Issues!

Purchased new in 2014. I have less than 35,000 miles on it. Sunroof frame cracked and had to be replaced. Steering column had clicking noise and had to have a piece replaced. Overhead sunglass holder broke because of cheap plastic. Trunk release broke. Backup camera broke. Whether seal around hatchback had to be resealed and still coming off. Road noise is unbearable when on the highway. Metal on the car is so thin if someone just touches their car door to it, it will dent. Even a small rock will dent it. When putting it into reverse it will hesitate and sometimes you have to put it back into park and then back to reverse before it will engage. This car is only driven back and forth to work and garaged most of the time. It is falling apart! I know I will never own another Hyundai! Dealership and company won't do anything. I know the warranty has expired but these issues shouldn't be happening on any vehicle with this low of miles. Dealership and Hyundai have lost my business forever.

It is a great car but is inexpensively made especially in flooring. I did have to replace the clutch after 24K miles...and I have driven manual shifts for 30 years and never had to do that before.

When I looked at this for my wife I didn't realize that the car would be as good as it was. Power, handling, reliability, it has it all. Have over 40,000 miles and not one problem!

This is gonna be long. My 2015 turbo veloster is awesome! Im married n have two younger boys. Got it with 42 miles on it. Made it to 53k so far and most of that is CA Bay areas horrible roads and many Disney trips. At 50k i had alittle heart attack at a stop light when the car started idling ruff for maybe 10 seconds then shut off on me n the oil light and battery light were on. I pushed the car to the side of the road. Checked oil and everything was fine. No leaks no crazy noises. So i started the car and never happened to me again. And no codes have showed up on my OBD. Got the oil changed and put new tires. During alignment i notices my two front ball joints are shot and all my shocks have leaked out. Which explained why it got so bouncy at about 45k. So the car is amazing and warranty is great. Just your regular wear and tear on ridiculous roads haha. And as long as I'm not in it and using Cruise Control going up these mountains to Disney i get great MPG!

Unreliable Car

I purchased the Veloster Tubo and began to have issues shortly thereafter. The car would sometimes have a delay and eventually cut off on me. I took it to the dealer several times before they finally agreed to try something. The car continued to have issues afterwards. I changed my spark plugs according to the manufacturers guidelines. The car was burning around a quart of oil every 5K miles, and I wouldn't have known that if I hadn't stopped using the dealer and began to change it myself. Around 85K my car began to have more serious issues. I took it to my dealer and they said it was probably the spark plugs. I changed them and the coil packs. This fixed my car temporarily. Now I no longer have a warranty and I am getting the P3001 piston 1 missfiring. The engine is backfiring making it undrivable. This is by far the worst car I've ever owned and the worst car company I've dealt with. They did nothing to resolve the problem so the warranty is worthless just like this vehicle. I, nor my family and friends, will ever by another Hyundai.
