Used 2012 GMC Terrain Consumer Reviews
Deadly
Going down hill@20 miles engine died no longer power steering numerous curves and won't start. No warning light on Prayers answered when it stopped. Now it's not starting or making a noise Can't afford new engine ( what I was told) I really liked it. But not on any recall. I kept it up with the oil change and etc. Not sure what to do next. GMC you should check it out. This could kill someone !!

nice vehicle on overall quality. Poor fuel mileage
The fuel mileage of this vehicle is very incorrect. Rated at 22/32. The best I can get is 22 on the road.

I loved my car!
The vehicle was a pleasure to drive. It was cheap to keep. Got good gas mileage. Too bad it was totaled in an accident.

A thirsty beast!
We bought a 2012 GMC Terrain used with 32000 miles on it. It was fine until about 90000 miles and we noticed a clattering sound and I checked the oil, it was LOW!! More than 2 quarts low. I added the oil and in 3 weeks it was low again, added some more and the same thing happened. I started keeping a record of when I added oil and it came to about every 700 miles, this is not acceptable! I have never owned a vehicle that has used that much oil and I’ve owned some real clunkers! Took it to a mechanic and he put an oil additive in the engine which seem to help some. The oil lasts a little longer but still not good. Update: still have the car with 162000 miles on it but as soon as we get some money it’s gone!
