Reliable car

I have owned this car for 4 yrs. Very reliable, rides smooth, steers very well especially turning sharp for parking, runs great and good gas mileage. Only con to this car...the seats are very uncomfortable, especially on long rides, even using the lumbar support doesn't help. So if looking for comfort rule it out, but a very good car

I have had my Accord for three years now (bought it certified in 2017) and have had zero issues! It is a solid, reliable car. I love my Accord!

Good dependable Ride

I am a V-6 person but this 4 cylinder very adequate. Super comfortable vehicle and looks great. It looks newer than its age and drives amazing. I never used to be a "foreign car" person but these vehicles are very solid. We had a 98 civic before this and we would still have that car if it hadn't got into a fight with a guard rail in the winter. Currently at 80,000 with this one. Pretty sure I will feel the same way at 80,000 more :)

after driving a Toyota corolla for 12 yearsithought it was time to upgrade to a newer vehicle.since my sister has a 2000Honda accord I thought I'd take a look at the 2012 Honda accord because my sister said its a great car she said its very spacious so I went to a Honda dealership and took a look at the accord,I test drove the V6model exl it did offer great power and the A/c was ice cold.i got a great deal nd bought the car I went with the orchard pearl andivory interior got so many complaints.imtoo, it on the highway to go to work and I heard riddling noise coming from the rear window and the seat were really unsupportive for a 45 mins ride my back starting herting and it was loud too

2012 Honda Accord EX-L-dissapointed

This was my first car, I recently traded it in for a BMW X1 and couldn't be happier. While I am not someone who can tell you car specifics, I can say the overall safety and appeal of the car is not good. I am 5'4" and could not see out at all. Whether it was changing lanes, backing up or even seeing in front of me. I only test drove this car once and in the moment, I didn't notice it too bad because I didn't have a lot of previous experience to base off of. However, over the two years I owned this car I only put 20k miles on it because I felt so unsafe driving. I tried everything to be able to see out better; moving mirrors, changing the seat up and down, nothing worked! Also, this car was extremely loud on the road and the longer I owned it the louder it got. The interior of the car seemed very busy and cheap to me. The whole interior was really a bummer for me, it looked cheap, was hard to clean and the leather seemed very low quality. With all of the negatives being said, I will say the car never gave me any engine problems and did seem fairly reliable. The car served its purpose as a first car but I will never recommend this car to anyone for safety and overall appeal, I am much happier with my BMW!

read the long term reliability reviews!!

Don't make the same mistake I did and read the long term reliability consumer reports. The car is GREAT for the first few months (2-3k) and then problems start... I can only speak for my dealer (Sam Swope Honda World) which treated me like I was crazy for reporting a shimmy wheel issue and they weren't able to resolve the problem; but if you read the Edmunds online forums you'll see many similar issues with Accords. I wish I'd read all these before deciding to purchase this car.

2012 Fully Loaded Honda Accord EX, 2.4 Cyclinder

Initially bought the car off the lot during the Presidents Sale but had to upgrade it with leather seating with front seats heating. I had to also add a outside thermometer reading which was not offered in any of the Hondas. I did get a nice value of $11K for my 2009 Honda Accord as a trade-in which had low mileage at below 36K miles. It was a dependable car regarding reliability and I enjoyed the 6 CD-changer that also plays my 9 hours of MP3's during my long distance travels. It was a little underpowered but an improvement over the 2009 Honda Accord. I will probably missed this feature dearly since most new cars are getting rid of CD players. Unfortunately, value of 2012 Honda was only $6K with my new trade-in, despite all the added options that includes the moonroof with worn out tires and a few scratches. It was time to trade it in and go with an SUV as most consumers as most consumers are buying these days. Also, it's nice to change it up after driving a Honda Accord for 10 years.

Test the windows before you buy!

The windows streak severely after having been washed or after car has been driven in the rain. Even up to two days later when the rest of the (garaged!) car is completely dry rolling the window down and back up will leave severe streak marks obstructing the view from that window and, consequently, the mirrors. Even though me and everybody else who has seen it disagrees and consider it a safety issue, my dealer says this is normal so PLEASE, if you have to use your windows a lot, check before you buy! Shame on Honda!

Breaking noise when coming from a complete stop at stop lights

It appears that in most of these 1012 models there is a break noise that becomes increasing loud when the weather temperatures increase. This was rather frustrating because I bought this car in the winter of last year and as it became summer the noise became prominent. Before you purchase this car please test drive it during hot weather and let go of the break after coming to a complete stop. It will crunch and grind as if it were a car with 500+ miles on it. My family owns 5 honda accords from previous years and none of them make this noise. The dealer indicates that it's the pads shifting, but if that were the case why does it change with the weather and only in this model.

Super Smooth engine, refined ride quality. Respectable fuel economy from a 5 speed trans. Surprising that both 177HP and 190HP 4cyl share same fuel economy. Leather trim looks/feels sharp. Torque on up-hill start tends to kick-in at higher RPM's.
