This is a good car but poor seating for a 6 footer. The worst design for vents . It blows in your face with no lower vents. Fix these things and you wil get tens!

I was thinking about buying a new Toyota Corolla when I saw an ad from a Los Angeles County area Honda dealer selling its Civic Hybrids for under dealer's invoice. I went there, test drove and bought it. It's all what the reviews say about it -- very confortable, quiet, peepy performance, good quality in fit and finish.

This is the gentlest car that I've driven. There is no excess of shifting from the transmission. The micro filter is a lung saver when in heavy traffic, it eliminates all smells. The air conditioning can almost compete with my refrigerator, it is a life saver in the hot weather months. The best part of my purchase of this car is the fact that it saves me time by not visiting fuel pumps weekly and by having the car's oil changed. My time is worth more then money and this car is saving me time. This has been one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Thank you!

Bumper loosened and mis-aligned first month. Interior door trim came apart. CV drive boot loosened and tore. Leaking strut.

I looked at many cars on the market. Honda has a reputation for reliability. Even though this car may have ~10HP less then some of it's competitors, I belive that the car is a better overall package then the competition. You can easily make 10 more HP out of this motor with a few cheap mods. If you want fast straightline accelerating car, then this car is quick. But I have driven faster 4cyl. The overall package (interior, handling, performance, and reliability) plus the fun factor made this an easy choice for me. I have over 4,000 miles and am even happier with it then the day I bought it...

Finally Honda improves fit, finish, and build quality closer to new VW Jetta and Passat. The 96-2001 Civics felt cheap, and had poor build quality. Ever had to replace a 5spd transmition in a 97 Honda Civic? I did. Only gripes I have after 3000 new miles on the 2003 is that the power steering to heavy/muted. Honda listen up..... No car of this price or quality should be without ABS. In short much better than the previous model, however Honda still needs to sit the Civic and the Accord for that matter next to a VW Jetta or Passat and compare every detail. Recomended if money is an issue.

The car has been very reliable. I have had to replace the driver's side window motor twice now, I hear others have this issue as well. Like some of the other reviewers, min is at 99,000 miles and my transmission is starting to act funny. I hope I don't have to replace like they did!

Handle is great, economic (For surviving full time student), Very comfortable, all around the love of my life(keeping in mind its JUST a car)
