Door Handle Hell!!

Yeah, it’s a weird way to start a review, but nobody warns you about the weak door handles. Owners discover that they’re flimsy and expensive to repair — but buyers have no idea what they’re getting into! My dealer quoted me $1,000 to replace the driver’s side handle; a body shop, $700. The OEM handle alone is over $300. Cheaper replacements are available but mine lasted exactly one week. It’s a cute car and fun to drive, but the seats are not the best for long hauls. Acceleration improves considerably when you give it a “sport” boost (add the electric engine to it). It’s not a Prius-like hybrid; the IMA assists the engine but it doesn’t ever fully run it, even at low speeds. This means mileage sucks for a hybrid — I have yet to get more than 35 mpg — because the gas engine is still carrying all the extra weight of the hybrid battery. If you want to have more than one other person in the car, you’re out of luck. And yes, there’s decent cargo space but why Honda put that unusable-as-a-back-seat back seat in mystifies me. My ‘16 came with a blind spot camera, and frankly, it’s absolutely vital for safely driving this car. Earlier models don’t have it, and Honda should have been forced to add it. Visibility out the tiny back window is a joke; your camera and side mirrors are what you’ll actually use to see outside your car. If it’s your second vehicle, you’ll probably be far better off. It’s my only car and its issues aren’t setting well with me.

this is not a family car . it is a single sports car . it is awsome . mine is black and it looks and drives great.i can go 2 weeks on one tank of gas and it does not cost much to fill it up since the tank is small.
