The 2017 EX-T Manual is a fun to drive car!

This is a great car! I prefer a manual transmission, and I was happy to see that it was available in a middle of the line vehicle. I test drove a CVT version of EX-T and I liked it. I told the dealer I'd prefer a manual and they located one for me. When I got to drive the manual version, it felt much lighter, and felt like it had a lot more power than the CVT version! It snowed in my area the day after I purchased the vehicle and this car did great in the snow and ice without traction devices! I think that the manual transmission gives me a lot more control and that with front wheel drive really helps in snow/ice conditions. I am impressed with the interior of the car, the controls, and the information/entertainment display. I use Andriod Auto and that allows me to use Google Maps on the cars display, use Pandora or other apps, take/make phone calls, get weather reports, and other information through my phone on the car's display, or with automated voice! I really like the camera mounted on the passenger side mirror, when I turn on the right turn signal the camera shows me what's on that side of the car eliminating any blind spot! I highly recommend this car, I think the EX-T is the best value in the Civic line, and I would buy it again! Accessories I got include All season floor mats, 2 cargo hooks, trunk tray, body side molding, wheel locks, illuminated interior, and rear bumper applique. Update: I have had the car for almost 7 months now, and I still give the car 5 stars! I use it as a daily driver, and I have taken it on a few vacation road trips. One of them was more than 500 miles each way. It did great through the desert, the mountains, and everything in between. I would buy this car again. If you are looking for a economy sedan that's fun to drive (especially the manual transmission version) , this might be exactly what you're looking for! Update: I have had the car for almost 19 months now, and I again give the car 5 stars! I still use it as a daily driver, and I would buy the car again. Highly recommended!

Pleasantly surprised with the mpg! Replaced a Jetta TDI (dieselgate). Drivability is very good. Love the manual transmission - short throw and sporty.

Everything I wanted

I was looking for a car compact enough to fit in my garage with modern safety technologies like adaptive cruise control (coming to a complete stop) and lane keep assist. Went for the EX-T with the sensing package. Wanted the extra oomph, so got the turbo. The higher fuel economy is a plus. The overall buying experience was great. I got an internet quote from Walnut Creek Honda. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase. * Likes: Great balance of ride and handling. Looks great on the outside and inside. Sensing package. Roomy front, rear seats, and trunk. Great road and wind noise isolation. Good fuel economy. Android auto. * Dislikes: CVT not good for spirited driving but great for fuel economy. Noisy under acceleration, engine sound in the cabin is not pleasant to hear. Front seats can be more comfortable. Miss the volume knob. The thin cloth fabric looks cheap. Sometimes, I need to plug in the phone twice for Android auto, I think it is because it routes the phone via Bluetooth and audio via the cable. Overall great job, Honda. Thanks for listening to customers and come up with such a nice car for the price.

Stay away from any Honda with the 1.5 Turbo

I would only lease this car and give it back before the 36,000 mile warranty and I would not buy it. I repeat do not buy this car only lease it, unless you are getting it without the 1.5 Turbo. The reason being is that somehow gas is getting into the 1.5 Turbo engines oil which is not normal. Honda says there is nothing wrong and refuses to look into the issue because there is no check engine light. However an independent oil lab (Apex Oil Lab) says that there is 5% fuel disillusion and to change the oil before the 5,000 miles which is the mileage I change my cars oil. If you do research this issue is mainly in the CR-V but is also showing in the Civic and Accord with the same engine. In addition the overall quality is not as great as what Honda's are know for they have cheep seat fabric, cheep carpet, and questionable long term reliability. I wish I had never gotten rid of my 20 year old accord that worked flawlessly with over 280,000 miles. However the strong points of the car is the is amazing fuel economy, acceleration/power, styling, and available creature comforts.
