Used 2016 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Consumer Reviews
Fun car, very quick
The decision for me came down to a used FR-S, Mini or Gencoupe. I chose a 22k miles Gencoupe for a lot of reasons. The head-turning styling, fantastic performance and interior trim all set the Gencoupe apart. The FR-S, with less HP and MUCH less torque, it looks great in the rear view mirror as you blow them away. Plus the Gencoupe has much more rear seat room for my kids. The Mini was the handling choice but lacks power. I love the wastegate chatter (I want to hear my turbo work!) but the turbo overall is not loud enough. The 6 speed tranny is fantastic- tight and precise, it's taken some time for me to learn to heel n toe with it (that's made a big difference in smoothness).
Great Car, Great Dealership
I bought my car brand new with only delivery miles on it. I test drove an Automatic Ultimate 3.8 and "Blind Bought" my R-spec. There were a couple minor factory defects with this car, but between Lisa Adamson's diligent response time to schedule repairs, and Micah Lawley's great Salesman support, Superior Hyundai in Anniston Alabama had me back on the road in no time. since then I have had no issues with my car and the maintenance team is super cooperative. Here are a couple things to be aware of though: 1) the traction control is very intrusive. 2) this car is not made for long trips to a vacation spot. its a ready to run racecar (to a degree) 3) this car is the best bang for your buck considering the amenities from the dealership and the manufacturer. 4) the transmission takes some getting use to (if you drive it hard, you WILL eventually grind a gear. thank you shift lock out!) Overall great purchase and very satisfying on an open road.

Love my Coupe
I find this car a delight to drive. It's quick, so responsive that it seems you merely have to think your commands to it, and beautiful in form and function.

Greatly improved
As a previous 2010 coupe owner all I can say is that Hyundai has improved this car inside and out. I think Hyundai has done and outstanding job of responding to the earlier owner surveys, it's no wonder how they have become so competetive in todays market.
great car, questionable warranty support
this car has the same issue my 2.0t sonota did (same Turbo) and Hyundai is still turning a blind eye to the issue saying it is "normal" such a great looking car, shame it sounds like a dodge K car with no oil
