Used 2006 Honda Civic Consumer Reviews
Economy wallet, luxury taste!
I love my 2006 Civic! After my 01 Neon was stolen, I knew that would be my next car would be a 05 Mazda3. My hubby wanted to test drive the Civic, and our saleswoman suggested we test drive the '06. We sat in the car in awe for a couple of minutes before even driving. the inter. design is THE BEST! I love the 2 tier dash design. I love the 38 - 40 mpg esp. with the gas prices soaring. The sunroof is lge, easy 1 button design. All the buttons inside the car light up at night, even the steering radio controls. I feel like 007 with the voice activated Navi. Comfort, quiet, refined! The hump in the back floor is gone making 3 adults in the back a reality. I can't believe this is an econo car!
First Honda since '82
I only got my new Civic last night but I'm already very impressed. I currently own two Nissans (99 Sentra SE and 01 Frontier) and the Honda is a very well-built vehicle. With gas over $2/g and a 50 mile roundtrip commute each day I wanted something more econimical and comfortable than my truck (16mpg) that would last forever so I naturally went to the Honda dealer. The handling is top-notch, WAY better than I would expect out of a compact sedan, acceleration is more than sufficient, the safety features are plentiful. The Civic is smooth and quiet even at highway speeds and takes very little effort to maneuver. Tons of headroom (I'm 6'1") and legroom.
Love my 06 Civic hybrid!
In the low 30's (cold N.E.) I am getting 45 mpg on my first 4 fill ups!! At 60 mph I get 52+ mpg in relatively flat terrain. I love my 8 gallon fillups after travelling 380 miles. I love the handling, climate control and all the air bags. Go Honda!!!!!
Turned me into a Believer
All I can say is wow! The transmission is quite possibly the smoothest I've ever had the pleasure of shifting. Gas mileage has lived up to it's name. The worst tank I've gotten so far is 28 mpg, and that was all stop and go traffic. Average has been 34 mpg with mixed driving. Engine is very quiet, hasn't burned a drop of oil yet. Lots of pickup for a sedan, screaming to red line every once in a while is quite fun. Handling is superb, control layouts are intuitive. Everyone gushes at the deceivingly large interior. Great looks, reliability, performance, never thought I'd drive anything but Subaru. Honda changed my whole outlook. Excellent car I'll recommend to anyone in the future!
My Civic
I must share performance of this vehicle. I drive 108 miles back and forth each day from New Braunfels to Austin TX. I average ~70 Mile MPH and I get GREAT mileage. Today I filled up with 10.1 gallons and drove 418.9 miles which equals 41.47 MPG. This is in 100+ degree with aircon on. You talk about hybrids, this vehicle beats them when you compare cost over performance. I do not understand why Honda does not push this car?
