Used 2012 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
Uncomfortable driver seat
I own a 2012 Honda Accord LX. Drivers side seat just slightly above the lumbar support is hurting my back. Adjusting the seat or adding some padding does not help. Extreme discomfort after 25 minutes of driving time. Very poor seat design. Very disappointed in Honda. Do a "Google" search to read about many others having back pain due to the seat design. I like the 2012 Honda Accord's but what good is this car if I cannot drive it without being in severe pain.

MOST UNCOMFORTABLE CAR EVER - DON'T BUY !
We have owned this car for 3 Weeks and myself and my husband now both have back problems due to the driver's seat in the vehicle. It is complete torture to drive this car for more then 20 minutes at a time. When you test drive it for 5-10 minutes you will not notice it but if you drive it for 20 minutes+ you will soon realize just how bad the seat design for back support is as well as the awkward positioning of the headrest. We called the dealer within 24 hours to try & return but they were not of any assistance
Not Understanding Other Reviews
I am a Honda Lifer, I just traded in my '07 Accord lx 4cyl for a 12 Accord se 4 cyl, such a drastic improvement. I wasn't going to be priced gouged by the '13 model. I always figured you get a car with the bugs worked out over the newest toy. OK, the SE model has a power driver's seat, maybe the others cannot adjust the seat and it bothers them, no problem here or with the wife. Noise, no prob's either. Braking, same no complaints. I undetstand that previous years had them. Solid car all around. I was able to get this car for a bargain with the newer model on sale now. Grade "A" vehicle.
Back Problems
Since I bought my Accord at the end of February, I have had lower back problems for the first time in my life. I have had to take a leave of absence to undergo epidural steroid injections. It wasnt until a recent long trip that I made the connection, When it was my turn to drive any lengthy amount of time, the pain returned just the same as the first case of back trouble. I cant go through this pain again and have nothing else to drive. Contacted Honda....we will see.
Poor Heat and comfort
This car does not blow hot air when the temp is below 0 deg F. If you live in cold climates and don't want to over dress for a long commute to work, then make sure to test drive this car in the winter on a subzero day before buying. I actually took this car back to the dealer to have the heat checked in my first winter. The dealer said it was working normal. I've since asked other Honda owners about this and they agree that the heat is poor. My old Galant with 230,000 miles heats up much quicker and hotter! I am sadly trading this car in because of this as I'm tired of driving in an icebox. For a car with such a vaunted reputation, I am greatly disappointed with this vehicle.
Great acceleration and ride but NOISY on The Road
This car has been a real luxury for the last seven years and has required very little maintenance over and above normal wear and tear. My only complaints are .... 1. The car has a lot of road noise even for a 2012 model and in spite of putting much quieter tires and adding sound deadening material for the after half of the body. 2. Don’t even bother to get the expensive updates to the navigation system. The onboard maps are already a couple of years out of date. We normally only use Google maps on our iPads. In addition searching it’s listing for places is woefully inadequate. However after saying all of the negatives, my wife and I thoroughly enjoy the ride, comfort, control, and the power from the V6 engine. If only Honda would keep up with the technology and the noise canceling available in its competition and reserved for the Acura, we would buy another Accord in a heartbeat. Instead, we will transition to an Audi sedan later this year.

Classic Accord
Even though I bought it "used", I got a great deal on a low mileage 2012 Accord V6 Coupe. Having owned 2 previously, I found this one to be classic in its reliability and performance. No surprises. Good, reliable entertainment. The V6 is nice, compared to my previous 4 cylinder Accords. People complain about the driver's side lumbar support as being "agressive". This may be true for most people, however I have a weak back, and find the strong lumbar support to be a blessing. The front seats themselves tend to be a bit "firm". They don't massage you or envelope you in comfort. That would be my only complaint about the 2012 Accord.

Garbage transmissions
2012 Accord is a great car as far as the handling and quality of driving, roomy cabin and very comfortable yet one of the main components is complete trash!!! And that is transmissions. There is absolutely no use of comfort of the car when your trans is acting out at 40k miles and its questionable on weather honda factory waranty is going to own up to it. Thay are very reluctant to take care of their defects and they will most likely try to get out of paying for repairs.

Another Great Honda
I've had many Honda vehicles in my life including several motorcycles, the Ridgeline, an S2000, a Civic hybrid and now this Accord. Its safe to say I'm a fan but I write this objectively in order to hopefully provide feedback for prospective buyers. I was able to get into this fully loaded Accord and I couldn't be happier (I also intend to update throughout ownership). It feels as solidly built as any other Honda vehicle I have had, the previous best being my '06 Interceptor with the Ridgeline a close second. It is definitely the most advanced. It will be a while before I absorb the functionality of all the systems. Spectacular first impressions.
