Best in Class
We have a fleet of similar cargo vans and all drivers agree the Ford is best of the lot. The Ford handles better the than the Dodge, Mercedes or the Nissan and has by far the best fuel economy. We have favored the Nissan NV until recently and have had a bad experience with the Dodge.

So so handling but good van.
The van definitely doesn’t handle like the old body on frame vans. I think the tires that are standard are not heavy enough. I put on stiffer tiers and it definitely helped the handling. Still not as secure feeling as the e- series. There is a wind noise coming from the passenger door that sounds like the window is open. It only happens on windy days. The tires are a oddly small size. The only tire I found with a 10 ply in that size is General Grabber. They made a big difference in handling. I'm not a huge fan of the transmission, it upshifts too soon and takes too long to downshift. I use the trailer tow mode most of the time but it sometimes gets stuck in a low gear. I will shut off trailer tow, let it shift up and then turn it back on. The 2020 is supposed to get a new 10 speed tranny, hopefully that takes care of that.

My experience
Love the van....but needs so improvements....needs a door on-off switch for cargo bay......annoying cargo lights stay on....long time and battery is getting weak,,,you think with all hi tech stuff they offer this...or make option.....the back up camera is to far away and small to read.....radio is very hard to use....not user friendly...not even am-fm fonts.. on buttons...have to log on like a computer...as long as they have made radios....this is first one I need instrutions to use.....also offer the simple more reliable 5.0 v8 engine...again...I pay extra for that.....and I am only getting 13.5 mph loaded with 3.7 v6...I had three speed automatics with 351 Windsor non areo econolines that got that good on gas. loaded 7,500 lb. also whats the reason for all the buttons for a/c and outside air...reminds me of the 80s.....have to keep pressing them got a 2005 Taurus that has simple controls and none of this...having to keep pressing compressor or outside air.....they all are good ..unloaded....but weight is great equalizer...love the hight options...and these new vans handle and ride very good.....easy entry...low so you can exit and load easy....

Worst van
This van is so tight and uncomfortable on inside. We took road trip and half hour later everyone wanted out. The Mirrors are so dangerous, so many blind spots. Gas mileage is horrible. The van is too tall, you might as well stand up in it. Definitely do not get this van
