Used 2017 GMC Yukon Denali 4dr SUV 4WD (6.2L 8cyl 8A) Consumer Reviews
GM lemon
Let’s see. We have a 2017 yukon xl Denali. Let me list all of our issues. 35,000 miles the ac went out and Gm covered half the repair cost as the bumper to bumper had already expired. Automatic running board motor failed on driver side. Out of warranty time frame $1,000 repair. Middle tv does not function and was told $800-$1000 to repair. Fuel injection got stuck and had to replace the whole left side and cam shaft. $6000 repair that Gm agreed to pay half. Malfunctioning taillight. $800 repair. I have had more problems with this car that has yet to break 100,000 miles. Really stinks as I am not a Ford guy, but I am over GM products.

To many problems
Raising the gas mileage up to 22 mpg has created major issues. The engine has yet to be refined, the 8 speed trans is also having issues. My son has a 2015 and the kids have broken 2 exterior door handles off, the engine has to be replaced, computer problems (Gremlins). Quality for the price is just not there. I own a 2003 Yukon since new and it has 275k no work has been done on the engine or trans, bottom line is that they are not built the way they used to be. For close to the same price as a Denali, we bought a Mercedes Benz GLS 450, tows what we need, better warranty, built like no other SUV, and much better resale value. Dealer customer service is also second to none. Drop it off once a year for oil change service and inspection, get a loaner with out even asking.

GMC Yukon XL Denali 2017
My family and I purchased the GMC Yukon XL Denali thinking it would be a good vehicle for the family. We could not have been more wrong. We have owned this vehicle for a little over 4 years now. We have had to replace both rear struts once. That cost us $2,000. We have had to replace the front struts twice. That is about $3,600 in front struts. GM refuses to help us and to fix the problem that is clearly due to their error. Did I mention my front struts are now locked up again and needing to be replaced for a third time? Do not buy a Yukon, run for the hills. It's unfortunate for my family that we had to learn the hard way. I grew up with a father that swore by GM products. But after seeing how they treat us as loyal customers for over 40 years we will never buy another vehicle from them again.
