Overrated Civic

Honda has some serious quality problems with their Canadian built Hondas. The hood doesnt even line up right with the fenders. Numerous rattles in the dash area that the dealer cannot fix. The seats are not comfortable on a long trip. The redesigned dash is overrated. Gas mileage is terrible around town (22) On a freeway trip it gets 42 mpg which is good. Too much plastic in the interior which gives the car a cheap look. I just wish I had looked around longer before buying this car. My next car is going to be built in Japan by people who have pride in their workmanship-probably a Acura TSX. This will be my last Honda. For 20k it isnt worth it.

Excellent Car

Given that gas mileage, safety and dependability were my primary factors, I believe the 06 Honda is the only car that provides an effective solution for these needs. With 3000 miles, I am averaging 37 mpg, combined city and hilly highway. I have had no problems and am totally satisfied with this car. It is excellent. I garaged a very nice full size 4x4 and have only driven it 1 time in the past 60 days. No desire, or need to drive it any more. I feel safer and save a lot on gas with the Civic!

Doesn't Deliver As Promised

Call me a critic but the gas mileage is not what the dealer promise. I've now driven 4000 miles and am averaging 41.5 mpg since purchase. Dealer sold both the Prius and Civic...assured me that the Prius would average 45 mpg but the Honda would get more than that. I purchased the Civic, but should have purchased the Prius!!! Dealer said the car still isn't broken in, yea right!!! Car styling is good, but the wind noise is loud. The console is cool, but the seats are not very comfortable.

This car is just as advertised. 86 miles a day hills, highways, traffic and averaging 50mpg. Everytime I fill my tank it's about 10 gallons and my trip set reads around 520+.

I bought a brand new 2006 Civic I thought it would be cool because of their new design. I had this car for more than 6yrs now. Well, I had 2 Major problems with this car and bad service experience with the dealership. My first major problem with 06' Civic was an Engine Block recall. Secondly, 06' Civic broke down in the middle of the road due to computer/wire problem. This car has 55,000 mileage and never used it for a long drive and never been a abuse driver. Anyways, obviously this car is absolute FAILURE! and i will never drive/buy HONDA CARS ever! and NEVER RECOMMEND!.
