A Subtle Star

2007 Honda Civic Hybrid 4dr Sedan (1.3L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Many people get caught up in the lure and appeal of exotic appearance, much like face powder in a world of cluelessness. But alas, there is hope. Honda's Civic line is superb. Honda has delivered a smart looking package, brilliant engineering, comfort, amenities, and the reliability that is beyond reproach. I have two new Civics - an EX and a Hybrid. They are wonderful and best of all is knowing that like my Honda's in the past I am good for 150,000 to 200,000 miles without a worry in the world. Thanks Honda. As for drivers of mega-Detroit wheels, please tune in - and - get it. It makes a difference in your total cost of ownership, the fuel bills, and the replacement cycle. Look, buy, relax.

I just traded my Honda 2004 CRV for the Civic Ex 2007, very happy, the car is fun to drive, mileage is so much better than CRV. This is my 4th Honda vehicle. Can't beat a honda for performance. I love this car!!

This car is just plain fun! Ergonomic design is close to perfect. Handling is tight and acceleration is surprisingly good. This car was purchased for my wife, but I am considering one for myself.

The Habanero

2007 Honda Civic Si 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl 6M)

Saved up after working through high school to purchase a car. After countless test drives I came upon a one owner Habanero Red Pearl Si sedan with ~68k miles for ~10k. I couldn't be happier with the car. Initially the car had the infamous 3rd gear grind. Upon reading about the issue, I decided to change my transmission fluid to Royal Purple 75w-90 synchromesh transmission fluid (from oem Honda manual trans fluid) and the haven't ground third or any other gear since. I have kept up on maintenance (oil changes every 3k-4K miles) and have had no other problems save for minor things such as a brake light going out, replacing a battery, and a passenger window that occasionally doesn't want to roll down. Car is dead reliable after putting over 20k miles on it in one year and a trip from Indiana to Florida. Good acceleration, shifts like butter, fantastic handling, gray stock cat-back exhaust, cool interior features such as digital speedometer and great sound system. Keep up with maintenance and this car will go forever. I love it and I bet you will too!

My new Civic Rocks

2007 Honda Civic LX 2dr Coupe (1.8L 4cyl 5M)

Great fuel economy, only been thru one tank of gas, and average was 33.5 MPG. Handles well. Wish the LX had better wheels, but not at the $2000 price for the EX. My kids think it is the greatest, they like riding in it much more than in the minivan (me too). The interior is great, I love the fact that the CD player will also play MP3s and WMAs. Takes some getting used to the speedometer display, it can be too bright at times, and if adjusted not bright enough at other times, but it is very easy to adjust. I am tall, and on the first day I owned it, I hit my knee on the emergency brake handle while getting in, it took part of the paint off of the button, but no big deal.
