alignment issues on Elantra
These comments are specific to the 07 Hyundai Elantra and mostly apply to all Elantras. There are NO factory available alignment adjustments available on the rear axle. If the rear tires are NOT in camber adjustment you can purchase the top control arm for the rear that has an adjustment on it that costs about 100 bucks a side. Most generally the camber will not affect handling or tire wear. The only other problem is rear toe is not in spec. NO way to fix this. On the front axle there is NO factory available adjustments to caster or camber. If you take the car to a great alignment shop they would charge you around 300-400 and they can jerry rig an eccentric cam bolt in the mount between the strut and the wheel knuckle. This may help. As for caster you can tell if that is bad by it steering from ditch to ditch. Caster tends to make the car drive straight forward. If this is bad you must file out the 3 holes on the strut tower usually towards the back of the car. Then you must make shims like half moon to place in front of the three bolts in the strut. Without these half moons you will have more bad problems and no way to hold that alignment. The only factory available adjustment to suspension and steering is the toe on the FRONT axle only. That also affects steering from ditch to ditch and hard to hole straight ahead. As a general rule with the manufacturing specs these parts are dead on. Every thing is soft rubber bushings so nothing stays exactly dead on. My problem is they charge for a 4 wheel alignment and the only thing they can do is toe in adjustment. If you still have problems you would need to change parts and then it would be dead on again.
Hyundai Happiness
A woman backed into my vehicle a couple weeks ago in the Tom Thumb parking lot. After 7 years no accidents. Very little damage....did not bother to repair it but under a 1000.00 worth of damage to my bumper! :(

20 Miles Per Gallon - For Real...
Do not buy this car if gas mileage is important to you. I have had this car for 4 months. I get only 20 miles to the gallon on city, flat road driving. Disaster.
garbage on wheels
Everything is cheap and falls apart. A pain in the neck to even put gas in.
