Unpleasant surprise...
This is my 6th Honda.... I would never think that the exterior fit quality would get so low! I accepted delivery after work hours and happily drove home to find out the following morning that two doors are not aligned with the body lines, the tailgate is sticking out while being closed, and other trim/panel visible misalignment all over the car. When I went to the Honda body shop , I was advised that the attempt to fix the issues would probably result in other problems such as wind noise, rattling, etc. I'm weighing my options on the next steps in resolution and believe that Honda should step up their QC process . **** 07/16/19 Update - Dealer addressed major misalignments... that's ok. - AWD Problem warning light came arount 8.7k. That was (hopefully) fixed by re-connecting wire harnesses (took two visits to the dealer to diagnose... ) - VSA warning light came around 9k once .... was not able to replicate - Numerous false positives for collision avoidance system.. that's annoying.. - Warped front rotors around 7k due to collision avoidance false positive breaks ....addressed by dealer - Idle stop is ok, when works.... Used internet forums reset procedure a few times.. - Transmission will not up shift and 'sticks' in lower gear under some conditions. I'm still trying to figure out the pattern - GPS console freeze on occasion (totally not responding) during the drive...had to stop at the service area to re-start the car... Update: 23k- ongoing issues: weak brakes, non functional wifi phone charger, minor wind noise. Engine and transmission are excellent Update: 45k- stalled on the highway after idle stop engaging. Had to pay the dealer to replace the battery. Consistent otherwise.

Honda quality on decline
We got a brand new 2019 Honda EX-L and took possession from the dealership in Round Rock, Texas in the evening when already night started coming down. Went home and Park car in garage. a few days later back from vacation, we noticed that cargo door was not aligned and rear bumper spacing with cargo door was way off. Rear bumper on the left side there’s more than a 1/4” more spacing than at the right side and cargo door corner on the right side is protruding at least 1/4”. Really ugly to see. We went back to dealer and they send us to service department. Service department supervisor told us that in order to fix that, they will have to take all interior out and there is no guarantee that they will be able to fix it. We went back to dealer and even though sale manager told us he will exchange our car, his boss told us no way. We did not have received car registration yet. That boss told us there’s nothing that can be done because all car a made now with robots and all other car are same. So, sad side of the story is we paid a little over 36k for a car which has defect. We have to drive a car which we don’t like and even hate it now. Very sad, Honda. I have a 2013 Honda Pilot touring and it’s still perfect. Honda is really loosing it’s reputation and it look like third world car manufacturer. So buyers be aware. I don’t think I will buy again car from Honda, not only that but I will try to get rid off this one as soon as I can and shop for something else. Very disappointed!!!

Great Car
I've owned the vehicle for 8,000 miles now and its been a blast. Tons of room for the kids, great ride, and excellent gas mileage. No issues whatsoever. The 9 speed transmission is the smoothest I've ever driven besides a CVT. Update 2/5/20: still going strong. Not one issue. Impressed with the car overall and my kids love all the room. Avg mpg has been 20.4 in mostly city driving and it drives great in snow. 8/6/20 Still great no issues. 2/10/21 Because of the pandemic it hasn’t been driven much. Roughly 14k miles on her now but still running great. Absolute beast in the snow, sand mode is unstoppable. Much better awd system than any other vehicle I’ve owned. 8/16/21 Almost 17k miles. No complaints 8/16/22 25k miles. No issues whatsoever 2/15/23 29k miles. Still running great - no issues 8/16/23 33k miles. No issues. Two recalls for wiring and software but I’ve never had a problem before or after them. 8/17/25 50k miles. Great family car, no complaints or problems.

Worst Vehicle Purchase Decision Ever!!!
Bought the Touring AWD model in May. Within the first three weeks of ownership, my wife started to experience intermittent dropout in the hands free connection to the point that she discontinued its use. Before even making the first payment on the vehicle, started to experience crackling and popping sounds from the speakers that progressively became worse over time to the point where the infotainment system in the vehicle became useless. Furthermore, the electronic odometer display started to black out as well rendering the car unsafe to drive given that she had no way of knowing how fast she would be going. After several unsuccessful visits to the dealership with no fix for the problem, talking to Honda corporate directly about the problem, and the dealership and Honda corporate going back and forth concerning a course of action on how to fix the problem, the car has now spent the last 29 days at the dealership being “repaired”. Got the last update from Honda corporate today stating that the issue with the vehicle is being “worked”. And that we hopefully be getting it back sometime in the next week or so. I have been a loyal Honda customer for many years and never had problems like this. This is what happens when quality and customer satisfaction is overlooked because a mega company placed its personal interests over the safety and security of the consumer who is the end user!!!! There is a class action lawsuit currently against Honda for this very same issue. Will be exercising my lemon law rights for this bad purchase decision. Shame on you Honda!!!
