Come On Honda
I would never recommend a Honda Accord 2009+. My 2009 Accord LX is at best sub par for Honda. I have had 3 other Honda vehicles and they were all excellent except this one. The rear of the car squeeks terribly while going over bumps. The brakes feel like I am standing on a gym floor while 20 kids dribble basketballs - never had breaks that felt like this ever in any other vehicle. The seats are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever had in a vehicle, lumbar pushes into your back to much, the foam is way to stiff and the side bolsters too narrrow. Car vibrates with ac on at a stop.

Vanilla
The Accord is good. reliable transportation. The LX model is pretty plain with nothing fancy but that is what my wife wanted. We have had only a couple of repairs and the car has 96000 miles on it. WE have had all the recommended maintenance performed at the dealer and have found them to be reasonably priced. All things considered it is a very good car, just not that exciting.

Could use interior design improvements
Drives and handles well. The TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) light came on the second day I had the car and no matter how I tweak the tire pressure it won't go off (common problem). I assume this may have something to do with side airbags but the sun visors are poorly designed & are not long enough on both the right and left sides leaving gaps for sun glare. The center stereo console is too big & you need pretty long arms to reach the right side buttons comfortably. It's like they just made the buttons bigger and spaced them out to fill up space. The steering wheel has cheap plastic silver pieces in the center that I cannot believe they used. Plastic wheel covers are very cheap.
Bad Brakes at 16,000 miles!
My 2009 Honda Accord has only 16,000 miles on it and mostly highway miles. A few weeks ago I started to hear noises coming from the front end. I thought I was dragging metal or something. After a few weeks of hearing these random noises I took to my mechanic and he showed me the rear brake pads, which are completely gone and the front, which are 1/2 gone. I called the dealer and they said that it probably my driving style and this is "normal". I have done a lot of internet research and many are experiencing the same issue. I called American Honda Corp and they told me that there are no know issues and there is nothing they can do either. I now have a "new" car and I have to put out $400
