Cheesy Vehicle
Cheap interrior. Horn is terrible. The rear back window poor visually. The rear Camara is not the greatest. I regret getting this car. The quality of this car is poor.

Honda has lost it.
Honda is riding out the last of thier quality notoriety. Dealers are still acting like they are selling a quality product, but after this cycle of cars are returned, people will be going elsewhere. Never so happy to turn in a vehicle that was problematic and cheaply manufactured.

Great car make sure you get auto hatch the manual one is hard to close if you are a older woman. I would wait and get the wider one that came out in 2017,2018. that is what i am waiting for to buy a used one.

2016 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD
Road noise in this vehicle is horable. Edmunds says the vehicle is quiet and best in class? I was thinking I got a lemon but on researching the Road Noise it seems to be a problem with all Honda's. I would suggest anyone concidering this vehicle do a Highway test drive to see if they can handle the noise problem. On a recent trip my wife and I had to shout at each other and radio was useless. This is an update to first review - vehicles road noise is hard to live with, and software is a bit quirky and 7" touch screen is to bright at night and very hard to see during day. Gas milage is 26MPG with mixed 50/50 city and highway miles. Ride is firm and tight, the seats lose comfort fast on long trip.

honda drops the ball
car is/was a mistake. cabin fills with gas fumes at idle honda cannot fix it. idle is rough. if you park it inside it will fill your garage with gas fumes. hands free only works with a few phones. fuel mileage is 22-24 around town and 25-27 highway. hated it so much i traded it in on a nissan after 4 months(only got to drive it for 3 months the rest of the time it was in the garage).

Backseat from Hell!
I have never ridden in a more uncomfortable car. The front seat is "tolerable" for short drives. The back seat is miserable for more than five minutes. Two weeks ago, I returned home following a seven day, 2000 mile trip in my sister in law's CRV. Most of that time was in the left rear seat. I only rode in the front or drove appx 200 miles. I am 5'9" and 160# with a 33" inseam. The door design is such that I had to uncomfortably twist my hips & back to enter & "climbing" out always resulted in hitting the door frame with my hip or knees. Leg room with the seat run all the way forward was adequate but, with the seat run back, non existent. The seat back is hard, too upright, & unadjustable. The molded seat cushion is thin & narrow. It was like sitting on a toilet seat for hours at a time. Since the rear seat is directly over the rear axle, I felt every bump, pavement joint, & defect in the road. Every movement of the steering wheel resulted in swaying & rocking that left me mildly car sick most of the trip. My lower back & hips are only now returning to normal & climbing stairs is comfortable again. Never again!

Basic design flaws make driving uncomfortable
If you wear anything in your hair from a ponytail to a hair clip, the headrest pokes it into the back of your head so you have to take down your hair every time you drive or remove the headrest. If you are short and have to climb into the car, the seat settings are positioned in such a poor location that the seat moves EVERY SINGLE TIME. The keyless start key CR2032 batteries need to be replaced every 2-3 months. I'd rather have to stick my key in the ignition than have to continuously change the battery. Updating review now that I've owned this car for 3 months. I want to get rid of it already. The constant seat adjustment EVERY TIME I GET IN THE CAR is just simply too much to put up with. I can't handle it any more.

By far, the best car that we've owned!
I recently purchased a Honda Fit and was extremely pleased with the fuel economy and comfort level/roominess of the vehicle, so when it was time to trade on my wife's 2005 Chevy Equinox we found an excellent replacement in the Honda CR-V AWD Touring edition. While at first view the CR-V appears comparable in size to the Equinox, that is where the similarities end. The CR-V offers so much more in flexible interior space, amenities and safety features. We did give the newer model Equinox models and the Hyundai Tucson a look and while both cars are very good vehicles, I'm convinced that we purchased the best of the three. My wife is extremely happy with her new 'limo'.

Well worth the money!
I bought this used with 46k, now with 72k. I haven't had any problems with it and it still runs like new. I bought the 2016 because of the bad vibration reviews of the 2015. IMO mine was fixed. You get a little vibration if you're in Drive waiting at the drivethru, but it's nothing major. If you want to ax it all together you can slip it into Neutral or turn the fan on. Pros: Great gas mileage 26/34. Spacious.i like the SE's larger 17" tires. Smooth ride on long trips. I've gone from Ohio to Florida. Many 6hr trips too. Steering is responsive. Traction is great, it's a tank in the winter. Passing acceleration is good. Good backup camera. Good visibility. Chain driven not rubber belts. Good radio reception. Cons: The Variable transmission takes some time getting use too. Vibration is slightly annoying for long stops, but not horrible and as said you can neutral or put the fan on and it's gone. Its an rpm issue. I didn't like the cloth seats at all and they are not super comfortable as reviewed, so I upgraded to EKR custom leatherette seat covers and its been a major upgrade difference in comfort and looks! About $240 but Well worth it. Radios fine but speakers are average. Overrall a great car.

NOISY NOISY NOISY
FINAL UPDATE 9/26/18- Tried to learn to love this CRV but it just never happened. Traded in the 2016 CRV for a 2018 Mazda CX5. The difference between them is night and day. The Mazda is one of the best cars I have owned. Comfortable, Quite, Intuitive,Handling, Power get POSITIVE checks. Gas mileage is not as good as the Honda's. UPDATE 7/2017- I dislike this car more than ever. The driver's seat comfort is my greatest issue. I have added a foam cushion to the backrest, without it I cannot drive the car because my back aches. (I don't have that issue with any other vehicles I own). The audio system is just a PIA to operate. Road noise is terrible. Have decided to ditch this car ASAP. Bought 2016 CR-V EX. as the replacement of a 2006 Hyundai Tucson Limited. I considered the Mazda CX5 but hesitated because I couldn't find long term data results for the SkyActiv engine. Was unimpressed with the RAV4 and the Ford Escape. After 2 weeks with the Honda I regret the decision. No matter what I do I cannot get comfortable in the driver's seat, The car has power adjust seats but no position is satisfying. I am 5' 8" and 190lb. The seat is wrong at the lumbar no matter deflated or inflated,- hard on the butt , poor conforming and feels to narrow across the back, just terrible. Not looking forward to a long trip in the saddle. Road noise volume is unbelievable, It came with BridgeSTONE tires, I never had them on a vehicle. I am hoping that once they wear out, a set of Dunlop's will improve the noise level. Obviously the roof has NO sound proofing because during a heavy rain the sound was brutal. The audio system has no possibility for satellite radio. The Bluetooth is spotty. The displays are minimal in choice. The gas mileage has been great, With the ECO off the car has adequate power, when on NO. There is no doubt this is a four cylinder when you give it the whip, but it's OK. Handling is good, wheel feel is good. Transmission is smooth. Hope to never experience diabetic neuropathy in the feet, gas and brake pedals are very close together and have at the same time hit both a few times, confident I will get used to this. Not thrilled with this car, hoping that opinion changes in the next 150,000 miles.

2016 Honda CRV LX 2WD
Excellent value. Good looking, highly practical, consumer friendly, pleasant to be in and drive. Acceleration is probably the biggest drawback. I have gotten used to cars with better ability to merge into traffic, and to move quickly when necessary. We ended up buying a used car rather than leasing, because of the onerous sales taxes in Texas. This was our top choice of vehicles in the price range.

Awful road noise
I’ve had my 2016 CR-V Touring for five years, 96k kms. All round a good vehicle except for maddening road noise. Awful! Never had a car as loud as this, and I’m senior with a few under my belt.
Just passed 100,000 miles
I financed our 2016 Honda CR-V SE when it was 3 years old, most likely an expired lease, certified plus extended warranty to 100K and never needed to use that warranty because everything has worked just fine. I do take it to Honda dealerships for maintenance. I have not experienced the vibration issues others have mentioned. Visibility is great. Able to carry and haul so many things! Even put a hitch on the back for a U-Haul trailer. The back seats fold forward and down with a simple pull of a strap creating an almost flat surface with the rear cargo area. Back seats also split. Headrests drop forward for better visibility out of the back window when seats are still in up position. Handles well - wife claims its stability may have kept her from a bad accident when a truck crossed over in front of her lane such that she had to quickly steer out of the way. Could have been a situation where she toppled over but did not! Fantastic mileage - the trip meter shows I am typically average 34+ mpg. I do mostly highway driving and it does have an Eco feature. My version does not have heated seats, but the ac/heater does work well. I don't have fog lights. I do wish the CD player had a rewind feature where you don't have to start at the beginning of a song. My complaints are few and no comparison with the peace of mind, dependability, and usefulness of this Honda for over 4 years of second hand ownership. I've always liked its look. The headlights do need a professional cleaning now although I might have them replaced because I will most likely keep this SUV for 2 or more years. Highly recommend!

Should've gone with my gut instinct
Can't believe there's NOT a trunk release inside the car! If you don't think you'll miss it, make yourself not use the one in your existing car and see if you miss it. Had a 1995 that even had it in there! Asked dealer (after I bought it) where it was & they said the only model that has it is the touring model. The back-up system is so generic, compared to Ford's. When you back up with theirs, the visual is green (ok), yellow (getting closer) & red (you're right on top); the audio is beep beep (ok), beep, beep, beep (getting closer), & BEEP BEEP BEEP (you're right on top). Honda has no audio and bare bone yellow-no comparison. I'm short and although I try not to hit my knee when I get in, I'm frequently nailing it on the console below & to the L of the steering column, also hit my head a lot on the top. The radio is horrible! the buttons are SO small (& I've got little fingers) I'm constantly hitting the wrong buttons while driving, which throws the thing into la-la land; no matter how much I practice on it, it's a pain & I despise it. Car doesn't do well in high winds for handling. Also sounds like the tires are out of round if it isn't driven every day. The AC and heating system take forever to cool/heat. For a $32K car, I would not buy another. I do, however, like the way the seats lie down in the back...that's what initially attracted me to it plus I've owned Honda's since 1985; still have my 2005 Honda which I gave to my son for high school graduation as he'll be using it to and from college. Feel like giving him the CRV but have payments...if I could do it over, I'd buy another Accord. My husband wanted me to buy a SUV since we already had a new Taurus, the Accord and a pick up. Should have listened to my instinct and bought the new Accord!+

one year, 10000 miles
Overall, after 10,000 miles, very good car with high road clearance, good power, cornering, visibility & mileage -- fun to drive, good for around town & hiway, would purchase again Hard riding on all but smooth roads especially back seat. Front seats well adjustable. Heat & Airconditioning - very weak, better after 30 minutes Back gate lock handle replaced under warranty Great power at any speed from variable transmission "Economy" gas saver feature good for hiway -- 33 mpg Roomy Must purchase rear boot cover separately -- should be standard, inexpensive on internet

1 year and 14,000 miles later, great little car
We bought this car used - it was a leased vehicle before us, and the previous owner put on 4,367 miles in four years. So it was practically brand-new. We’ve put on 14,000 miles since then, and haven’t encountered any “gosh I wish I hadn’t bought this car” types of problems. It handles well and, despite my best efforts, I could not get it stuck in the snow. The dealership replaced the tailgate release button and fixed some broken wires on the rear window defroster. Other than that, this car has been a real champ. I’d totally buy one again.

Honda CR-V LX -- it's okay
I have owned two CR-Vs -- a 2018 and a 2020 model. I traded my 2020 model for a Prius about two years ago. Recently, I inherited a 2016 LX AWD CR-V model. Although it has low miles (about 40,000), it's not in great cosmetic condition. I know that the brakes were recently replaced and the tires are like new. The car seems quick, is relatively quiet, and it really feels a lot like my newer '18 and '20 models did. Things I like are that because it's a base model, it uses a real key (versus push-button ignition) and I like the single-zone heating system. The cabin gets much toastier, faster, than did my newer models with their dual-zone climate control. I've driven the CR-V about 5,000 miles since I got it and I'm averaging between 28 and 29 mpg in mixed driving. There's nothing I don't like about this vehicle and find it to be a great companion vehicle to my Prius. I use the CR-V for hauling bulky items or rough roads and my Prius for everything else. Surprisingly, the floor space in both cars is comparable but the cargo area in the CR-V is taller to fit bulkier items.

2016 Honda CRV hot or not
I believe the interior of the 2017 CRV has changed. In this model year I still find the instrumentation to be awkward. Other than that I like the vehicle. Economical, reliable and the AWD really does plow through a good amount of snow.

Safe and Easy Crossover
I bought this car used with 36,000 miles on it after trading in my 2008 V6 RAV4. When the Eco button is on, I get good fuel economy (26.2 so far) but there is a very noticeable lag in acceleration. The seats are very comfortable and it gives a very quiet ride with smooth accelerating, braking, and steering. The audio easily and flawlessly syncs to my iPhone, so I love being able to play music without having to connect cords. I love the safety features, especially having a right turn camera (very helpful for lane changes and checking for motorcycles/bicycles) and backup camera. The rear hatch closes with minimal effort; sometimes I'm shocked that it closes all the way when I give it a very light push. Besides the slow acceleration, the thing I miss most from my RAV4 is the driver's storage. The cupholders are small (although they are slightly adjustable) but in general the center console leaves room to be desired compared to other models I've looked at. I've also found that the overhead room is a little tight. I'm not terribly tall (5'9") but with the drivers seat set to a comfortable height, my head regularly brushes the ceiling if I have a hat on.

Joel's 2016 CRV EXL
This is my second CR-V with the previous being a 2009 EX-L. This is my fifth Honda. The 2016 rides and performs significantly smoother, more quiet and is more economical on fuel than the 2009. I am very pleased with the comfort, ride/handling and how much more quiet the cabin is than the 2009. I am very pleased with the CR-V thus far. The dealer that I purchased the vehicle from is top notch and made the buying process very easy.

Very comfortable, smooth drive. Great mileage. Powerful engine, pretty quiet drive. No problems so far-8000 miles. Update- running great, no problems whatsoever, hit 15,000 miles in a year, this was our 3rd Honda after a Civic & an Odyssey. Looking forward for a long run ahead. 30 year Honda Buyer. Not very impressed currently.
I have a 2016 CRV LX. The SUV does great in the snow, and has a decent interior design even for an LX package. I have to say although, it is the most cheap looking vehicle out on the road as new vehicle being driven off the lot. The exterior couldn’t have been more less detailed and lifeless. For a 28 ish thousand dollar SUV (MSRP) purchasing new, you’d think you’d get a bit more. Overall not impressed, there is a lot of body roll on turns, and have experienced a vibration at idle when RPMs suddenly drop randomly, then level back out. (Experienced a few times) - A known issue by a lot of owners.. Will be turning it in next week for an EX-L new body style 👍

Cheap little CRV
We have the LX model so not a lot of luxury. Gas mileage is very good on the CRV and mechanically it is very good. Only thing that sucks on these and probably most other cars are that the rear brakes wear out quickly and I don't think the residual value stays very high so not much on trade in value even though we are only at 19000 miles on a 36 month lease.

Noise
CONS::: (1) too much noise when riding. you can hear the outside noise from traffic. (2) brakes make a creaking sound. dealership says its normal due to weather. (3) the parking/backup camera is blurred when it rains so you really cant see what is behind you. makes this feature more or less useless. (4) front drivers seat gets uncomfortable if riding for any length of time. (5) CD player setup is kinda "dumb". you have to push the button to raise the display screen to get access to the CD slot. (6) USB ports are inside the center console. hard to utilize. PROS: (1) good gas mileage, we averaged 32mpg on an extended trip. (2) looks good, good lines and style on the body. (3) price was OK.

As a retirement purchase this likely will be our last new car purchase. We researched and test drove 6 different SUVs before settling on this one. Easy to get in and out of, understandable modern technology, comfortable seats and ride, great visibility, and lots of standard "options" included in the package. Honda got this one right.

super
Have driven many different makes over the years. Wasn't sure about the Honda but it was rated number one and I can see why. I have driven to Florida, Texas and Arizona so far and the comfort of the ride and gas mileage is great. The navigation system isn't as good as the one I had in my Nissan. If you set a route and go the wrong way it will recalculate and not tell you to turn around. I drove to Leon, KS in Sept of 2017 after having the car a year and it was taking me about 2 hours out of my way. Thankfully I had my phone and started a new route then turned the system back on. One improvement that could be made to it is also adding what the speed limits are.

Stay away from this vehicle at all costs
I had a 2013 Vw Touareg tdi, and it was my wife's decision to buy this vehicle. Worst mistake I ever bought. First off they didn't tell you at the dealership that the vehicle has a special traction control system that automatically works when engaged and almost cost me three accidents because it slams on the brakes then the drivers view on the dashboard goes all nuts. The lights are very distracting on the dashboard and to me can not be turned off. Then the radio setup for blue tooth and radio stations sucks! First off they only give you 10 presets for your Sirius radio which is not good. Especially if you want to hear other things. Functionality of this radio is system is horrible and not very user friendly. Finally the worst thing about this vehicle is the gas consumption. I feel like I'm only 200 miles a week but I had to fill the truck up three times. I'm not impressed if it wasn't for my wife I would never buy this vehicle! Just because it's made from Honda doesn't mean it's a great car. As soon as I can I will get another Vw and stay away from Honda products! Don't waste your money! Get a nicer sub with better gas Mileage.

Buy a different car !
Our top of the line Touring CR-V 2WD has only one power seat , only one side camera when turning right. Car has NO lane change avoidance warnings/tones or backing up side avoidance warning/tones When you engage the cruise control the Collision Mitigation Braking System or the Forward Collision Warning will slow you when it senses a car in front of you and when that car drives away the car will down shift to catch up so hold on car goes into hyper acceleration and this is dangerous ! . Now remember this car has a Eco button that softens the gas pedal rate which will save gas but does not inter function with the cruise engaged. The car has electric controlled mirrors but the car won't remember your settings but has a 2 person driver seat memory . When in reverse the camera works but will NOT warn you or apply brakes if there is an obstruction in the warning area and the camera is poor visual quality . The screen and it's electronics are not user friendly , When entering the car and starting the radio will come on but you have to use the steering wheel controls to lower the audio sound. Looking for fuel average or instant gas mileage, it won't be on the fuel screen in the center of the dash you have to select it in the center cluster . I don't even think the mirrors will fold in with a push of a button. The main screen , I have been trying to get the clock to default to if your done with say audio or your done with the navigation . The lane Departure Warning seems the best part of the car it will correct the steering to maintain its position in the lane and warn you if your getting close or it can't sense the lanes position , This is great as an autonomous feature but it will search from side to side of the lane , I just wish I could adjust the warning signal to integrate into the audio and in a louder tone . All of this in just 680 miles . I would seriously consider another car ....................BMW X1 ? update where is the blind spot monitor system ? i drive for an hour and the average speed only shows 35 mph. cable your phone (usb) to the car jack and your phone face goes dead and it wont charge the phone in this condition. I have not figured out how this phone car interface works . audio adjust with speed ? doesn't seem to work but the door seals on the "B" pillar need to be improved you can hear a car go by or just let the outer door handle slip closed and the door sounds hollow . I'm so done with this car , don't want to drive it

Good valur for money car
Car is good a little vibration from engine comes in cabin when idling in signal stops although it very much less than 2015 models.infotainment system can be better as no Apple and Android support without purchasing additional accessory from dealer, even after that its not the same like built in Android and apple car play. I find AC a bit weak after using first summer for Southern heat.

Happy So Far, But It Could Be Better
I'm enjoying my new car so far but there are a few things that could be better. Even with the standard 4 cylinder engine the car has enough pickup when needed. The interior is comfortable in the front and back seats but the seats feel very firm so I'm not sure how comfortable they will be on a long trip. I still need to do a little more experimenting with the different lumbar settings on the drivers seat. The ride is a little stiff so I do feel bumps in the road when driving but it's not any worse than the ride on the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox that I traded for this car. The only minor disappointment so far is that I'm getting about 2 miles a gallon less than the combined mileage that Honda says you should get. It could be a combination of doing more city driving than road trips, cold weather where I'm using the heater almost all the time, or the fact that that engine is not broken in yet. Hopefully it will get better over time, and I'm looking forward to taking the car on a long trip sometime this year.

Better than Rav4
Looked at Toyota and Honda. Traded our Civic for a CR-V. Traditional Honda Quality. Lots of safety features and love the styling. Perfect amount of room for our family. Very stable and solid at highway speeds. Great safety rating.

Our first Honda
Not as good of discounts as some other brands but seem better made than others. More quiet cabin and better driver feedback when operating.
