior. It is so comfortable. HOWEVER, I just recently got a new car and have been driving it for the past month on a daily basis and when i got back into the Infin. I started it, worked great, EXCEPT, as I was backing out the driveway and applied the brakes the stereo turned itself off. I attempted to turn it back on and nothing happened. ???? I don't know, probably a side affect from lack of driving, other than that, it's been a great car and a lot of fun.

I bought a used '96 I30t back in 5/2000 with 88k on the clock. I just rolled 165k miles with it, and am pleased to report that I have had absolutely no problems with it, with the exception of no power to the cigarette lighter. The doorhandle "chrome" is delaminating from the plastic on all the door handles- it's an annoyance, but it's not critical. The thing handles great, with absolutely excellent brakes. The only thing lacking in this car is power, which is only 190 HP. It's by no means slow, but I would not call it quick. I like the very stiff ride quality of the car- I like feeling the road, and this car lets me feel it.

It's a strong, solid car and I'm planning on keeping it till it dies. I still like the exterior styling better than the new ones, it still looks sharp. No major maintenance costs as I do mostly on my own. Acceleration is very brisk and power is always available, ride is quiet yet stiff because of the Touring trim...but that's the way I like it. Plenty of upgraded/aftermarket parts for this car as well, especially for new headlamps (got tired of the frosted looking ones), but overall, awesome car!

I bought the I30T new, it now has 180,000+ trouble free miles and continues to be problem free. The only repair was a starter at 170,000 mi, just oil changes, tires & brakes, etc. I personally replaced plugs at 100k mi. When will it quit? based on current performance it should continue to run for another 50,000 -100,000 mi, maybe more. GREAT CAR!

As I just turned the corner on 6 years of ownership, the desire for a "newer" car has been wanting. But I ask myself "why" each time I get behind the wheel of my I30T. The engine is smooth as silk with enough power to satisfy my agressive foot. As I've taken good care of the car I still find it attractive. As this is my first Infiniti, I commend them for creating a car that I'm having trouble parting with even as my desires look elsewhere.

However, the Nissan Sentra was so reliable that I could not fathom moving away from a company that gave me over 250,000 miles in 6 years. Now, in years that I have had this car and placed the 100,000+ miles on it, this car still runs like a dream.
