Nice concept but still a Hyundai
I bought a 2015 Genesis 3.8 after thinking for a long time. I never had a Hyundai before and honestly did not trust it as a reliable car. Initially the car performed well in all aspects but at 1k miles the driver seat started to vibrate and few more miles the steering wheel also started to vibrate. - First Service The vibration just got worst and at the first service and some internet research I was asked to replace the tires due a Hyundai recall, which I did. Well, that did not fix the vibration issue but just made worst. I also opened a complain with Hyundai about the vibration. - Second visit I went back to the dealer and explained in details what was happening. They inspect and said that had to perform a tire balance as they were off. - Third visit Vibration was still as before, specially around 50-60 miles. So, took it back to the dealer and again inspection more adjusts and nothing. - Fourth visit At this point I was upset and did not want the car anymore. Went back to the dealer and asked them to trade in for another car or helped me fixed, even talked to the owner. He asked the service manager to ride my car which he did and even with the vibration he said it was normal. I told him that the loaner Genesis they gave did not have it and he should drive the loaner to compare it. He said the owner would take care of my issue. After almost 3 hrs seated at the dealer waiting for someone to talk to me I went to search for the owner again and ask what would happen. At that point the owner was busy and nobody could help me. So, I decided Hyundai never more and left to trade it for another trusted and reliable brand.

2015 Genesis
I read the recent review posted by the "professional critic" and I must say that I completely disagree, and consider he is delusional when it comes to back seat leg room. I compared the new 2015 Genesis against each of the following cars; the Audi A6, The Mercedes E350, the BMW 535i and the Lexus. After test driving the 2015 Genesis, hands down the new 2015 Genesis AWD 3.8 fully loaded, out performs, out classes in all areas all of these cars. I have personally been driving for the last 40 years Mercedes, BMW, Range Rover, and Lexus, and this new 2015 model is a game changer...period!
Classy Ride
I was looking to buy an E-class certified, but wanted to test drive Genesis before i could make the decision. The drive is very smooth, the quality of the ride, interior and exterior is great. Everyone who sat and drove my car loved it. Love the features i got with the Signature and technology package. I've tried regular, premium and enthanol-free gas. The mpg definitely differs, ethanol-free gave the highest so far, but is equally expensive. Since I've driven only for a month now, I cant really tell about the maintenance. But the dealer gave a 2 year oil maintenance free, have to see how that goes. Definitely reccommend if anyone is planning to buy.

Great car, but same lock problem
Just like many, I absolutely love the car and was thinking about getting a 5-series before I decided on it. Feel like I got as good or better (my wife has a BMW) car for $15-$20K less. I am having exactly the same lock problem as the person I just read. Better not be $500.

great car
Great car, I’ve throughly enjoyed for the past 5 years. Still drives like new, no mechanical issues or electronic gremlins to report. A great car, I replaced it with the new G90. The G90, is not as sporty as the G80, but still offered the 5.0 V8

Transmission breaks at 95k mikes
I am the second owner of a Hyundai Genesis 5.0 sedan that I purchased in 2020 with 83k miles. I have had experience with luxury German brands such as Mercedes, BMW and Audi and decided this time to give Genesis a consideration based on the generally positive reviews I have read about the brand. I have only driven this car for 12k miles and have been fairly satisfied with the car until during a routine maintenance I was offered by my local Hyundai dealer to replace the transmission fluid as part of the 95k scheduled maintenance. I drove out of the dealership and 100 miles after the service the transmission went. I had the car towed back to the dealership where I was told that them changing the fluid has nothing to do with my transmission failure and that because I was the second owner of the car it was no longer covered by the warranty. I immediately contacted Hyundai USA to complain and ask if I could receive some help since to me it is obvious that the dealer is the one that screwed up my transmission and that it should be replaced at no cost to me. I was told by Hyundai that they are sorry but there is nothing they can do for me. That I should ask my dealer how much money they would give me for my car with the broken transmission and purchased a new vehicle for them and that way I would have a brand new car with a 100k miles power train warranty!! There was no compassion in the tone, no apology, no offer to help in any shape or form, no acceptance of any type of wrong doing: ZERO!! A company that cannot stand by their car and offers zero level of service should not be trusted. A luxury car pretending to compete against German brands and sees no problem with a transmission breaking at 95k after having performed service in the car should not be trusted. Stay away from this car and Hyundai.

Great 1st year, not so much now
Stay away from this car. I drove a new 2018 Genesis G80 and it too has rattles right out of the gate, unbelievable. The ride is harsh, the seats are too hard, road noise is a little less than my 2015 3.8 V6 AWD, but not much. I was not impressed. Luxury sedan it is not.

One of the best entry luxury car I've ever owned
Its not as luxurious as Audi, BMW, Mercedes or Lexus, but man does it compete...and considering the price...it wins. I owned a 2012 and thought that was a great car, but the 2015 model steps up again to take a swipe at the big boys. I love that the maintenance on these is a pittance compared to the luxury brands. I love that I just out sped a Tesla. I love that it has a sharp look, a quiet ride, a stereo that sounds like sitting in the middle of a symphony, and all for less than its competition. Go test drive one and enjoy.

Don't need a lux name? This is the lux car for you
After more than four years and 90,000 miles behind the wheel, this car still impresses. The performance, while not being a true performance car, is plenty sporty. Enthusiasts should understand that this car is much bigger and heavier than it appears, and factor this into their buying decision. However, Genesis uses this to add comfort and quiet to the mix. In fact, I bought this because how quiet it was while pushing 90 on my test drive. Gadget fans will drool... even the base "signature" package has significant features that would cost many thousands on luxury German or Japanese cars. I got the "Ultimate" package, which is Hyundai-speak for "throw every piece of tech they could think of." As a comparison, the equivalently-optioned BMW 5-series was $19,000 more than this car. After four years of ownership, I've still had no major repair issues. Genesis has kept the same body style through their 2020 lineup, so the car doesn't look "obsolete." Bottom line, I've been very happy, and no Genny owner I've had a conversation with has ever had an unkind word to say (which says a lot).

Genesis - a new beginning?
I am quite pleased with my new Hyundai Genesis sedan. It looks good, drives well, has all the bells and whistles you could ask for. The car is great! What was very disappointing - and will likely continue to be so - is the dealer experience. While the car may be world class, the dealers that i visited do not seem to understand that customers purchasing $45K plus car rent going to be satisfied by a a less than robust level of dealer support and experience. If Hyundai wants to compete with MB and BMW and the like, they need to step up there game in a big way. Great car - just hope I never have to go back to the dealer again. UPDATE: I have had the car for 8 months now - still enjoy it as much as I did when it was new. UDATE#2: just past year 2 driving this car - no issues, no problems, no dissapointments

Amazing
Car is absolutely amazing and a great value. Test drive a Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, and Acura and this is a sure winner. It has way more trunk space, way more interior space and the features are more than the same level luxury brand, for 20,000 less.
The Best Car an ex-Mercedes buyer ever owned
After yet another 700 dollar service bill, I walked into the Hyundai dealership just as a curiosity. I was sure the Genesis would be another pretender, and suffer the fate of VW’s Phaeton. Instead I walked out with a car that was superior to my other luxury cars at tens of thousands less. My service costs have been 0. Goodbye Mercedes, BMW & Jaguars. I did purchase the top of the line option package, but at a price that was stunning. My Genesis is a 2018, and has even survived my daughter’s drinking. An admitted car junkie who has purchased over a dozen luxury cars, I’m stunned

5 star crash test rating totally deserved
I've had this car for 8 months now and find it a bit squirrely on wet or snowy roads. This is a performance car with performance tires- don't expect it to handle like an SUV. This car is fast and not for a novice driver, but for a true aficionado who appreciates power and a lotus-tuned suspension. I was in an accident where another driver turned in front of me. All airbags deployed and I walked away unscathed, I never moved in the drivers seat, held securely. I never even hit the front airbag. Impressive safety features. The car was totalled, but windshield never cracked and the driver's compartment never compromised.

Electrical System Nightmares
The electrical relay in the box has a design defect, so the car routinely goes dead. I've been stranded numerous times and had the car towed twice. Also, the turn signals burn out constantly, because they're used for the driving lights. There have been NUMEROUS assorted strange issues with the car, like the seat warmer going out. I would never buy another model year vehicle.

Like a mid-60s Korean Buick: a powerful tourer
I bought this car as a big, comfortable, quiet, powerful (V-8), fully featured touring vehicle. I refer to it as a full sized Korean Buick, as it reminds me of the older fancy mid-60s Buick 225 models which were the quintessential big powerful comfortable American cars of that time. It has all the bells and whistles and safety features that Hyundai offers (with the exception of all-wheel drive) and I am quite pleased with all these features. It's a nice car to take on vacation as the trunk is quite large, the back seat roomy and it drives very quietly and competently down the road. It's a pleasure to drive and nice to look at (mine is Parisian Blue with the white leather interior). It is one of 4 vehicles I own. The fuel economy for this 4600 lb car in mixed driving is exactly 21.2mpg, but it can burn any grade of gasoline without complaining (engine has a knock sensor). On trips it gets about 23.7mpg. My only concern with this V-8 Genesis is its resale value, which still remains to be seen. Overall I am quite pleased with it. My local Hyundai dealership, on the other hand, is only average at best and the Genesis experience there leaves something to be desired.

Awesome experience
I've owned my 2015 Genesis for 15 months and have enjoyed everyday of ownership. I compared this model to the Infinit Q70 (previous car was a 2007 Infiniti M35). Every aspect of this car is great. I went on a 2k trip (twice) and never was tired. While cruising effortless in west TX at over 80 mph, fuel economy averaged between 25 - 30 mpg. Handling is great and virtually no road noise (not even from the tires). Great value for the money and a great deal. The adaptive cruise control and lane guidance is terrific and works great. I continue to be amazed at the level of luxury and abundance of important features for the price paid. Why do the German and Japanese brands charge so much extra for these important safety features? They certainly don't justify the significant premium. I especially like the head's up display and the assortment of indicators that are presented. Great features for a great price. Has more technology than the German options and a better value than Lexus or Infiniti.

Keep it a Secret !!!
Well balanced performance, excellent fit and finish and $10 to 15 000 cheaper than similar size sedans. This car is perfect for those customers that aren't under the spell of premium brands. 8-14-2018: Reliable, quiet, responsive, elegant. Better than expected.

Excellent value
Great values on year end model. AWD and V8's very poor mileage. Blue Link very pricey for what you get...don't renew it!!! We've had the car less than 2 weeks...with less than 400 miles. Great ride. Tons of bells and whistles. Low mileage, in city, slow driver so I'm sure there is a lot of things this car can do which I will never put to the test. Very pleased with the product

My Genesis Experience
When compared to its competion the Genesis is a great sedan and a good value when purchased new. That said it has a high depreciation the first 3 years. If one plans to keep a car for 5 years or more this is the car to buy. The car does everything well and offers the level of luxury and quality of a Lexus (of which I have owned 3) at considerably less cost. I drove this car for 3 1/2 years, 46,000 miles and had to replace only a parking light bulb. If my business had not forced me to buy a SUV I would be still driving this car. I would recommend the purchase of this model Genesis to anyone.

Stay away from the 2015 Genesis
I wanted this car from the moment I saw it, I looked up reviews and some were bad, I still bought it. I basically live in the dealership, I have issue after issue, I just wanted a nice car to drive around and it has became a nightmare, the dealership are there to fix some issues, but its time consuming, I am given car rentals, but what happened to the new car that I bought? I should have never bought this car. It has been a terrible experience, from the brakes not working, the light turns on, brakes leak oil, it got fixed, then the calipers, then the oil pump, then the head lights turn off at night, then the trunk opens while driving, then the panoramic sunroof makes noises that the dealer can't fix, not even the youtube videos, the car pulls to the right, it makes a noise when turned off, it makes noises when driven, the AC stopped working on the passenger side, the signal lights keep burning out, its a car from hell, I regret ever buying it. The dealership can fix some issues, not all, they say its not as bad as others, wow, its a mess.

Love my Genesis, but have two (minor) issues
I bought the 3.8 with the Signature and Tech packages, plus AWD, since I'll be driving in snowy mountains in the winter. I've had it for 3 months now, and absolutely love it. I'm amazed at how much value the Genesis offers. Unless you really need superior "racing" performance, it can go toe-to-toe with BWM, Audi, Mercedes, Lexus, etc., but for $10K-$12K less. I wouldn't say those brands are in trouble, but they are definitely under attack.
Over the Top!
The new genesis is a pleasure to Drive, the lexicion surround sound is over the Top. Best car for the quality and Money Period! The technology in this Car is Amazing.

In the end it was worth it!
The Genesis is awesome in many ways. Safety, design, comfort....the list goes on and on. Test drive and you'll see. If you want to eliminate the negotiations part of it go to north county Hyundai. By far the quickest to get to a fair price without the hassles and common practices a dealership will put you thru. I spoke to 15 dealerships and it only took them 15 minutes before I felt comfortable giving them my credit information. That's what you call getting down to business.

World class entry for the mid luxury market.
It only requires a positioning mission statement from sales and then ...the Test Drive. If the driver has done his research..the Test Drive Closes the Deal....Period. If the prospect will just get over the BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Lexus ego trip over brand badging, and just test drive the car.....it is ALL OVER. The car is virtually flawless, and the Sales/Service committment is world class. Never been happier with a car till now. Hyundai is totally committed on this Genesis and am proud to be in on the new model 3.8 Genesis. No better value even close to this car!

Love it EXCEPT blind spot warning, poor controls
See additions at end of the review. Incredible value! It lives up to almost all of my expectations. Quietest car on the road, responsive and plenty of desirable features. However, while my Blind Spot Warning system always works in identifying real cars, it also warns of "phantom" cars. Lots of erroneous warnings on the freeway--could cause a driver to over-react. My excellent dealer has tried multiple times to identify the cause of the problem; Hyundai tech doesn't seem to know anything about it. Also, placement of the controls is poor. It seems to me that they let the engineers design and place the interfaces rather than someone who actually was aware of a driver's needs. For example, the complicated system to control various options is placed to the far right on the steering wheel, the cruise control is to its left. I need to use cruise control a lot more often than I do to change my settings. The manual is absurd--long, poorly designed and sometimes confusing. In spite of my frustrations, I enjoy this car and would recommend it--unless you really need a Mercedes or BMW nameplate and are willing to pay many thousands more for it. Additions: The "Blind Spot Warning" of phantom vehicles continues, but the system has always identified real vehicles in my blind spots. After everything the dealer did to identify the problem without success, Hyundai Service authorized a certified mechanic to drive with me for a couple of hours to see the problem. This is an exceptional response! However, after 100 miles, no phantom warning appeared. 2 days later, 29 warnings showed up over the same miles. I have suggested "poltergeist" as the cause; the mechanic laughed and noted that I needed a "Hyundai Certified Exorcist." I like the car sufficiently that I will continue to drive it and to simply put up with the annoyance. The front seat has lost most of its cushioning and on longer trips I add a cushion. The manual and its two supplements is still annoying. To look up changing the clock to and from daylight savings, I looked in the manual and found "clock" in the index. However, the entry directed me to one of the supplements. My initial MPG turned out to be inaccurate because I live on a steep hill and going down is fine, but coming back up kills the gas mileage. I do not drive as much on highways as I did. Around town I am probably getting 14-15 MPG. The only up side to this is that I'm not driving that far in a year, as indicated by my 2019 miles driven.

I bought a lemon car Genesis 2015!!!
I bought a Huyndai Genesis here at North freeway Hyundai and I've only had it for 2 days. I noticed a noise on the breaks, took it to my mechanic, he said the calipers needed adjustment, well I brought it in to get diagnosed, the service tech Edwin looked at it and argued the noise came from inside the car, I asked him to go outside and listen to the noise on the wheels, he said ok, took it to fix and brought it back worse, he said it was fixed, I showed the noise again and said ok, I know what it is and I been here since 9.30am this morning, its 1.30pm and nothing yet. Horrible service, just badly incompetente people. Im just very sad that I have to tell them what to fix, how to fix it, what if I didn't know? Why dont they check it before telling me its ready? Why arent competent techs hired? Today is 8/10/20 and my car has been a bundle of issues, now its out of warranty and the issues continue, I was sold a lemon car, be very careful when buying cars from this place, they don't check them, mine has had and still has many issues, not its out of warranty, the Hyundai Genesis is just a car full of issues after issues, nice car and all, but all of the issues will make you regret ever buying Hyundai, and I din't want to buy the Jaguar because if the issues and here I am.

Exceptional value and design
Regardless of your preference , test drive the Genesis. We needed to replace our Cad. DTS, and test drove Audi,BMW,CT6 ( what a joke) Jag. Then on a whim we took a test ride in Genesis. It has exceptional fit and finish, is ultra quiet, handles very well ( Have older BMW CONV. for summer ), and is loaded. Wife and I both like it, and it looks great too. Just 4000 miles but it is as solid as BMW.

Beware of Steering Rack!
Bought a used Genesis 3.8 AWD with 98,000 miles. I found it to be over all comfortable until a year later and 110,000 miles on the clock: One day driving in the freeway the steering wheel all the sudden became stiff and I had to pull the car to the side with a lot of force. I turn off the engine and started again and it was good again. This started to gradually become worse and worse and you understand very dangerous until I took it to Denis Hyundai in Columbus Ohio. There they looked at it and pointed out that car is in need of Steering rack. Price tag: $6,700. I talked to them with no result so, I called the headquarter in California, To make it short they didn't even wanted to call me back and after a few time they said they are not able to do anything for me.
2015 Hyundai Genesis
This is a great luxury sedan and we have enjoyed it from day one. Solid, heavy, and safe! The 3.8 AWD tracks with the best of the high-end German autos, I also owned an Audi S8 and, yes I would rather drive the S8, however when you compare the cost of purchase and repair the Genesis is difficult to beat. Highly recommend, short of having the budget for and S8 or equivalent.

Distinct improvement over the previous generation
This is a remarkable car in its category, delivering outstanding performance, ride qualities and features, at a competitive price. In the three months I have owned it I still delight in finding functions and features that contribute to the driving experience - driver assist, GPS, front seat adjustments, and the superior Lexicon sound system, to name a few. This is the Genesis - Ultimate, now called G80 - that truly takes a prominent place in the luxury sedan segment.

My second Genesis
I had a 2009 Genesis 4.6, then anEquus 2011 Signature, and have just gotten a 2015 Genesis 3.8 RWD, tech package. So far it is a great car the one thing I do not like in this car is that the drivers side seat belt connector is below the height of the seat and therefore neccitates rubbing the side of my hand against the console to secure the belt. This being done repeatedly has caused an irritation on the knuckle of the 5th digit. Would like to know if there is some way to extend the connector. Even the 2014 has theheight higher not causing hand to rub on console.
Looks great sitting in repair shop parking lot
People really need to stop comparing this vehicle to other high end cars, especially Lexus. This vehicle looks and drives great until something breaks, Which is about every 5 minutes. The wheel Wells are made of felt, which should say a lot about the construction of this vehicle. Poorly made, parts are hard to find, and you always need them And Hyundai service is the worst I have ever seen, which is saying a lot. I wouldn't recommend this car to my worst enemy!

Great car, second to none!
Leased the Genesis AWD with ultimate package about a month ago. After looking at all the luxury cars I came back to the Genesis as it felt the best. Love the technology and electronics, as well as the car road handling. Quality and finish are top rated, very roomy both front and rear seat. Driving and handling is great, both in the city and on the highway.
Worst car I ever drove
I use to own transportation company for 20 years. During the time drove pretty much most of brands and models in the same and lower class. So far that the worst car I ever drove. car itself looks butifull, has lot of toys and price is tolerable, but it drives terribly. Ride is busy and unsettled. Steering wheel is heavy, car feels unresponsive on corners and does not hold the road, it's like it has mind at it's own and can suddenly decide to move to next line.u have to keep steering wheel with both hands to control the car and can't relax for a minute. Done the alignment, change the tires, nothing helped. It was so bad my wife was affrade to drive it.at 50k miles gas tank door fluctuater and brake rotors had to be changed,at 55k miles radio went down .Panoramic roof rattle all the time and I had to keep shades closed to low the noise.Hyundai dealership customer service is very poor. It looks like they doing u favor fixing car that under factory warranty and all so no free loan car . Bout that car used with 45 k miles on it,year later trade it with 58k miles.lost $10 K ,but just didn't want to deal with the agrovacion. Save yourself from headache, spent little more on Japanese or German car, because u get what u pay for. The dealer I trade the car to is old friend of mine and he told me that after he sold the car it came back next month with starter problem and in order to change the starter he had to remove subframe. Normally I looking at $1.5K to $2K for that .Not bad for changing the starter ,ha?What a stupid engineering!
never again
This car has had multiple repairs to the panoramic sunroof for wind noise, none successful. It appears to be a design flaw and the Auto Nation dealer is incapable of fixing it. It has also had multiple electrical problems with the turn signals having been fixed twice and the driver side rear door handle just fell off at one point. This is not what you expect from a luxury car. Stay away from the Genesis line!!

End of the Lease - End of the Torture
I loved the Genesis when I saw it first time. I loved the design, I loved the features and I thought it is a great value for the money (55K) in comparison with the German and Japanese competitors. Unfortunately we learned that the build quality is low. Rattling from the doors, a snaring sound from the gear-box between 25 and 33 mph and most annoyingly the rattling and knocking glass-roof. Sometimes we thought we will loose parts. We had Mercedes and Lexus before and we had to learn the hard way, that a Hyundai - however they call their luxury brands - is not an Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Lexus etc. The big kids playing in a different league. We should know, that buying a Hyundai cannot fulfill our expectations at all. Sad!

I USED to love my Genesis w/ the Ultimate package
The vehicle USED to be fabulous. The adaptive cruise control is not dependable. I was shocked when my Husband, who has not had an accident in over 40 years had an accident in my Genesis. Needless to say, he won't even drive my car anymore and quite frankly, I am not comfortable in it either now. Even though I am in the 18th month of my lease with about 9000 miles on the car, I will not be buying this car. I just don't trust it. Hyundai was totally unresponsive when I called them after the accident. I actually had my "liason" tell me that I was to keep the car in the same condition for 6-10 WEEKS until they can get an independent inspector to check out the car, oh, and without a loaner!!! I don't know what life is like in your world, but when a $64,000. car needs help, don't expect me to start riding my bike to work. I travel up to 90 miles a day, I have a car and if I didn't NEED a car, I wouldn't have one. Cheers to Hyundai for having the Genesis badge front and back and removing the Hyundai badge. Jeers to Hyundai for requiring the purchase of the Blue Link Connect Care package to get the Remote package. To get the remote package for my lease period is $408 because I have to purchase connect care, which I really don't care about. Over all, based on Hyundai's customer service, I do not recommend them or their products. Update 9/17. I now have 13000 miles on it. Still feel the same. Rough Idle. FYI, my husbands Subaru STOPPED when he got too close to the bushes. MY car runs into another car, hardly leaves a scratch but has over $11,000 damage to it. Something is wrong here.

Not luxury experiance
This is not an Audi Or lexus. When taking it in for service you will see you are servicing a Hyundai. There is no loaner car, no matter what they tell you at purchase. The dealer wants to make sure they don' lose a dime. They swarm the car with alignment tools, and other service not covered under warrentee. They minimize thing that are defective while upselling useless products. I'm sure, in the beginning, they wanted to break in to the luxury car market, but, they didn't put the resources in to do it. Hyundai cheaped out and it shows in the support.

From CTS-V to Genesis 5.0
Having driven this car for only a short time I think it performs very well for a 2+ ton car. It is not as fast as the V, doesn't stop as well, and doesn't handle as well but it is very quick for a big car, it stops very good for a big car, and it handles very well for a big car. All of that being said it was considerably cheaper than a new V, it is finished off much nicer inside than the V, it rides much better and is much more comfortable than the V, and gets very good fuel economy so far as I can tell. Unless you just need 640HP like in the V I think anyone that is looking for a comfortable, economical, and spacious car with reasonable power they should at least consider the Genesis 5.0. If you must have more power then I understand Genesis is coming out with their version of the V, M, AMG, RS, and the F. It will be the N performance division and I suspect it will give all of the above a run for their money.

Great sedan with multitude of features for less $$
My Genesis ultimate has all the safety features available. The best ones are the heads up display and keyless ignition.

Leasing a Genesis was my worst Auto Decision Ever
I have had p pretty good luck with cars and have been extremely happy with most of my purchases/Leases. My latest decision to lease a Genesis did not work out so well. When I signed the lease I was pretty excited about the bells and whistles. My exuberance quickly turned to disappointment. Almost immediately parts started falling off the vehicle. When ever I would even touch a parking block the front bumper would come loose. The Courtesy Hyundai dealership wanted to charge me over $1,000 dollars to fix it when it basically just needed to be popped back in. When I had to replace the windshield washer cover they wanted to charge me $90 to paint and replace a $10 part that should have been cover under warranty. When I ordered the part I had to wait over 40 minutes and another 40 minutes to pick it up at the parts desk. In both cases employees wondered behind the parts desk ignoring customers waiting at the desk. Interior trim and door seals are continuing to come loose. In a nut shell the car is poorly constructed and the bells and issues are not worth the costs.

Too pricey
4th genesis and they keep getting better. Leased my 1st one in 2009 didn't think it would get any better until I got the 2015 Genesis.

Three Genesis in Four Years
Take a drive after reading the literature. Study the safety features. Be ready with questions. You may well leave with a Genesis.

Wow great priced awesome machine
I can not believe the comfort, the sport mode speed around corners this sucker moves. I am a E350 mercedes guy no more high priced lease german auto makers are not going to be able to compare.
Car Vibrates Terribly and is not a Quiet Ride
The 2015 Genesis 5.0 vibrates terribly and tires wire frequently. There is a flaw in the front end construction. Avoid this car at all cost. It is beautiful to look at and has all the latest bells and whistles, but it drives terribly. You will feel the vibration in the steering wheel and the seat. I had a 2013 Genesis 3.8 which I loved, so I made the mistake of trading up to this lemon and regret having done it. Google 2015 Genesis vibration problems and tire problems for yourself.

Genesis is nice car but Hyundai is terrible brand
Dealer did a nice job in sales process. However, I leased my car and it has been a nightmare dealing with Hyundai Finance. From the very start I had to argue with them and the dealer and get the regional sales rep from Hyundai involved to correct the lease payment to what my contract stated and was correct. Then 15 months later i get a late payment from Hyundai saying I owe $90 due to my taxes going up six months ago - which was not accurate - and never getting a change to my payment or notification. They collect my payment (the correct original payment every month and verify it's collection) and then randomly decide to tell me they think the payment changed due to a tax change and I now owe $30 more a month on my lease payment. Terrible. This is so sad. The Genesis got me out of premium brands to this budget brand. I like the car but obviously the dealers, the finance company (Hyundai Finance) and the manufacturer are still budget!

Different world from my Nissan Sentra!
The ride is exceptional, but you can tell that from a test drive. In 2015, Hyundai put their Hyundai logo on the trunk. I had the dealer replace it with a Genesis logo. I also took the license tag off the front grill to an improve its looks. Seems silly, but I also like the way the car greets me with its white LED interior lighting and the little jingle it plays.
