The vehicle rides a little too noisy. It lacks power. But is very annoying because the ac sends a stale odor into the cabin after sitting for a few hours. Honda has not been able to fix and tells me to turn the ac off. That's not acceptable. This is our 5th Honda. No major issues before. They all have lacked power and had several squeaks. It usually took me a few months to fix the squeaks... then ok. Both dealer and Honda do not stand behind vehicle. Worst vehicle ownership experience in my life.

Fifth CR-V (2002/2006/2012/2014/2016)

Sold my 2002 LS at 175K miles. Sold my 2006 SE at 80K miles. Traded my 2012 EX-L AWD (hated the color) for a 2014 EX-L 2WD (big mistake). Finally got a 2016 Touring CVT. I would have never thought the 2016, a 4th Gen model, would be such a huge improvement over the other two 4th Gen models I owned. The NAV system takes getting used to, but works well once you learn how to use it. The acceleration was a significant improvement (thanks to CVT and Drive-By-Line) over the other 4th Gen models. The biggest surprise was all the safety features. Lane assist, assisted cruise control, video side view mirror, etc. The power latch is to kill for. Very happy. Now I just have to resist buying a 2017. :)

The Voice recognition and Navigation 0n 2116 Honda CRV is TERRIBLE. Its hard to use and wont work the rest of the time. Even the service department and sales department cant figure it out . Service Dept. told me to have Sales Dept figure it out, Sales Dept told me to have Service fix it. This is the only Honda I have ever bought that I have regretted buying.

I owned a 2014 Honda CRV and I'm loving the 2016 CRV even more!!! The phone system works great with my iPhone! All the new gadgets are so much fun to learn and the right hand turn signal camera is great to have.

We purchased this used with 19,000mi and found it just broken in. Great build in general, consistent with Honda quality. Only routine maintenance done, no surprises. It can get 26-28 mpg around town if you drive conservatively. Surprisingly, the mpg drops to about 24 when you keep it about 70-75 mph, probably due to the AWD and small 4 cyd engine. My other car is an 2012 Acura, but despite that common heritage, I did not think the steering wheel controls, or even the touch screen controls were intuitive. They seem to push you towards using your voice control to do everything (at least while driving, for "safety" sake) for navigation and that was VERY frustrating. The voice recognition software is just not good enough- at least not in during a noisy drive (which reminds me, it is noisier than my Acura, as expected, but I still think they could have quieted it down some. The lane warnings are occasionally inaccurate, which bugs me, but it is not terrible. As a follow up now, in 2024, it has needed no major maintenance. Still runs well.
