Fine Machine
The 2023 Pallisade Limited Is awesome. Roomy inside, including the 3rd row (relatively speaking...it's not a Suburban after all). Interior style and decor is very nice in the Limited and Calligraphy (the lower models I found cheap looking). The drive features are great, like the camera 360 views, dash controls, etc. A couple things described by published reviews as "cons" I disagree with. For example, I read the acceleration is slow and the blind spot camera view (when changing lanes) are poor. I found them both excellent. The buttons instead of a gear shift is pretty cool too. Overall, extremely happy with my purchase.

Palisade wins!
My wife and I have been shopping for a few months now. After driving different 3 row midsized SUV'S (Kia) included we decided on the Calligraphy AWD. Why: *Refinement at this price point. * Drives better, better command of the roads and freeways. * More roomy, my high school age kids gave it a thumbs up. * Acceleration was better and smother. A win for Hyundai! Update: Best value for my money! The level of refinement, technology, comfort will be hard to beat! If you haven't driven a Palisade, don't knock it until you try it!

Dangerous safety issue!
I purchased the 2023 Hyundai Pallisade Calligraphy in August 2022. In October 2022, I pulled onto a highway where the posted speed limit is 70 mph. I had plenty of time. Oncoming traffic was at least 1/4 mile away. When I pressed on the gas, the speedometer would not go over 20 mph. The RPM quickly shot up to 4000 RPM. The car was not responding, and there were no warning lights on the instrument panel. The transmission was in Drive in the Smart mode. Oncoming traffic was bearing down on me quickly. The only thing I could do was coast onto shoulder and turn on my hazard lights. For the remainder of Fall until warm temps in the following Spring of 2023, this dangerous issue occurred 100% of the time without fail. I had to drive out of my way to avoid sloped intersections. The pattern is very clear: First drive of the day and when car has not been driven for 2 or more hours. Cold temps below freezing (car is garaged and the garage is heated) Car is warmed up. Car comes to a complete stop for at least 10 seconds before proceeding. A rolling stop, if possible, would not be a problem. Stop is on a slope of at least 10°. When pulling ahead, there is power, the speedometer won't go over 20 mph, RPM shoots over 3000, the car is coasting, no response when pressing the gas repeatedly. The problem lasts about 20-30 seconds. Then the car responds. Service techs are unable to get it to fail. That's because they don't have stops with the adequate slope. They came out to my house twice where I was able recreate the problem as expected but their diagnostic equipment couldn't pick that up. Bottom line, if the Hyundai diagnostic equipment doesn’t show any problem, then the car is just fine. Even though the techs witnessed the issue, Hyundai will not cover anything because their equipment doesn’t show a problem. If anyone else is experiencing this or has experienced this, please tell me if you were able to get it resolved or not.
2023 Hyundai Palisade Limited Steering Problem
We purchased a 2023 Hyundai Palisade Limited Edition in July 2022. As of this writing (11/04/2022) we have only put 1000 miles on it due to its drift to the right whenever it's driven. The dealer is currently on their third attempt at fixing the issue, however, when last turned, they indicated that they had to contact corporate for further guidance. We have now been without the car for 4 days and have not heard anything from the dealer.

Terrible wind noise.
I bought this vehicle one month ago. I was so happy to finally get such a luxury suv with so many features. I’m terribly disappointed in the amount of wind noise after going 40 mph and above. It’s almost unbearable at times. I can’t believe I bought a 50 thousand dollar vehicle and am Now stuck with it. Super disappointed
Erratic steering
Steering vibrates and constantly pulls to the left. Wind noise also is so bad and gets worse and worse. Regretful buy
Old school. Don't waste your money
I was pleased with the Palisade Calligraphy when we bought it last September (2022). It was comfortable inside, had some great features and we got it at sticker price. Then we started driving it. I noticed that sometimes the transmission was hesitant to move the car, but I thought this was because it was needing broken in. Not so. Every time the car was in Comfort mode of Smart mode, it was like I put my foot on the gas and the car had to think about what was happening. It started off slowly unlike any other car I've ever had, and I had to push the gas pedal harder to make it move. Then it took off! Imagine a giant rubber band holding the car back as it tried to move forward, then the ban bursts and your foot is on the gas pedal then it shoots off. That's what driving this car was like. I looked at some YouTube videos, and two testers found the same thing! It wasn't my imagination. Me putting the foot down all the time just to get it going had me averaging 11 mpg. One day, I was sitting at the traffic lights with the brake hold function on. When I hit the gas pedal to move forward, the car put itself into reverse and luckily, before I pushed the pedal too far, I saw the surround camera come in and hit the brake. Then I put it in drive. This could have been a lot worse. This car has a massaging driver's seat. For a while, it stopped working and when I was about to book it in to the shop, it started working again. Then it would come on all by itself randomly. I hate lumbar support on a car, and this was what it would default to when it came on by itself. One thing I disliked was having to go through the stages of putting the windshield wipers into park mode. Instead of being able to lift them like any other car, the hood is too close to them, so you have to press the start button a couple of times and hold the wiper stalk up into the quick wipe mode and hold it there until the wipers move up and stop. Only then can you pull them back. I have never seen such a ridiculous design in my life. But of course, the salesman didn't tell us this before we bought it. So a recall came out for the wipers, saying something like ice and snow would build up behind them and they would stop working. The reason I actually got rid of the car was because I then read that Hyundai plans to recall the car start end of September 2022 for some little electronic plug thing possibly melting and setting fire to the car. They recommend you not park in your garage or near any structure, just in case. (You can Google this). It could also put the car into limp home mode, and anybody who has experienced this before will tell you it can be scary, depending on where you are. If this happens to you, pray you're not in the fast lane on a highway. I believe it affects some brand new Kia's too. As one YouTube tester said, it's like Hyundai put all of the budget for their 2023 Palisade into the interior. But why didn't they put power folding mirrors on? I have it on my other car and it's a nice touch. And they have it on the Korean versions, so why not for the US? This car needs a new engine / transmission and a little bit more quality control and it might be a nice car. If you really want one, try the wiper thing before you buy and see if that little annoyance you can live with. I had to watch a YouTube video on how to get the wipers up. That might not be a deal breaker for you, but for me, the thought of my wife driving the car and it going on fire was enough for me to get rid of it. It's a Toyota for us next.

Unreliable! Don't waste your money!
I bought a 2022 Palisade. It currently has about 31k miles. I had a leak in the seam of my radiator. I was left on the side of the road. The dealership fixed it and a week later, same issue. I also had a small issue with the vent in the back seat. This was my 1st Hyundai and will definitely be my last. If you are on the fence to purchase a Palisade - move on. I've owned mine for 16 months and I would not say this is a reliable car. It has nice bells and whistles but quality is lacking.

Packing a lot in and still riding in style
The calligraphy trim is worth the extra bump in price. The extra features makes the ride a top notch experience. The 7 seater was the better choice over the 8 seater. Having the captain chairs versus the second row bench gave the three children (ages 8-11) flexibility and space. All three play hockey and the third row option to lower one of the seats and still fit a person in the back row gave us the opportunity to get all three hockey bags, three children, and two adults comfortably in the car while still riding in style.

6 months now and still no trailer wiring harness
The car over all is great. I owned a 2021. Traded for a 2023. I had a trailer package. Dash clearly has a trailer mode switch. I have had to hire or rent another vehicle to pull my work cart to jobs. And added expense I should not be paying. Dealer keeps kicking the can down the road for a fix to the recall. Buy back my car or get the fix now. I will be looking into what legal options I have soon. As well has a report to State of Florida.

Should not have these issues on $54,000 car
I loved the car when we first got it and I still do for the nice seasons. However you live where there is cold weather this is not a good fit and customer service is useless. The front side mirror defroster run off the rear defroster and take awhile to work. The front windshield defroster is in the middle of the dash and takes forever. As the wipers are tucked under the hood the are hard to access. If you have any little bit of snow on your windshield, your wipers do not have enough power to work and the defroster is placed wrong to help melt the snow. Nothing like driving down the road and wipers don’t work because of snow to heavy for wiper arms. Also on your interior vent system even when you turn heat or air off, it does fully close. So it continues to blow air at what ever temp you previously had set. Going to trade this in and probably take big loss.

Hyundai false advertise towing capacity
After 10 months of the 2023 Limited Edition Hyundai Palisade here are my comments: First the good: The car drives well, and is very comfortable. Lots of the features are truly helpful. The average gas mileage is about 20.5. However, Hyundai has been totally irresponsive to numerous people that believe they have been lied to and cheated, namely their tow hitch. To the point that for that alone, if I could, I would have returned the car. Now, about a year later there are rumors about a date for the parts to become available in October. Using aftermarket is dangerous to the health of your warrantee. several items are annoying and several are simply lousy design: 1) Unless you like the button shift – do not get it. I thought it will be easy to get used to – it is not. - even after 10 month of daily driving. This was my mistake, but you can learn from it. 2) If you need a tow hitch – go elsewhere. It is not available for the 2023 model, and Hyundai gives out zero info on when they will have it. Even if they told you it is available – it is a lie. Most specifically, there is simply no wiring harness to be had. Considering the fact that the car is sold with alleged towing capacity, I consider it false advertising. There was a group organizing to file a class action suite against Hyundai for selling a vehicle that cannot tow despite being falsely advertised as such, due to lack of proper equipment. Unfortunately Hyundai got away with this indecent behavior, and still does. 3) The door lock is awful. This is a “touch” lock/unlock. It took me a long time to figure out that unlike the simple "flip-flop" operation of any other touch lock, the open is only if you touch the inside of the door and the close is if you touch only the outside. Did I mentioned lousy design choices? Additionally, there is about a second or two delay from touch to lock/unlock, and very often more than three touches are required to do that. I oftentimes spend 5-15 seconds trying to lock the door). Use the fob, like they did 10 years ago. How I WISH they had put a simple button… 4) The speedometer is on the left and RPM on the right – opposite any other vehicle I have ever seen, and surprisingly highly uncomfortable if you drive more than one vehicle. While the dash is fully electronic, and you can set themes for it, you cannot reverse it. Still annoying ten months later. 5) The garage door opener is not working unless the engine is running. This is as dumb as it gets. I never seen that misfeature on ANY other car. DUMB - DUMB- DUMB and super DUMB design. 6) When you engage cruise control the car automatically places you is lane assist mode. Not a big deal but would have been good to have it user selectable. Further, the response curve is completely screwy. it breaks too hard and does not accelerate back reasonably. I wish they would take my wife's 2018 Sorrento adaptive cruise control and copy it - several orders of magnitude better. 7) If there is snow – the radar gets blocked in minutes, and it thinks there is a car just ahead of you causing repeated beeps with every stop. After one winter - still very annoying. 8) The warning system for oncoming traffic while getting out of a parking (reverse) is set to very short range. Makes it of very little use. I hope that some of the smaller items will one day be repaired by software update, however considering Hyundai’s truly lousy and substandard response to the tow hook issue I am not too hopeful. Especially when they did nothing during the passing 10 months. My conclusion is that Hyundai is NOT A RESPONSIVE COMPANY.

I got mine!!
This is the best vehicle that I have ever owned! My 2023 Palisade is comfortable, drives great, and the technology is amazing!! The vehicles are very hard to get right now, and I l was lucky enough to get mine because the person who reserved it had reserved at several dealerships, and one came in earlier for them. I never would have thought I would be so excited about owning a Hyundai.

Junk!
Loaded with features at a price well below the competition. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Electronic glitches galore. The safety systems are more likely to cause you to get in an accident braking randomly and accelerating at a stop light on its own. In the first 20k miles, the rear differential had to be replaced to to metal chunks in it, the AWD system had to be replaced due to it engaging and disengaging around corners, and the rear suspension had to be replaced to the the shocks siezing up.

Good and Bad
The 2023 Palisade Ultimate Caligraphy is very good with some features, but also very bad with some features. Good: Roomy, luxurious, heated seats in front and middle rows, adapatble cruise control, great camera views 360 - Bad: You cannot lock the vehicle if you manually start it. In -40 to -50 degrees, 10 minutes intervals don't cut it. You start it too often, you get a message that you reach your maximum # of starts for the day. The designers of this product have absolutely no clue about cold Canadian winters. I have complained about this when I bought my first Palisade in 2019 and these technical morons cannot figure it out or refuse to make this minor change. Blows my mind

Jittery ride
We are in the market for a new SUV. We have driven the Palisade three times because we couldn't believe that such a nice car had such a jittery drive. Drive over uneven pavement and the car is jolted. You might be exhausted after a long trip. We are terribly disappointed.

Great vehicle for the money
I’ve scene some bad reviews here, but after about 10 months, I love my 23 Palisade Calligraphy even more than when I bought it. Great highway ride, plenty of features for the money. The wind noise problems of the first year was worked out. Mine is very quiet. Those complaining about the ride, need to check the air pressure. Mine had 40 lbs when it should have been 35. It’s not a hot ride, but for a 3 row family vehicle, power is great and you can take those exit ramps with some speed. The only visit to the dealer was a fairly quick free oil change and tire rotation. Drive one for your self and you will see it’s one of the best values in 3 row SUVs. Plus, there are plenty of reviews out there for 3 row SUVs, look at them all. Don’t be fooled by those that rate the best handling over the models that have room on the 3 row and are reliable. Decide why you want a 3 row vehicle. I believe the Palisade and the Telluride should be at the top of your list.

I had to change my mind.
We were getting very close to signing the paperwork for a new 2023 Palisade. The salesman said it would tow 5,000lbs. That was the minimum I was willing to go with for a towing capacity. So glad I went home and started to read everything I could about this vehicle. The 5,000lbs Towing Capacity is NOT TOTALLY TRUE. (((. I got this information off the Hyundai Palisade Website. ))). If the trailer that is being towed doesn’t have trailer breaks towing capacity is only 1650lbs. Well, that killed the deal. I tow two boat trailers & one utility trailer all without trailer breaks. My maximum tow weight is probably 3,500 lbs We bought a 23 Chevrolet Traverse and am completely comfortable with our decision. It does everything we ask it to. I can tow my Pontoon & Fishing Boats with ease. The Fishing Boats seems like it’s not even there. So far zero problems 9 months in. And the Hwy mpg is better than expected. 28 mpg without any problem and as good as 31.4 mpg with calculations made at the pump. Obviously driving conditions dictate the mpg variable. I never ever believe the dashboard computer on any of my 3 vehicles. Too bad the Salesman didn’t know his product. But oh so happy I checked out what he was selling us. I would not been one bit happy find out he didn’t know what he was talking about . Too bad the Palisade doesn’t tow 5,000 lbs because we really liked the interior of the Palisade over anything we looked at. The exterior is nothing to get excited about.

ABS issue
Not so good suspension. When it goes through a slightly rough street, it jumps and doesn't dampen properly. UPDATE: Stay away from this vehicle. This vehicle has serious problems with the brakes. When you go over bumps at a speed between 5 mph and 17 mph and try to brake, the vehicle does not stop and the ABS system activates. It is a serious security problem.

Great package for that price
Ultimate calligraphy, I love you :) When the car is full with 7 passengers, the handling is safe and stable. What a design and look, Ive had heads turn to look at it. The feeling of driving in a futuristic car Interior is just amazing. The power is there, nothing exaggerated when pressing the gas hard, so no vehicle shaking or drifting right/left I cannot say more- you need to try the self driving mode- so comfortable for long drive. The sound system OMG And of course all the high technology packed inside this car in terms of safety features, Bluelink Smartphone App(remote start, control a bunch of things in the car remotely) Don’t forget to check the amazing warranty period. The gas consumption depends on how you drive. Don’t forget it is a 7 seater, not a Yaris Toyota. Overall no complaints, impressive vehicle and haters gonna hate

Looks nice, all surface, not built to last
I’ve had this car for about 18 months now, SEL version with premium package. Was attracted to the look, space, and infotainment system. First Hyundai I’ve owned and I buy a new car every 4-5 years now for the last 25 years, and I will say it will be my last. Poor design and cheaply made despite this model being almost $50k. Biggest issues (among many) were 1) I spilled coffee in the cup holder (not really that much even), it ended up leaking through and apparently there are cable connections underneath it and it shorted a connection which disabled the USB for CarPlay. Well, everything goes through the radio so I had to replace the entire radio - almost a $2k repair. Hyundai NA said not their problem despite my complaint. 2) the interior panels are cheaply made, one was cracked substantially just by my son kicking his shoe off and it hit the panel under the seat belt. Looks like someone hit it with a hammer multiple times and I saw it, was not forceful. Exterior panels also damage easily and will crack without much force. For a car this young, these are way too many issues and I will never buy a Hyundai again. Will stick with Mazda, Honda or Toyota as all of those I’ve had great luck with.

No More Hyundai Vehicles
Absolutely disappointed with Hyundai. We were loyal Hyundai owners until now. We have owned four and this will be our last. Just over 23K miles and the left rear shock goes bad. Just Google the shock issues on this vehicle and it's clear there's a defect. The new shock was redesigned and that's what they're going to use to replace the failing one. However, now we're going to have a different shock on each side and it's likely just a matter of time before the other side fails. Shocks should be replaced in pairs especially when it's a known issue. Hyundai used to care about their customers but clearly that has changed!

Bust Down
I purchased a 2023 Palasaide with all the bells and whistles. Just never thought that I would regret it just a couple of months later. The braking system is terrible! At times I can actually feel the ground when breaking on an uneven surface. The audio system has terrible bass and isn’t loud at all. My kids who likes the 3rd row keeps asking me to turn the music up and I keep saying it is up. The paint job is terrible as well. Like painting my nails with only 1 coat. Just chipping and scratching away. The am kicking myself for leaving Nissan for this!

I paid what for a Hyundai?!
Purchased the Calligraphy AWD. I’m used to luxury SUVs as I drove BMW X5 for years but because of growing family, I now need a spacious 3rd row for a family car. This is very limited on options. I looked at Lexus GX and LX, Cadillac XT6 and Escalade and my spouse really liked the Palisade Calligraphy, even though Hyundai had the worst interest rates and no incentives for top tier buyers on this model. Between the over MSRP dealer charges and 8% interest rate for top tier credit of 750 -800, my Hyundai purchase is a mortgage payment for some people... of over $1k a month. Will cost me $73k over term of 6 yrs! I would lease but it was $850 for 10K miles per yr + $20 for tire plan per mo. At this price difference, we decided to buy. Here in South Fl dealers go over MSRP on this model. I negotiated as close to MSRP as possible. I put 5k down and still paid about $2k over MSRP in the end. Not happy. Worst economy I’ve seen in my lifetime and worst deal I’ve got! Buy the lux brand if you don’t need the very spacious third row badly, and won’t use all the tech/added features the Calligraphy has.
