Hands Down A Winner!

I recently traded a 2002 Civic EX Sedan for the 2006 2 DR Coupe. Although it's a change getting used to not having easy access to the back seats, I rarely think of that when driving the car. 500 miles so far and the performance is totally awesome! Fun to drive, engine responds beautifully, great interior design and comfort, great gas mileage in the automatic and Honda really had the consumer in mind when designing the car with side curtain airbags and the impact zones. Safety features rarely offered by other manufactures at the compact, low car cost equivalent to the CIVIC. That says a lot for Honda and their ongoing effort to take care of their customers. THANKS Honda! GREAT CAR!

The 5 speed manual takes a bit of getting used to (about a day or two), but once you're there, it just proves again that Honda produces one of the best combinations of manual tansmissions and engines. This car has the body and suspension to go with it - I picked the car up and brought it home on a freeway at night. Let's just say I didn't realize how fast I was going, even with the large speedometer staring me in the face. I was surprised when I finally took a peek at the speed. Slowed down immediately and put on the cruise control. No vibrations, very little road noise. Doesn't ride or sound like a small car.

I bought my black si after my white 96 aAccord sedan was stolen and totaled (I love ya RIP). The car looks like a spaceship inside and out. The interior layout is real cool and has lots of convenience and comfort features. The seats really hug you. The mp3 sound system with sub is a nice touch. The car has good acceleration & quick handling. The engine sounds great. Buy driving gloves & get the windows tinted. The shifter burns your hand when hot & freezes it when cold. I get the same rattles as other folks but its not that bad. It's due to the stiff suspension. What do you expect? The interior is a lil bit delicate but I think folks trip out b/c black makes scuffs more noticable.

06 HCH is an engineering joy- a true gem

I've owned numerous Civics, including two CR-Vs over the past 18 years, so I highly respect Honda reliability and engineering. Honda has never let me down. For the past year I drove a MINI Cooper S, but realized it was too small/rough/had reliability/issues (but, oh, so fun). So, after researching the 06 Civics, I took an HCH w/NAVI for a test drive. Love at first sight/first drive. You won't believe the improvement Honda has made in the Civic's quietness, and handling. The cockpit is the most ergonomic I've experienced. The driving experience is Zen like because this HCH is smooth, and stopping at red lights is a "rest period" with the Auto-Stop. Best car I've had in 35 years of ownership.

105,000 miles, here's my list of issues... oh yeah, ZERO brake pads @ 82k, tires @ 85k (but I definitely overdid it there), oil changes/tire rotations@ 5,000 filters/blades as needed... that's it. Car was worth every penny of MSRP, getting a discount was only icing on the cake.
