Used 2007 Honda CR-V LX 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
Unusual noises
It makes loud brake noises, especially at low speeds. In addition, I hear the chip noises go on and off every time I accelerate the car. I don't think my next car is a Honda again.
poor fuel economy
My 2007 had problems in manufacturing. Within the first 350 miles it had an oil leak. At first it was assumed to be the oil pan gasket. Continue to leak and was found to be the left engine seal. The problem was, they had to wait to get a special part so they could remove the engine in the new 2007's. Apparently, they had not planned on removing the engines so soon. Also, the mileage advertised indicated 23/30 read the fine print. It says, 19 to 26 in town. According to the dealer after the first oil change "we will see". Do not anticipate much more. I am getting about 16.8 in town. Good luck

New to Honda
I am a first time Honda owner after trading in my Nissan Maxima for the 2007 CR-V. I don't know if it is because I am only 5'3 but I am having a difficult time with visibility while turning corners and changing lanes. My 2nd issues is mpg, I am a conservative driver but still only managing 21 mpg in town and 26 mpg hwy. The one feature I could not give up was my Homelink system. My dealer installed an Acura mirror with homelink as part of the deal, as well as a rear cargo cover & remote start. I prefer the plush leather seats of the Maxima for long distance driving, but for in town the CR-Vs are fine. I am amazed and delighted at how well the CR-V has handled winter driving.
2007 Honda CR-V LX AWD
The CR-V always impresses us with its practicality and ease of use. The cargo area will easily swallow 3 full size bikes or a lawn mower. It gets impressive gas mileage, without sacrificing power or size. The CR-V will hold five people in comfort. It is also nice to drive and gets the highest possible crash test ratings. The only complaint I have is that a V6 version or some other higher power version would be nice. I think the Subaru Forester is a better vehicle, but it isn't as roomy.
Great car for the money
Got the CRV LX 4WD for my wife and the baby. Nice little car - easy to drive, enough space for 2 car seats plus a small adult in the back. The car has some great little touches inside, like the reclining rear seats, folding center console, and rear doors that open almost 90 degrees. The "conversation mirror" is kind of a worthless gimmick, however. Two things surprised me, one good, one bad. First, the ride is rougher than I expected, especially in the back seat. However, the little 4 banger they put in this thing was adequate for city driving and a short trip on the highway. With two babies and 3 adults in the car I had no problem getting up to highway speed and merging safely.
