Honda did a very good job with this new Civic, but their marketing department really went into overdrive. I like a lot of things about the design, and the road noise isn't that bad. Some things however don't add up right. First of all the mileage is way below what they claim. I'm getting 29mpg doing 75% highway 25% city driving. That's without the AC and driving conservatively. The extremely slanted windshield makes for poor visibility on left turns (due to the post).

I've been reading a lot of reviews things I notice is the car does rattle, that is because if you have anything in the glovebox or in the trunk it will rattle inside with the cheap plastic. Car looks nice, but overpriced for compact car. Price in the entry midsize range. This car is begging to be a sports car, but it's economy roots with is tiny 1.8 is evident, thus good gas mileage. So if you want so so power with good mileage civic is for you, if you prefer a faster car get something else and give up a few mpgs.

Gas mileage

I traded a Tundra for this civic purely for better gas mileage. I'm averaging over 31 MPG. I'm pleased with the performance and the overall fit and finish. If you're looking for an interstate cruiser, soft and heavy, this ain't it but if you need a commuter that is responsive, gets good gas mileage and sits 4 quite comfortably, you should give it a look.

A good vehicle, a tad pricey

So far, it has been a good car (had it for a month so far), but it's still just a civic. It lacks power, bold design, etc. But its an econo car, so I won't make those negatives. The gas mileage is great and I still haven't worked the car in yet. The interior design is good, but the layout is sort of poor for certain things. The outside is kind of boring... looks like a big bubble. The gauges are very cool though, always excites people. Underneath the hood is cramped. The inside trunk release is HORRID. I personalyl tested it, it barely glows, and there are other things glowing inside so its confusing. I knew it was there and barely got it. Imagine a little kid who has no idea trying to get out.

Another LEMON amongst many!

Where do I start? My LX coupe has not tracked straight since the day I bought and after reading other reviews I noticed it seats higher on one side too. Dealer did a wheel alignment - no improvement. 2,300 mi. on the odo. Car is going back to the dealer because it's wandering way too much and wants to change lanes by itself if you take your eyes off the road or hands off the steering wheel for 1/2 sec. Feels like the shocks are bad or the frame is bent. The brakes get mushy when going over bumps or while taking a turn. Steering vibrates under hard acceleration. There is abundant torque steer like a motor mount are broken. Seats are very uncomfortable! This is my 4th Civic and the worst1
