Good Vehicle with Some Annoyances.
Had as a rental in California for one week. Had 41K on it... put 700 miles on it. 2022 Touring. Here's what I liked: Commodious cargo area behind rear seats, with sliding rear seats to make the cargo area even bigger. Huge console storage. Good visibility. Easy to drive. Usually enough power. Here's what I found annoying: You feel too much vibration from roads that aren't smoothly paved and it rides hard over bumps (truckish in fact)... because the stylish rims are just too large. Is it really necessary to have 20 or 21 inch rims on an SUV when 18 or 19 will do the job? This is an SUV, not a sports car. I know that lower profile tires help the car handle better, but I need to NOT feel the road so much either!!! The seats are probably comfortable for most people... but I wasn't a fan and I'm not a fan of Honda seats or most Japanese car seats in general. These are wide, which is great, but they are also short which is good for short people but not long-legged people like me. And the thigh support is firm but the butt cushion part was too saggy and weak which can cause pain in a long drive. As usual with Hondas, while the passenger seat is power, no height adjustment is included. Cheapskates! Not a fan of push button transmissions. Each manufacturer now is reinventing what did not need to be reinvented, and doing it their own way. So every time you switch cars, you have to relearn. The Drive button was right next to the "snow" button. So sometimes I would turn on "snow" mode. Honda placed the paddle shifters extremely close to the steering wheel and also next to the turn signal stalk. A bunch of times I accidentally down-shifted in traffic hearing the engine roar and the first couple of times I had no idea what to do... keep hitting the paddles until it went away. I owned a Subaru Outback with paddle shifters and I NEVER accidentally hit them. The controls for the trip meter, radio and infotainment were much more confusing than they need to be. Compass direction and some other info, too small and hard to see on the infotainment screen. When I plugged into Apple car play it would show just a symbol on the screen and I couldn't see my trip meter. And no time elapsed driving is shown with the trip meter. I just didn't like the placement and logic of things. I averaged low 20s for highway and high teens for light around town driving. Power going up grades was adequate, but could be better. I liked this Passport for its roominess and cargo. If it was available as a hybrid, had smaller rims for a smoother ride, more comfortable seats and easier to use controls it would be perfect.
This is the best midsize SUV period
This car is a hidden gem. It is comfortable, has all the safety features and more. It beats all Luxury brands by a lot and has the Honda quality on top of that. I respect everyone’s opinion and the ratings they give but every single brand will have its issues. To me the most important problems to avoid are engine and transmission issues. Getting all picky about road and infotainment stuff is not thinking long term like I do. This car is simply the best and drives as such.

Has a couple of hiccups
Just rolled over 1,000 miles on our 2022 Passport EXL. It has a lot of positive things but the negative issues really bug me. The rough ride is punishing because of the very stiff suspension. The transmission is always confused on what gear it wants. The drivers seat sits to low even at maximum height making it hard to see over the hood.-- difficult to judge where the right front fender is. The turning radius, which reminds me of an old Ford 4X4 truck, makes it difficult to swing into parking spaces. There are better mid size SUV out there. I am a Honda person and brand loyal so the Passport it is. Lots to love and some to hate -- as with all brands.

Grandpas new ride
Everything I expected after viewing dozens of Youtube videos. I love the safety features and am enjoying Apple Carplay I love the sound of the V-6 engine and the acceleration it provides. (I traded a turbo 4 cylinder.) The adaptive cruise control is enjoyable even during short (20 mile) commutes.

Dashboard goes blank from time to time.
Been at the dealer a few times, still the same problem. The transmission sometimes shifts hard not smooth.
