Used 2016 Honda Fit LX 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl CVT) Consumer Reviews
Two years, 30,000 miles, no regrets so far
This is an update after owning the 2016 Fit for two years. I drive about 25,000 miles a year between all three of my cars. The fit, however, has suited me better than any of them. I've owned five cars since I turned sixteen, and this I bought brand new after working insane hours to buy it in cash straight out. I drive aggressively, yet safely. I've put this car to the test in the most extreme conditions anybody should drive in. I've taken countless road trips, but the most challenging one for the car and I was a round trip from Washington to Arizona and back, where temperatures hit nearly 122 degrees. No problems, and a consistent 45-50 mpg's. First off, this is not a fast car. Don't get your hopes up in regards to that. It drives like a Honda should, but the CVT takes any fun out of the acceleration that could be present. In corners, it plows like a bus falling off a cliff. Overall, it is fairly sporty though. The audio system is more than satisfactory, I always use AUX though because the bluetooth and USB couldn't be worse. A lot of bass and clarity makes up for that. Rear leg room is incredible, although I believe part of that is because the drivers seat feels cramped. Take that with a grain of salt though, because I am 6'4". Get five people under 200 pounds in the car and it squats like it's been slammed. That also kills performance. This car struggles to carry it's own weight, let alone five adults. The driver seat is supportive but more lumbar would be appreciated. In the summer, I average 40 mpg's. In the winter, where I drove from -5 degrees to 15 degrees, I got 30 on average. One time, snow packed under the skid plate and knocked it down. I re-secured it with zip ties because Honda wanted to charge me an unreasonable amount. That brings me to another gripe, Honda, specifically Hinshaw's in Auburn Washington is less than acceptable with customer service. I don't speak rudely or anything, but time after time they disappoint me with rudeness and scoffs. I stopped going there because I was so tired of them. One time they changed my oil but didn't replace anything else because they went on lunch break. My car came back with empty washer fluid, black air filter, and not vacuumed or washed. Anyways, storage is great, and the car has never failed me.

Great little car
We traded in RAV 4 for this car after some engine trouble in the RAV. To us, the interior seems almost as roomy. We miss the arm rest in the front seat though. When I pay so little for gas each week, it seems like the greatest car ever!

My new "Yellow Tweedy Bird"
I love Honda and I love Honda Fits. I had a sport model for 8 years. Did like it better as it had fun wheel rims and much more speed. For some reason they discontinued this model. The new one is fine , but it doesn't get the gas mileage that it said on the sticker. I don't think it's broken in enough yet however; so I am reserving judgement on that right now. Seems to be a lot roomer than the old one. Miss the boxes in the wall in the trunk area from the old one. The other thing is the "junk" box between the 2 front seats is very awkward to get into. The top raises from the front and you can't see inside. I think it should have opened on the side. Also very small, like it was an after thought. The seat fold down in the back is much easier than the old one as you don't have to remove the headrests to put them down. I also like the cup holder on the dash by the steering wheel! Very convenient to grab a drink without looking down! I do wish that the windows would come tinted as some of my friends new cars did. Has lots of plugs for the tech stuff. Even one in the "junk" box. It does have a lot of road noise. I have read that you can have soundproofing put in. I may have to look into that. Otherwise, so far it's another great purchase.

Great Choice
Fantastic car that will get you from A to B. Cheap and hauls an insane amount of cargo for a vehicle this size.

My Go Cart
This vehicle is ideal for city driving. If I want to go out of town gas mileage is even better and I have the space to load up gear.
