2024 Hyundai Elantra Consumer Reviews

Luxury Feel, Great Mileage, Good Price
Our first Hyundai was a 2022 Tucson Limited PHEV, and we couldn’t be more pleased with it. We decided to get a new 2nd vehicle, more for commuting to/from work for me. I wanted something very similar to the Tucson but didn’t feel the need for a 2nd SUV, and wanted to spend less. The Elantra Hybrid Limited was a perfect fit. Similarly easy to drive, lots of bells and whistles, amazing gas mileage, sharp angular aesthetic, and a fantastic price point. We’ve had MANY cars over the years (this is my 24th), mostly Hondas and Acuras. Our two current cars (Elantra & Tucson) are my favorites of all of them. One year update - still loving the car! Have 7K miles on it now and it continues to be a very easy and comfortable car to own and drive.

WOW
What's not to love? Once you learn to feather the gas pedal 57 to 59 mpg's are totally possible. Very comfortable to drive. It is a great road trip vehicle with plenty of room for luggage. We have taken it to Florida and South Carolina and continue to plan more adventures in the near future.

Way better that expected.
1) Great fuel economy (I get 53-54 mpg in spring). It'll cross 56 mpg in summer for sure with 70 % city driving & 30% highway. 2) Great high-end interiors, especially the seats & the long touch screen curving glass dashboard. 3) Jazzy exterior looks without being too Funky or too streamlined. 4) sport mode gives you a rush if one wanted to, but then you need to compromise the fuel economy. 5)Best value for money Limited vehicle at just 30,000 + taxes. A Prius is 6k dearer to buy & I'm not OK with that as Hyundai is an equally reputable brand. Hope when I review again after a year, I can still talk in such glowing terms.
Transmission
It never seemed to shift right took it back twice and the dealer said that’s the way it shifts. Had the transmission fluid changed at 59k at 61k started shifting poorly. Took to dealer. It needs new transmission. No ETA on transmission. That tells me it must be a real problem because Hyundai suppler doesn't have one and doesn’t know when they will have one. Have a paid for rent a car but can’t drive it for work. I do gigs full time. So beware.
Sharp
I love the style ! I only have 1500 miles on it and average 42 MPG and high of 47! I am 6ft 3 200lbs and fit well in front and back The 2.0 motor is ok ,not a rocket but good enough Noise level not too bad! I LOVE this car , My daughter is on her third Hyundai , 1 was a Elantra 2 are Tucsons and Never a issue
